Winnebago Mental Health Institute (WMHI), formerly the Winnebago State Hospital, is a psychiatric hospital near Oshkosh, Wisconsin, United States located in the unincorporated community of Winnebago, Wisconsin.

WOSH (1490 AM) is a radio station serving the Oshkosh, Wisconsin area with a news/talk format including the ABC News Radio network. This station is under ownership of Cumulus Media. The station began broadcasting on December 31, 1941. During the late 1960s until 1975, WOSH was the leading Top 40 radio station in the Appleton-Oshkosh market, with Jonathon Brandmeier as the station's star disc jockey. On August 1, 1975, AM 1490's callsign was changed from WOSH to WYTL, and its format changed from top 40 to modern country. This change was advertised as a "frequency swap" to listeners, where WYTL-FM "moved" along with its country format to AM 1490, and WOSH-AM "moved" to FM 103.9 with its top 40 format. In 1984, the call sign WOSH was reinstated to 1490 and the current news/talk format established.

Oshkosh North High School is a public secondary/high school located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Part of the Oshkosh Area School District, the school serves students in grades 9 through 12. As of 2021, there are 1,193 students enrolled at the school. It is referred to by students as "North". The facility holds an in-house TV studio, swimming pool, field house with Weight Room, and an auditorium. The school was built in 1972 as a second high school for the city, when the Oshkosh West High School, formerly known as Oshkosh High School, facilities became too small to support the growing number for students. The school first opened as an open-concept school, with modular walls between classrooms, and multiple classes taking place in one room at the same time. After the 70s, the school began to shift toward a traditional layout, adding in permanent walls and separating many of the large classrooms.

The Menominee Park Zoo is a free, small 8-acre (3.2 ha) zoo located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, within Menominee Park, operated by the Oshkosh Zoological Society.Menominee Park is the city's largest park located on the near north side of Oshkosh on Lake Winnebago. The zoo is surrounding the lagoon at the center of the park. The zoo was founded in 1945. A couple donated funds to begin free access in 2006.The zoo typically houses between 30 and 50 animals, including many different kinds of otters, elk, wolves, tortoises, birds, and some other seasonal animals. Peacocks roam freely around the zoo.

Garlic Island, or Island Park, is an island in Winnebago County, Wisconsin. The island is located in Lake Winnebago near its west shoreline. The entirety of the island is in the town of Oshkosh. Garlic Island was the wintering site of a British Encampment during the War of 1812. This encampment was led by Col. Robert Dickson, and suffered greatly during the winter of 1813.

WWWX (96.9 FM, "96.9 The Fox") is an alternative rock formatted radio station licensed to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, that serves the Appleton-Oshkosh area. The station is owned by Cumulus Media. The station shares a transmitter site with WNAM located along I-41.

WNAM (1280 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Neenah-Menasha, Wisconsin, that serves the Appleton-Oshkosh radio market. The station is owned by Cumulus Media. WNAM uses the "America's Best Music" radio format supplied by co-owned Westwood One, that combines soft oldies with a few adult standards and middle of the road songs each hour. The station also carries Wisconsin Timber Rattlers baseball. Most hours begin with ABC News Radio.

The Richard Guenther House in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, United States, is a large, fine Queen Anne house designed by Waters and built by Jacob Rheiner in 1888 for Richard W. Guenther. Guenther was a Prussian immigrant who owned a drug store in Oshkosh, became Wisconsin state treasurer, US Congressman, and consul to Mexico City, Frankurt, and Cape Town. From 1906 to 1913 the large house hosted Dr. M. E. Corbett's new Lakeside Sanitorium and Training School for Nurses, the first hospital in Oshkosh, which later evolved into Mercy Medical Center.Largely unaltered, the house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 for its architectural significance, for its association with Guenther, and for its service as Oshkosh's first hospital.

The First Methodist Church in Oshkosh, Wisconsin is a historic church at 502 N. Main Street. It was built as the Wagner Opera House. The main structure was built in Italianate style 1874-75 but it was renovated extensively to its current Neoclassical appearance in 1924–25. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.It is a brick building. It is unusual in Wisconsin as an urban church building with storefronts at street-level. The building was begun as an opera house, until damaged by a fire in 1874. At that point the Methodist congregation bought it and completed it as a Neo-Classical-styled church. After they moved to a new building in 1970, it was used by Boys' Club and as a homeless shelter.
