Lake City High School (LCHS) is a public high school in Lake City, Michigan, United States. It serves grades 9–12 for the Lake City Area Schools.

Lake Missaukee is a freshwater lake located in Missaukee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The lake is mostly surrounded by Lake Township, while bordering Lake City to the east and a very small portion extending north into Caldwell Township.

Goose Lake National Forest was established as the Goose Lake Forest Reserve by the U.S. Forest Service in Oregon on August 21, 1906 with 630,000 acres (2,500 km2). It became a National Forest on March 4, 1907. On July 1, 1908 the entire forest was added to Fremont National Forest and the name was discontinued.

The Cadillac micropolitan area is a micropolitan statistical area (μSA) defined by the United States Census Bureau as an area encompassing two counties (Missaukee and Wexford) in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population of the μSA was 48,725 at the 2020 census (33,673 in Wexford County and 15,052 in Missaukee County).The principal city of the μSA is Cadillac, which had a population of 10,371 at the 2020 census.

Most of Missaukee and Wexford Counties are served by the Wexford–Missaukee Intermediate School District, which coordinates the efforts of local boards of education, but has no operating authority over schools. Local school boards in Michigan retain great autonomy over day-to-day operations.

Haring Township is a charter township of Wexford County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 3,556 at the 2020 census, making it the most populous township in Wexford County. The township has a boundary with the city of Cadillac, to the south.
