Montessori School of Louisville, Inc (MSL) is a private, independent, non-profit school in Louisville, Kentucky. MSL is the only Montessori School in Louisville serving children from early childhood age through middle school. The school was formed by Montessori parents and educators in 2006 to provide Montessori middle school education in the Louisville area. The school relocated in 2009 to eastern Jefferson County in Springhurst Professional Plaza at 10263 Champion Farms Drive. In 2010, Montessori School of Louisville was recommended for accreditation by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

Freys Hill is a neighborhood of the U.S. city of Louisville, Kentucky, located along Freys Hill Road and Westport Road. It is sometimes referred to by its largest subdivision and accompanying shopping center, Springhurst.

Worthington is a neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky located along Brownsboro Road and Ballardsville Road. In the 1870s, a toll gate was built on Brownsboro Road (then known as Louisville and Brownsboro Turnpike) at its intersection with Ballardsville Road. In the early 1900s the area was primarily potato farms, but residential development which began in the 1940s accelerated with the opening of Interstates 71 and 265 in the late 1960s. Although the neighborhood has been heavily developed in recent years, Worthington Cemetery at Brownsboro Road and Chamberlain Lane remains a link to this area's rural past. Norton Commons, a Traditional Neighborhood Development consisting of 595 acres (2.41 km2), is currently being built on the site of the former WAVE farm which was previously owned by George Norton, the founder of Louisville's WAVE television station. A shopping center including Costco, Cabela's, and Lowe's has been built immediately to the northeast of the I-265/Brownsboro Road interchange. Norton Healthcare has established a major hospital campus in the same area, opening a general hospital in 2009, followed by a children's hospital and a cancer hospital.

The Paddock Shops is a shopping complex in the east end of Louisville, Kentucky USA, billed as a lifestyle center. Originally known as The Summit of Louisville, it is currently owned by Boston-based CPT Capital Management and managed by Chicago-based Fairbourne Properties. From its opening in 2001 until May 2013, it had been owned by a subsidiary of Prudential and managed by Birmingham, Alabama-based Bayer Properties.It has 367,500 square feet (34,140 m2) of retail space spread over 40 acres (160,000 m2) of land, with central parking surrounded by Mediterranean-themed storefronts. The primary entrance is on Kentucky Route 22.The shopping complex formally opened on November 1, 2001. On May 21, 2013, a Louisville business journal reported that CPT Capital Management had purchased the center for $111.5 million, and that Wilkow would take over from Bayer as property manager. Shortly after the sale, the new managers announced that the complex would be renamed via an online vote. Three choices were provided—Paddock Shops, Oaks Town Center, and Shops of Louisville—along with a write-in option. On August 15, 2013, Wilkow announced that the winning name was Paddock Shops, with nearly 30% of the vote, and new signage was immediately installed.

The Von Allmen Dairy Farm House in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 11, 2007. Built in 1919, it was owned by Emil Von Allmen, a Louisville dairy leader. It was described as "the last vestige of a well-known dairy farm".The house is of Bungalow/Craftsman style, 1½ stories high, with Neo-classical detailing. Eventually, the consolidation of dairy farming caused the farm to stop producing. Of the original 226 acres (0.91 km2), only 4 acres (16,000 m2) remain of the property, with the rest consumed by Louisville sprawl.Dean Corbett, chef of the Equus restaurant in St. Matthews, Kentucky, planned to restore the building into a new upscale restaurant called "Corbett's: An American Place". On December 13, 2007, it had a "soft opening" with a hard opening on December 15, 2007.
