WHLS (1450 AM) is an alternative rock radio station licensed to Port Huron, Michigan, with a power output of 1,000 watts, covering much of St. Clair County, Michigan. It is the oldest continuously operating radio station serving St. Clair County. The station is owned by Radio First and broadcasts from studios on Huron Avenue in Downtown Port Huron. Its programming is also simulcasted on FM Translator W288BT, licensed to St. Clair, Michigan at 105.5 MHz, with an effective radiated power of 49 watts. The station currently broadcasts an alternative format branded as Port Huron's Alternative - Rock 105.5. Between 2000 and 2019, WHLS simulcasted its programming on sister station WHLX in Marine City, Michigan. That station is now known as 92.7 WHLX The Hills and has an Americana format. Until July 2020, WHLS competed with CHKS-FM 106.3 MHz in Sarnia, Ontario. The station flipped to Classic Hits, leaving WHLS as the standalone active rock station in the market.

WSAQ (107.1 FM) is a country music radio station licensed to Port Huron, Michigan, with an effective radiated power of 6,000 watts. WSAQ covers St. Clair County, Michigan and Lambton County, Ontario as well as portions of Macomb, Lapeer, and Sanilac counties. The station is owned by Radio First and broadcasts from studios on Huron Avenue in Downtown Port Huron.

Memorial Recreation Park is an athletic and recreation complex in Port Huron, Michigan. The main facility of the complex is a 5,500-seat stadium, home to the Port Huron Northern High School and Port Huron High School football teams. In addition, there are in the 27-acre (11 ha) complex tennis courts, four baseball fields, four softball fields, several football fields, and a quarter-mile track. The complex was built in 1945 and is dedicated to the men and women of Port Huron who served in World War II.

WNFA (88.3 FM) is a Christian teaching/worship radio station in Port Huron, Michigan, United States, branded as "Bluewater Christian Hit Radio". WNFA broadcasts with 1,300 watts. WNFA formerly featured programming from the WAY-FM Network (formerly the Christian Hit Radio Satellite Network) until national distribution of WAY-FM programming (except for "The Wally Show" mornings) to non-owned stations ceased on July 1, 2013. After a weekend of stunting with construction sounds, a revamped Power 88.3 debuted with a new local lineup. The Wally Show continues to air in morning drive. WNFA is also the former flagship station of the Christian teaching and inspirational music format "Wonderful News Radio," which now airs solely on sister station WNFR 90.7 FM. On June 22, 2022, at 9 a.m., WNFA changed their format from contemporary Christian to Christian teaching and worship, branded as "Thrive Radio".

Port Huron station is an Amtrak station in Port Huron, Michigan, and the eastern terminus of the Blue Water. The current station opened in 1979. It sits six blocks west of the St. Clair Tunnel, but the passenger tracks now terminate here and only freight tracks bypass the station and continue to Canada. Port Huron is the division point between the Flint Subdivision to Battle Creek, Michigan, and the Strathroy Subdivision to London, Ontario. The station was formerly served by the International Limited, which was operated jointly by Via Rail and Amtrak between Chicago and Toronto. The service, which had started in 1982, was discontinued in 2004. The Port Huron station had contained a United States Immigration Office while it served the International Limited.

Port Huron is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and the county seat of St. Clair County. The population was 28,983 at the 2020 census. The city is bordered on the west by Port Huron Township, but the two are administered autonomously. Port Huron is located along the source of the St. Clair River at the southern end of Lake Huron. The city is along the Canada–United States border and directly across the river from Sarnia, Ontario. The two cities are connected by the Blue Water Bridge at the eastern terminus of Interstate 94. Port Huron has the easternmost point of land in the state of Michigan and is also one of the northernmost areas included in the Detroit–Warren–Dearborn Metropolitan Statistical Area (Metro Detroit).

The Port Huron Fire of October 8, 1871 (one of a series of fires known collectively as the Great Fire of 1871 or the Great Michigan Fire) burned a number of cities including White Rock and Port Huron, and much of the countryside in the "Thumb" region of the U.S. state of Michigan (a total of 1.2 million acres, or 4,850 km²). On the same day, other fires burned the cities of Holland and Manistee, Michigan, as well as broad swaths of forest in various areas of the state; the Great Chicago Fire and the Peshtigo Fire also occurred on the same day. At least 50 people died as a result of the Port Huron Fire, and at least 200 from all the fires in the state.

The Marysville Power Plant, nicknamed the Mighty Marysville, was a coal-fired power plant in Marysville, Michigan on the shore of the St. Clair River. The plant was demolished on November 7, 2015, after the land was sold to a developer.

St. Clair County Community College (SC4) is a public community college in Port Huron, Michigan. It serves as the primary center of higher education for the Blue Water Area. SC4 offers Associate degree and certificate programs. It also offers online classes and transfer programs to four-year institutions. In addition, working with University Center partners, students can earn Bachelor's and Master's degrees without even leaving the SC4 campus. Classes are held in classrooms on the SC4 campus and taught online. SC4 has learning centers in Harbor Beach, Algonac, Yale, Peck, and Croswell, as well as its main campus in Port Huron. Through these regional centers, SC4 serves a large portion of the Thumb region of Michigan.

The Seventh Street–Black River Bridge is a bridge carrying Seventh Street over the Black River in Port Huron, Michigan. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. It is the only single-leaf bascule bridge in the state of Michigan.

The Port Huron Museum is a series of four museums located in Port Huron, Michigan, United States. It includes the Carnegie Center, Huron Lightship, Thomas Edison Depot Museum, and Fort Gratiot Lighthouse. The museum was founded in 1967.

The Carnegie Center is the main building in the Port Huron, Michigan museum system. The building was financed by a $40,000 donation from Pittsburgh philanthropist and steel entrepreneur Andrew Carnegie. It opened as the Port Huron Public Library on May 26, 1904. The keynote address was delivered by Melvil Dewey, State Librarian of New York, and creator of the Dewey Decimal System. In 1967, the Port Huron Public Library was moved and reconstituted as the St. Clair County, Michigan Library System. The new and larger structure is located at 210 McMorran Boulevard. Thereafter, the original building became the cornerstone of the museum.
