Hartland Township, Michigan

Hartland High School is a public high school located in Hartland Township, near the historic village of Hartland, within Livingston County, Michigan. The school serves over 2,000 students in grades 9 to 12 in the Hartland Consolidated Schools district. Hartland High School offers a variety of classes for students to choose; the standard high school track, an advanced placement program which offers college credit, college preparatory courses for students likely to pursue higher education, career-based tracks for those likely to enter the labor force immediately upon graduation, and woodshop.

Hartland is a census-designated place (CDP) comprising the main community in Hartland Township, in Livingston County, Michigan, United States. US Highway 23 forms the western edge of the community; the highway leads north 27 miles (43 km) to Flint and south the same distance to Ann Arbor. Hartland was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

Brighton Charter Township is a charter township of Livingston County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the township population was 19,144. The township is bordered on the southwest by the city of Brighton, but the two are administered autonomously.

The Aeronca Museum is an online museum that hosts a collection of artifacts and aircraft produced by Aeronca (the Aeronautical Corporation of America) (a.k.a. Aeronca, Inc. or Aeronca Aircraft, now Magellan Aerospace Corp.), a prominent U.S. light aircraft manufacturer from 1928 to 1951. The museum is instituted to "preserve the knowledge and history of Aeronca aircraft in the public trust" and keep it "available for future generations," with the objective "to be the premier research library for all things Aeronca."

The Rowe House is a single-family home at 2360 Lone Tree Road, northwest of Milford, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The Timothy and Lucretia Jones Warner Homestead is a farmstead and archaeological site (the Warner Site, designated 20LV334) located at 4001 Pleasant Valley Road near Brighton, Michigan.

Tyrone Township is a civil township of Livingston County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 10,020 at the 2010 census, up from 8,459 at the 2000 census. The township was named after County Tyrone in Northern Ireland.

Brighton Mall is a shopping mall located in Brighton, Michigan, United States. Opened in 1971 as an enclosed shopping mall, the center was re-developed in 1996 as a power centre, retaining the name Brighton Mall. Anchor stores for the property are Marshalls, Michaels, Aldi, PetSmart, Jo-Ann Etc., Best Buy, and Gardner-White Furniture.

St. Augustine Catholic Church and Cemetery is a historic site in Hartland, Michigan. It is associated with Fr. Patrick O’Kelly, a missionary priest who was active in Southeastern Michigan. The church was built in 1843 and added to the National Register in 1996.

Milford High School, a public high school in the Huron Valley School District serving students in ninth through twelfth grades, is located in Highland Township in Oakland County, Michigan, near Highland. The school was founded in 1861. After over a century in Milford, the school moved to its present location in Highland Township in 1956. The new high school would survive the 1976 opening of Lakeland High School and has been renovated and expanded several times since. The athletic teams were originally called the Trojans when the school was located in downtown Milford, Michigan. Later the teams were renamed "the Redskins". The mascot was later changed to the Mavericks during the 2002–2003 school year which in turn meant the last graduating class for the Redskins was in 2005. The new athletic team name—the Mavericks—was adopted after a school-wide vote. The school colors are officially cardinal red and white; however, other colors have been featured prominently in athletic uniforms over the years, including maroon, gold, silver, and black. During the late 1980s and through the 1990s Milford excelled in a variety of sports. This trend started when the baseball team finished as state runners-up in 1989. In 1989/90 the men's basketball team had an undefeated regular season and finished 23-1 (That team also featured 5 starters with a GPA above 3.75). The 1990s also produced several All-State Cross Country and Track athletes, along with Milford's first Class A state championship in Equestrian.

Camp Dearborn is a park in Milford Township, Michigan owned by the city of Dearborn, Michigan. The 626 acres (2.53 km2) park has several ponds and lakes as well as access to the Huron River, a half-mile swimming beach, swimming pool, picnic sites, and camping areas. Activities include fishing, paddle boat rentals, hayrides, dances, miniature golf and a 27-hole golf course. Canoe/kayaks can launch into the Huron River while a bike trail connects to downtown and other local parks. Camping is available for tents and RVs on 191 sites (including a section for permanent trailers) and in 118 permanent tents and 30 cabins. Camp Dearborn opened on May 29, 1948, under leadership of Mayor Orville L. Hubbard. Services in the park are provided by Dearborn city employees. During the Great Recession of 2008, Dearborn investigated selling off the camp but found that the camp was profitable and that there was no prospect of a reasonably profitable sale due to zoning issues.

The Huron Valley Council for the Arts (formerly Highland United Methodist Church) is a historic Victorian Gothic building at 205 West Livingston Road in Highland, Michigan. It was designated a Michigan State Historic Site and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. Highland Township purchased this building in 1981 and is now home to the Huron Valley Council for the Arts.
