Zilwaukee Township, Michigan

The Zilwaukee Bridge is a high-level, segmental concrete bridge spanning the Saginaw River in the U.S. state of Michigan. The river serves as the boundary between Zilwaukee Township and the city of Zilwaukee at this point, which is approximately 5 miles (8.0 km) north of downtown Saginaw. The current eight-lane structure, completed in 1988, is the second such bridge at this location, replacing a four-lane bascule bridge constructed in 1960. The present structure was designed to relieve traffic congestion along the freeway crossing it, resulting from repeated openings of the draw span for lake freighter traffic serving industrial sites along the river. The Zilwaukee Bridge is approximately 8,000 feet (2,400 m) in length and rises 125 feet (38 m) at its highest point.

Zilwaukee is a city in Saginaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The 2020 census places the population at 1,534. The city is adjacent to and was created from Zilwaukee Township. It is the home of the Zilwaukee Bridge.

James Clements Municipal Airport (FAA LID: 3CM) is a city-owned, public-use airport located three nautical miles (6 km) south of the central business district of Bay City, in Bay County, Michigan, United States. It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, in which it is categorized as a local general aviation facility. It is also a seaplane base with landing areas on the Saginaw River, adjacent to the airport. The airport was dedicated in 1930 in commemoration of Bay City pilots who gave their lives for their country in military service. The Georgian Revival Administration Building became part of to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, and houses a collection of photographs of those pilots. It is home port for local chapters of the Civil Air Patrol and the Experimental Aircraft Association. Also centered there is the Valley Aero Club (which celebrates Father's Day with an annual fly-in breakfast in early June, and hosts an air show in August).Wetlands on the airport's edges are home to the cream-colored Eastern Prairie Fringed Orchid, which is a threatened and rare wildflower.

The Wolverine Secure Treatment Center (WSTC) is a private juvenile detention facility and charter school located at 2424 North Outer Drive in Buena Vista Township, Michigan, United States. The facility is owned and operated by Wolverine Human Services, and is a part of the Saginaw Intermediate School District.

Saginaw Metal Casting Operations is an automobile engine foundry plant in Saginaw, Michigan. Opened under GM management in 1919, the factory produces engine blocks and cylinder heads for General Motors vehicles. The factory currently occupies 1.9 million square feet on 490 acres. Historically in September 1927 it was known as the Chevrolet Grey Iron Foundry. In the past when it was called GM-Saginaw Product Company (SPC) a cloverleaf casting symbol mark was cast onto the iron component.The location has been the primary source of engine block and cylinder heads for all of GM's engines, to include Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick and GMC for most of the 20th century. The address is 1629 N Washington Ave. Saginaw, MI 48601, and is located on the Saginaw River. Camshafts, connecting rods and other internal engine components are manufactured at Bay City Powertrain. Casting operations were also provided by Massena Castings Plant and Defiance Foundry.

Harvey Randall Wickes Memorial Stadium, known simply as Wickes Stadium, is a 6,800-seat football stadium located in Kochville, Michigan and is a part of the Ryder Center sports complex on the Saginaw Valley State University campus. It is home to the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals football team. The Cardinals compete at the NCAA Division II level as a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Wickes Stadium can also be used for other events, including high school football, graduation ceremonies, and soccer. It is named for Harvey R. Wickes, one of the founders of SVSU.

Carrollton Public Schools is a public school district headquartered in Carrollton Township, Michigan. It is a part of the Saginaw Intermediate School District and serves the Carrollton Township area. Its schools include Carrollton Elementary School, Carrollton Middle School, and Carrollton High School.

Ryder Center for Health and Physical Education is an athletics and recreational complex located on the campus of Saginaw Valley State University in University Center, Michigan, United States. It was built in 1985 and is home to SVSU Cardinals sports teams. The Ryder Center includes: The Fieldhouse is a premiere facility offering an 85-yard football field with field turf surface, 300-meter indoor track with timing booth for all indoor track meets and four full batting cages for baseball & softball training. The fieldhouse is connected to all other amenities of the Ryder Center and is the second facility of its kind at the NCAA Division II level. Carrollton Township ( KAR-əl-tən) is a civil township of Saginaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 6,103 at the 2010 census. Established in 1866, Carrollton contains a full-time police department, fire department, parks and recreation services, as well as its own public school system, Carrollton Public Schools. Along with being located on the Saginaw River, Carrollton offers close access to shopping malls, medical facilities, Saginaw Valley State University, and I-75. At only 3.34 square miles (8.7 km2) of land area, Carrollton Township is the fourth-smallest township in the state of Michigan, after Novi Township, Royal Oak Charter Township, and Pointe Aux Barques Township.

WNEM-TV (channel 5) is a television station licensed to Bay City, Michigan, United States, serving northeastern Michigan as a dual affiliate of CBS and MyNetworkTV. Owned by Gray Television, the station maintains studios on North Franklin Street in downtown Saginaw, with a second newsroom in downtown Flint. Its transmitter is located on Becker Road in Robin Glen-Indiantown, in Buena Vista Township, east of Saginaw.

Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) is a public university in University Center, Michigan in Saginaw County. It was founded in 1963 as Saginaw Valley College. It is located on 748 acres (303 ha) in Saginaw County's Kochville Township, approximately 5.5 miles (8.9 km) north of downtown Saginaw. Saginaw Valley State is the newest of Michigan's 15 public colleges and universities. SVSU offers over 100 academic programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels with approximately 8,500 students at its main campus in University Center. SVSU offers programs of study in its five colleges.
