Raalte

Raalte is a railway station located in Raalte, Netherlands. The station originally opened on 1 January 1881 and is located on the Zwolle–Almelo railway. The train services are currently operated by Keolis Nederland. Between 1910 and 1935, there was also a railway line between Deventer and Ommen which crossed the Zwolle–Almelo railway at Raalte.

Heino is a village in the province of Overijssel in the Netherlands. It belongs to the municipality of Raalte and it has 7,080 inhabitants (January 2018). The village has a railway station along the railway Zwolle - Enschede and it can also be reached by the road N35. Heino was a separate municipality until 2001, when it merged with Raalte to form a new municipality with the name Raalte.Heino is very touristic village with many estates and country houses. South-west of Heino, just across the railroad and the border to the municipality Olst-Wijhe, stands the castle Nijenhuis. It hosts an important art museum ( Constant Permeke, Van Gogh et al.). Around the castle is a sculpture garden (Ossip Zadkine et al.). Every third week of August the village celebrates the 'Pompdagen' (Pumpdays), mentioned after the local Leugenpompe village pump. The highlight of a series of joyful events is the so-called "Daggie Old Heino", including trades and handicraft from the past; markets and folk music. It draws thousands of visitors to Heino.

Den Aalshorst is a country house in the hamlet of Millingen in the municipality of Dalfsen in the Dutch province of Overijssel. The 450-hectare property is privately owned, but completely open to the public. It features an open landscape interspersed with 150 hectares of deciduous forest. As of 2007, the property was owned by 'N.V. den Aalshorst'. The original house on the property was built in 1644, and rebuilt in 1720. Several features were added after this, including the two additional houses, some alleys, a grand canal, a moated manor garden, scenic avenues and a fishpond.The property also has a garden from the 18th and 19th centuries with many original features including borders, water features and a collection of old fruit trees. The orchard contains many varieties of apple, pear and cherry trees. Garden tours are occasionally offered to the public.The historical value of the site is recognized under Rijksmonument complex # 528700 (with several sub-numbers for various features on the property).

Hoonhorst is a village in the municipality of Dalfsen in the province of Overijssel, Netherlands. It is a Catholic enclave in a Protestant area. It located about 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) east of Zwolle.

Dalfsen is a railway station located in Dalfsen, Netherlands. The station was opened on 15 January 1903 and is located on the Zwolle–Emmen railway. Train services are operated by Arriva. The station is situated south of the river Vecht. Dalfsen is on the north bank of the river. Previously, this station was called Dalfsen dorp (1903-1904), to differentiate it from another station called Dalfsen on the nearby Zwolle-Meppel railway line. On 1 November 1904, that station was renamed Berkum. Subsequently, this station was renamed Dalfsen.

Rechteren Castle (Dutch: Kasteel Rechteren) is a Dutch castle situated on an island on side-branch of Overijsselse Vecht river, near the village of Dalfsen. It is the only castle in the province Overijssel from the Middle Ages that still exists.

Dalfsen (Dutch: [ˈdɑl(ə)fsə(n)] ; Dutch Low Saxon: Dalsen) is a municipality and a town in the Salland region of the Dutch province of Overijssel. The municipality of Dalfsen was increased to its current size on 1 January 2001 through the amalgamation of the municipalities of Nieuwleusen and Dalfsen. A variety of Sallands is spoken here by segment of the population.

Wijhe is a railway station located in Wijhe, Olst-Wijhe, The Netherlands. The station was opened on 1 October 1866 and is located on the Deventer - Zwolle section of the Arnhem–Leeuwarden railway. The train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen. The station was closed between 15 May 1936 and 1 June 1940.

The Dalfsen train crash occurred on 23 February 2016 when a passenger train collided with a tracked elevated work platform on a level crossing at Dalfsen, Overijssel, Netherlands. One person was killed and six were injured, one seriously.
