Böhme is a municipality in the Heidekreis district, in Lower Saxony, Germany.

Bierde is a village in the municipality of Böhme, Lower Saxony, that is part of Heidekreis district in the German state of Lower Saxony.

Altenboitzen is a village and today a village within the borough of Walsrode in Heidekreis district in the German state of Lower Saxony. Formerly an independent municipality, it is part of Walsrode since 1974.

The Jordanbach is a river of Lower Saxony, Germany. It is a right-bank tributary of the Böhme. The Jordanbach lies entirely within the borough of Walsrode which is part of Heidekreis district in Lower Saxony. It is about 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) long and has its source in the bog Vehmsmoor, which it drains. It flows in a southerly direction through Altenboitzen and discharges southwest of the village into the Böhme. The Jordanbach gives its name to a railway line between Bomlitz and Altenboitzen, that is nowadays only used for tourist purposes, such as the special trains of the Heath Express run by the Lüneburg Transport Society (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Verkehrsfreunde Lüneburg). This section of the Verden – Walsrode line operated by the Verden-Walsrode Railway, which was formed in 1910, is also called the Jordan-Bomlitz Railway, because it runs from the valley of the Jordanbach to the Bomlitz valley.

Steimbke is a municipality in the district Nienburg, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 12 km east of Nienburg, and 40 km northwest of Hanover, in a swamp and heathland, whereas the Blindesee takes centre stage.

The Vehmsmoor is a nature reserve in North Germany. It is located in the borough of Walsrode within the district of Soltau-Fallingbostel in Lower Saxony. Its classification number is NSG LÜ 182.

Rodewald is an agricultural village in the district of Nienburg, Lower Saxony and is locally administrated by Steimbke. At 14 km (8.7 mi) in length, Rodewald is considered the second longest village in Lower Saxony, Germany and is split into three farming communities or peasantries, known simply as; Lower, Middle and Upper Farming Community (obere, mittlere and untere Bauerschaft). Ahlden House (German: Schloss Ahlden) is a stately home at Ahlden on the Lüneburg Heath in Lower Saxony, Germany. It was built in 1549, originally as a water castle on the river Aller, which has since changed its course. Nowadays the three-winged mansion is a private residence and is used as an arts auction house. It is principally known as the place of imprisonment of Sophia Dorothea of Celle, otherwise Sophie Dorothea of Brunswick-Lüneburg, wife of George I of Great Britain and the mother of George II of Great Britain.

Bunkenburg was a castle built during the 13th and 14th centuries in the shape of a circular fort located on the banks of the Aller opposite Ahlden in north Germany. Only a section of the rampart, roughly 60 metres long and 3 metres high, exists today. The name of the castle is probably derived from the material, bog iron, used for its construction and known in common parlance as Bunke.
