The Old Michigan Avenue School, also known as the Grass Lake Public School or the Schoolhouse Square Apartments, is a former school building located at 661 East Michigan Avenue in Grass Lake, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Bishop Nathaniel was enthroned as the ruling hierarch of the diocese on November 17, 1984, following the retirement of Archbishop Valerian (Trifa). He was elevated to the rank of Archbishop on October 20, 1999. On February 1, 2020 Archimandrite Andrei (Secular Name: Dan) Hoarște was consecrated Auxiliary/ Vicar Bishop of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America; at the Diocesan Cathedral of Saint George in (Southfield) Detroit, Michigan. With attendance of All Clergy of the Episcopate and OCA Bishops.

The school's mascot is the Pirates, and athletic teams compete in the Cascades Conference with Addison, East Jackson, Hanover-Horton, Grass Lake, Michigan Center, Manchester, and Vandercook Lake. Napoleon High School services students from Napoleon and Norvell Townships, as well as outlying areas of Columbia and Grass Lake Townships as a part of Napoleon Community Schools.

Napoleon Airport (FAA LID: 3NP) is a privately owned, public use airport located 1 mile northwest of Napoleon in Jackson County, Michigan. The airport sits on 95 acres at an elevation of 963 feet. The airport is a hub for skydiving, with multiple locations at the airport. The airport is one of Michigan's original turbine drop zones. Jumping evaluators, tandem examiners, accelerated freefall instructors, and senior and master riggers are available. Skydiving is usually available from May to October, and it is open on weekends for the rest of the year, weather permitting. The airport was bought by Skydive Tecumseh, the main skydiving operator at the airport, in 2016.
