Frellstedt is a municipality in the district of Helmstedt, in Lower Saxony, Germany.

The Elm-Lappwald Nature Park (German: Naturpark Elm-Lappwald) is a nature park in southwest Lower Saxony, east of Brunswick in central Germany. It is dominated by the forested hill ranges of the Elm, Lappwald and Dorm as well as the region known as the Helmstedt Bowl (Helmstedter Mulde).

The village is located on the Schunter in Helmstedt district, Lower Saxony, about 6 km to the west of Helmstedt, by the Bundesstraße 1. It is one of the municipalities constituting the Nord-Elm municipal association. The former mining settlement of Nordschacht forms part of the municipality. Süpplingenburg, a separate village and municipality which emerged from a medieval castle complex, is located nearby.

Nord-Elm is a federation of municipalities (Samtgemeinde) in Helmstedt, Lower Saxony. Its capital is Süpplingen. It is a rural community, located in the Elm hills from which it receives its name. Nord-Elm has an area of 63.32 square kilometres (24.45 sq mi) and a population of around 5,634 people.Its member municipalities are Frellstedt, Räbke, Süpplingen, Süpplingenburg, Warberg, and Wolsdorf.

Warberg is a municipality in the district of Helmstedt, in Lower Saxony, Germany.

Süpplingenburg is a municipality in the district of Helmstedt, Lower Saxony, Germany. It is part of the collective municipality (Samtgemeinde) of Nord-Elm. The village developed next to a 10th-century water castle at the Schunter river, probably erected by the Counts of Haldensleben who then held the office of margraves of the Northern March. Gertrud von Haldensleben's daughter, Hedwig of Formbach, married Count Gebhard of Supplinburg. Until 1173 the castle was the seat of the Counts of Supplinburg, among them Gebhard's son Emperor Lothair III of Supplinburg. Lothair had a collegiate church and cloister built within the Supplinburg palace about 1130. In 1173 his grandson Henry the Lion granted Süpplingenburg to the Knights Templar order, from which it fell to the Knights Hospitaller in 1357. It remained a commandry (Komturei) of the Order of Saint John until in 1820 it was finally mediatised to the Duchy of Brunswick. The castle was demolished about 1875, while the St John Church survived, today a stop at the scenic Romanesque Road.

Wolsdorf is a municipality in the district of Helmstedt, in Lower Saxony, Germany.

Langeleben is a historical location at 260 m above sea level, in the northern part of the Elm ridge in Lower Saxony, Germany and today belongs to the nearby town of Königslutter am Elm. Langeleben was a crossing point for three ancient roads through the Elm district. In the past a respectable stately home, a moated castle built in the Middle Ages, stood here, as did a hunting lodge and hamlet which were also called Langeleben. This once important estate and village was home to an average of 80 residents who were responsible for the clearing and management of a large area of the then dense forest. A lightly wooded area for a cemetery contain many old graves under the trees. From the original castle only some remnants of the foundations can today be seen. No trace can be found of the village or former hunting lodge which once belonged to the Duke of Brunswick in the 18th century.
