George Washington Carver Academy is a public PreKindergarten-8 charter school in Highland Park, Michigan in Metro Detroit. It is located in a former Farmer Jack supermarket. It is named after George Washington Carver.

The Highland Park Ford Plant is a former Ford Motor Company factory located at 91 Manchester Street (at Woodward Avenue) in Highland Park, Michigan. It was the second American production facility for the Model T automobile and the first factory in history to assemble cars on a moving assembly line. It became a National Historic Landmark in 1978.

The New Mt. Moriah Baptist Church is located at 13100 Woodward Avenue in Highland Park, Michigan in Metro Detroit. It was built in 1922 as the Trinity United Methodist Church, in the Gothic Revival style. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Highland Park Community High School (often known as Highland Park High School) was a public high school in Highland Park, Michigan. About 775 students attended Highland Park in about 2012. Its mascot is the polar bears, and its school colors are blue and white. It was a part of Highland Park Schools, but had been operated as a charter school by Leona Group as the Highland Park Renaissance High School from August 2012, until the end of the 2014–2015 school year, when it was scheduled to close. It was later bulldozed and is now a vacant lot.

The Highland Park General Hospital is a former hospital complex located at 357 Glendale Avenue in Highland Park, Michigan. It was closed in 1976 and designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1979 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. The hospital primarily served African Americans. The building was later renovated into apartments, and is now the Bella Vista Glen Senior Apartments.

WHPR-FM (88.1 FM) is an Urban Oldies and Talk radio station based in Highland Park, Michigan, owned and operated by R. J.'s Late Night Entertainment Corporation.

The Medbury's–Grove Lawn Subdivisions Historic District is a residential historic district located in Highland Park, Michigan. It runs along three east–west streets: Eason Street, Moss Street, and Puritan Street, from Hamilton Avenue on the west to Woodward Avenue on the east. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Prayer Temple of Love Cathedral is located at 12375 Woodward Avenue in Highland Park, Michigan. It was built in 1929 as the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Soul Harvest Ministries is located at 16300 Woodward Avenue in Highland Park, Michigan. It was built in 1916 as the First United Methodist Church and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Detroit Repertory Theatre is a regional theatre located at 13103 Woodrow Wilson in Detroit, Michigan with a seating capacity of 194. It is Michigan's longest running, non-profit, professional (union) Theatre. The theatre began as a children's musical touring company in 1957 and performed throughout Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania, before it established itself on Woodrow Wilson Avenue in Detroit in 1963. It survived the race riots of 1967 and has been over the nearly 60 years of its existence often the only fully professional non-profit theatre in Detroit. The theatre averages about 60,000 admissions each year. Among the world premieres to open at Detroit Rep are Jacob M. Appel's Arborophilia in 2006 and Causa Mortis in 2009. William Roetzheim selected Appel's Causa Mortis for inclusion in Regional Best 2011 as one of the nine top plays to premiere at regional theaters during the 2009–10 season.

Highland Park Schools, officially the School District of the City of Highland Park, is a school district headquartered in Highland Park, Michigan, United States in Greater Detroit. The district serves the city of Highland Park, a total of 2.98 square miles (7.7 km2) of land.In 2012, the school board authorized the reorganization of the district as a "public school academy" system according to state law, and named it the Highland Park Public School Academy System. In turn, the school academy system has contracted with various charter school operators, who oversee the management and day-to-day operations of the district's properties. Beginning in 2017, the district has been in a Cooperative Education Program Agreement with Detroit Public Schools to offer high school services to students living in the district, with Northwestern High School as their neighborhood high school.

The Park United Presbyterian Church is located at 14 Cortland Street (at the intersection with Woodward Avenue) in Highland Park, Michigan. It was built in 1910 as the Highland Park Presbyterian Church, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, and designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1983. It is a member of The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), and continues to offer services.
