Coatesville, New Zealand

Coatesville mansion, originally known as Chrisco mansion, then Dotcom mansion, and lately Mahoenui Valley, is a mansion in Coatesville north of Auckland in New Zealand. It is one of the country's most expensive houses.

Lucas Heights is one of the northernmost suburbs of the contiguous Auckland metropolitan area in New Zealand. It is on the North Shore, directly west of Albany, and is located in the Albany ward for local government purposes.

The two compounds are separate but located close together in a rural area. The prison contains New Zealand's only specialist maximum-security unit, housing some of the most severe criminals in the country. Its old names of 'Paremoremo' and 'Pare' are still well-known and used throughout New Zealand.

The Upper Harbour Local Board is one of the 21 local boards of the Auckland Council, and is one of the two boards overseen by the council's Albany Ward councillors. The board is named for the upper reaches of Auckland's Waitematā Harbour. Its administrative area consists of the suburbs clustered around the upper reaches, and covers much of the north of Auckland's North Shore and part of West Auckland.The board is governed by six board members elected at-large.

Kristin School is a private co-educational composite school located in Albany, North Shore, New Zealand. Kristin is an IB World School with approximately 1661 students.The school was established in 1973 by a small group of parents, and is owned by the Kristin School Charitable Trust (non-profit making – fees are used to pay expenses and facilities) and is governed by trustees and governors appointed from both the school and the wider community. Kristin contains a Kindergarten as well as an Early Learning Centre known as Little Doves and is divided into three separate schools – Junior (years 0–6), Middle (years 7–10), and Senior (years 11–13). Reflecting contemporary managerialism, each school has its own principal and an executive principal has overall responsibility to the Board of Governors.

Albany Senior High School is a state coeducational senior secondary school situated in North Harbour, Auckland, New Zealand. Opened in February 2009, it was New Zealand's first state senior secondary school, catering for students in Years 11 to 13 (ages 14 to 18) only; most New Zealand secondary schools traditionally cater for Years 9 to 13. As of February 2023, the school has a roll of 477 students.

Albany (Māori: Ōkahukura) is one of the northernmost suburbs of the contiguous Auckland metropolitan area in New Zealand. It is located to the north of the Waitematā Harbour, 15 kilometres (9 mi) northwest of the Auckland city centre. The suburb is in the Albany ward, one of the thirteen administrative divisions of Auckland Council. Much of the land to the north of Albany is still semi-rural. The Māori name for the area was Okahukura (literally, 'place of rainbows' or 'place of butterflies'). The town was originally known as Lucas Creek. By 1890 it was a fruit-growing area and in that year it was renamed 'Albany' after the fruit-growing district called 'Albany' in Australia, pronounced with a short 'a' as in Albert. The name Albany derives from Alba (Gaelic for Scotland) and its Latinisation.

Lucas Creek is a stream and tidal estuary of Upper Waitematā Harbour in the Auckland Region of New Zealand's North Island. It flows through Albany on the western North Shore, and enters the Upper Waitematā Harbour between Pāremoremo and Greenhithe.

Auckland Surf Park is a proposed heated artificial surfing lagoon. In 2023, it was decided that the park would be located in Dairy Flat, several kilometres west of the Hibiscus Coast in north Auckland. Once completed, it will be the world's first heated artificial surfing lagoon.

The 1943 Liberator crash at Whenuapai was an aircraft accident in New Zealand during World War II.

North Harbour Stadium is a stadium situated in Albany, in North Shore City, New Zealand. It was opened in 1997, after nearly a decade of discussion, planning and construction. Rugby union, association football, rugby league, and baseball are all played on the main ground. The neighbouring oval plays host to the senior cricket and Australian rules football matches. The stadium also hosts large open-air concerts.
