Neder-Betuwe

Opheusden is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Neder-Betuwe, and lies some 5 km south-west of Wageningen. Opheusden (or "Heusden", as it was known then) was a separate municipality until 1818, when it was merged with Kesteren.The town was devastated in October 1944 during the failed German counterattack against the Nijmegen salient after Operation Market Garden had failed. The Opheusden statistical area, which includes the village centre, its outskirts, and the surrounding countryside, covers an area of 220 hectares. It had a resident population on 1 January 2018 of 5,630, living in 1,960 households. The built-up area of the village covers 73 hectares.

Opheusden is a railway station located in Opheusden, Netherlands. The station opened on 1 November 1882 and is on the Elst–Dordrecht railway. Train services are operated by Arriva. The station temporarily closed between 1890 and 1898. Between 1882 and 1890, this station was called Dalwagen(straat).

Dodewaard is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Neder-Betuwe, and lies about 7 km south of Wageningen. Dodewaard was a separate municipality until 2002, when it became a part of Kesteren. Before 1818, the municipality was called "Hien en Dodewaard".It also houses the now defunct Dodewaard nuclear power plant.

The Grebbeberg is a 52-meter high hill located east of Rhenen, Netherlands in the province of Utrecht. It forms the southeastern tip of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, a moraine. Due to its strategic location with a view of the Lower Rhine and the Betuwe, this hill was historically of great importance. The Grebbe Line was constructed from here in the 18th century. The hill is best known for the Battle of the Grebbeberg in May 1940. On the Grebbeberg is the Grebbeberg War Cemetery where Dutch soldiers are buried.

The Battle of the Grebbeberg (Dutch: Slag om de Grebbeberg) was a major engagement during the Battle of the Netherlands, which was a part of the World War II Operation Fall Gelb in 1940.

Grebbeberg War Cemetery (Dutch: Militair Ereveld Grebbeberg) is a Second World War military war grave cemetery, located on the Grebbeberg, a hill 2 km (1.2 mi) east of Rhenen the Netherlands. The cemetery contains 799 military personnel and one civilian who died during the invasion of the Netherlands by the Germans in May 1940. More than 400 of those interred in the cemetery fell during the Battle of the Grebbeberg.

Hien is a neighbourhood of Dodewaard and a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Neder-Betuwe, about 1 km east of Dodewaard. It was first mentioned in the late 9th century as Hehun. The etymology is unclear. Around 1300, Hien becomes an independent parish. The tower of church burned down in 1641 and was replaced in 1787. In 1842, the church was demolished and replaced by a new church. In 1840, it was home to 637 people. It grew into a single urban area with Dodewaard and most of the original village including the church has been annexed. There are about a dozen houses in the hamlet left.

Hemmen-Dodewaard is a railway station in the municipality Neder-Betuwe, Netherlands, located between the villages Hemmen and Dodewaard. The station opened on 1 November 1882 and is on the Elst–Dordrecht railway. Train services are operated by Arriva.

Ouwehands Dierenpark is a zoo in Rhenen, in the Dutch province of Utrecht. The zoo is located on the Laarschenberg, a "mountain" that makes up the south-eastern tip of the great Utrecht Hill Ridge.

O Mundo is a restaurant housed in Hotel de Wereld in Wageningen, The Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star for the period 2010–2013.Gault & Millau awarded the restaurant 15 out of 20 points.O Mundo's head chef is Dennis Richter Uitdenbogaardt, with the help of hotel owner-chef Addie Roelofsen. Baltasar Tieskens, who joined in 2008 from Cordial, was the first chef to earn a star. Richter Uitdenbogaardt took over in 2011, when Tieskens left, and retained the star.The hotel where the restaurant is housed was the location where Oberbefehlshaber Niederlande German commander-in-chief Generaloberst Johannes Blaskowitz surrendered to I Canadian Corps commander Lieutenant-General Charles Foulkes on 5 May 1945, ending World War II in the Netherlands. The building is owned by the Wageningen University and Research Centre. The hotel was revived in 2002, when Addie Roelofsen took over the hotel (but not the actual building) and renovated the place to modern standards within its historical context. In September 2013, Jaap Venendaal took over the hotel.O Mundo means "The World" in Portuguese - the same as the hotel's name in Dutch.
