Washingtonville is a village in the town of Blooming Grove, Orange County, New York, United States. The population was 5,657 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the larger New York–Newark–Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area. The village is named in honor of George Washington.

Blooming Grove is a town in Orange County, New York, United States. The population was 18,811 at the 2020 census. It is located in the central part of the county, southwest of Newburgh.

Brotherhood Winery is located in Washingtonville, New York. With its first commercial vintage produced in 1839, it is commonly acknowledged to be the oldest operating winery in the United States.: 5  In 2000 it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The winery's slogan is "America's Oldest Winery".

Washingtonville Senior High School is located on West Main Street (New York State Route 94) in the village of Washingtonville, New York. It is the high school for the Washingtonville Central School District. The adjacent middle school was once the high school. WHS has received accreditation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. Washingtonville High School has set forth three particular goals: 1) Students will demonstrate increased academic performance (i.e. achieving mastery rate (85%) on NYS Regents Examinations); 2) Students will demonstrate preparation for and motivation to study at more rigorous levels of learning (i.e. Advanced Placement/College Courses); and 3) Students will be engaged within a positive social and emotional environment. In athletics, some of the school's rivals are Monroe-Woodbury in football and Warwick Valley in cross country and track and field. Perhaps Washingtonville's biggest rivalry is with the John Jay Patriots in club ice hockey. Games between the two can attract up to 150 people from each school at Ice Time in Newburgh or the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie. The school recently completed an addition to the school.

Otter Kill is a 16.0-mile-long (25.7 km) tributary of Moodna Creek that flows through central Orange County, New York, in the United States. Via the Moodna, which it forms at a confluence with Cromline Creek north of the village of Washingtonville, its waters eventually reach the Hudson River. The Otter Kill flows primarily through rural, undeveloped areas of the towns of Goshen, Hamptonburgh and Blooming Grove. Development pressures in those areas have led the state Department of Environmental Conservation to classify it and a major tributary, Black Meadow Creek, as threatened streams.

Blooming Grove United Church of Christ, also known just as Blooming Grove Church and formerly known as The Congregational Church of Blooming Grove, is located at the junction of Old Dominion Road and NY 94 in the town of Blooming Grove, between the villages of Chester and Washingtonville in Orange County, New York, United States. It is a plain white Federal style building, notable for lacking the steeple or cupola commonly found on churches.

Salisbury Mills is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the towns of Blooming Grove and Cornwall in Orange County, New York, United States. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 580.The CDP is in eastern Orange County and is bordered to the north by Beaver Dam Lake. Salisbury Mills is built along Moodna Creek, which flows east into the Hudson River between New Windsor and Cornwall-on-Hudson. The Moodna Viaduct, the longest actively used rail trestle in the eastern United States, crosses Moodna Creek at the eastern edge of the CDP. New York State Route 94 forms the northern edge of the CDP. It leads northeast 6 miles (10 km) to New Windsor and southwest 10 miles (16 km) to Chester. Newburgh is 8 miles (13 km) to the northeast, and Middletown is 19 miles (31 km) to the west.

Beaverdam Lake-Salisbury Mills was a census-designated place (CDP) in Orange County, New York, United States. It encompassed a region in the corner of the towns of Blooming Grove, Cornwall, and New Windsor. As of the 2000 census, its population was 2,779. After the 2000 census, the area was counted as two separate CDPs: Beaver Dam Lake in the towns of Blooming Grove and New Windsor and Salisbury Mills in the towns of Blooming Grove and Cornwall. Beaverdam Lake is also the name of a lake next to the community. The area is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the larger New York–Newark–Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area.

As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 2,609.The CDP is in eastern Orange County, bordered to the west by the village of Washingtonville and to the south by Salisbury Mills. The community surrounds Beaverdam Lake, which drains south to Moodna Creek at Salisbury Mills. Moodna Creek flows into the Hudson River between New Windsor and Cornwall-on-Hudson. WJGK (103.1 FM) is a radio station located in Newburgh, New York, which plays mostly gold-based adult contemporary music. The station also has a wide playlist reaching into the Hot AC and Triple A charts. Originally known as WFMN ("FM Newburgh"; on-air October 29, 1966), the station was owned by brothers Wilbur and Donald Nelson until 1973, when they sold out to Stereo Newburgh, Inc. The following year, WFMN was bought by WGNY (AM), eventually changing its calls to WGNY-FM in 1985, then to WJGK in 2010. On February 14, 2002, at 12PM, WGNY-FM relaunched as Hits 103.1, The Best Hits and The Best Variety of the 80s, 90s and Today. On June 5, 2005, WGNY-FM started a simulcast with WTSX, a station located in Port Jervis, New York, relaunching first as The Fox 96.7 and Hits 103.1, then as Fox 96.7/103.1. It was at one time also known as The Fox 103.1-Your Adult Pop Alternative. WJGK's studios and transmitter are located in New Windsor, New York. On or around September 16, 2020, the station changed its name to Energy 103, under a Hot AC format.

Mountain Lodge Park is in the town of Blooming Grove in Orange County, New York, United States. It is built on the western slope of Schunemunk Mountain, the highest in the county. The population was 1,910 as of the 2020 census.

Little Britain is an area in the town of New Windsor, Orange County, New York, United States, south of and adjacent to Stewart International Airport. The name spread to the surrounding region, which at that time was part of Ulster County.
