The Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum is an art museum that focuses on the life and works of sculptor Marshall Fredericks. The museum is affiliated with Saginaw Valley State University, and is located in university's Arbury Fine Arts Center in University Center, Michigan. Admission is free.

Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) is a public university in University Center, Michigan in Saginaw County. It was founded in 1963 as Saginaw Valley College. It is located on 748 acres (303 ha) in Saginaw County's Kochville Township, approximately 5.5 miles (8.9 km) north of downtown Saginaw. Saginaw Valley State is the newest of Michigan's 15 public colleges and universities. SVSU offers over 100 academic programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels with approximately 8,500 students at its main campus in University Center. SVSU offers programs of study in its five colleges.

Ryder Center for Health and Physical Education is an athletics and recreational complex located on the campus of Saginaw Valley State University in University Center, Michigan, United States. It was built in 1985 and is home to SVSU Cardinals sports teams. The Ryder Center includes: The Fieldhouse is a premiere facility offering an 85-yard football field with field turf surface, 300-meter indoor track with timing booth for all indoor track meets and four full batting cages for baseball & softball training. The fieldhouse is connected to all other amenities of the Ryder Center and is the second facility of its kind at the NCAA Division II level. Campus Recreation Center/Fitness Center The Fitness Center encompasses over 63,000 sq. ft. offering fitness machines, free weights, walking/running track, and three basketball courts. Harvey Randall Wickes Memorial Stadium, known simply as Wickes Stadium, is a 6,800-seat football stadium located in Kochville, Michigan and is a part of the Ryder Center sports complex on the Saginaw Valley State University campus. It is home to the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals football team. The Cardinals compete at the NCAA Division II level as a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Wickes Stadium can also be used for other events, including high school football, graduation ceremonies, and soccer. It is named for Harvey R. Wickes, one of the founders of SVSU.

WMAX (1440 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Catholic religious format. It is co-owned with WDEO 990 AM in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and features the same programming from the EWTN Global Catholic Radio network.

Fashion Square Mall is an enclosed shopping mall located in the northern edge of Saginaw Charter Township, Michigan. It lies within the boundaries of M-84 (Bay Road) to the west, Tittabawassee Road to the north, Fashion Square Blvd. to the east, and Schust Road to the south. The mall serves the city of Saginaw, its suburbs, and the greater Great Lakes Bay Region . It features more than 100 tenants, including a food court, and its anchor stores are JCPenney and Macy's.

Valley Lutheran High School is a private parochial school located in Saginaw Charter Township, Michigan. The school is owned and operated by the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. It was founded in 1977.

Carrollton Public Schools is a public school district headquartered in Carrollton Township, Michigan. It is a part of the Saginaw Intermediate School District and serves the Carrollton Township area. Its schools include Carrollton Elementary School, Carrollton Middle School, and Carrollton High School.

Carrollton Township ( KAR-əl-tən) is a civil township of Saginaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 6,103 at the 2010 census. Established in 1866, Carrollton contains a full-time police department, fire department, parks and recreation services, as well as its own public school system, Carrollton Public Schools. Along with being located on the Saginaw River, Carrollton offers close access to shopping malls, medical facilities, Saginaw Valley State University, and I-75. At only 3.34 square miles (8.7 km2) of land area, Carrollton Township is the fourth-smallest township in the state of Michigan, after Novi Township, Royal Oak Charter Township, and Pointe Aux Barques Township.

Zilwaukee is a city in Saginaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The 2020 census places the population at 1,534. The city is adjacent to and was created from Zilwaukee Township. It is the home of the Zilwaukee Bridge.

Saginaw Township North is an unincorporated community and former census-designated place (CDP) in Saginaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The community is located within Saginaw Charter Township, and the CDP boundaries consisted of most of the northern portion of the township. Saginaw Township South is in the southern portion of the township. The population of the Saginaw Township South CDP was 24,994 at the 2000 census. The CDP was dissolved and not included in the 2010 census.
