Cochituate, Massachusetts

The Weston Aqueduct is an aqueduct operated by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA). Now part of the MWRA backup systems, it was designed to deliver water from the Sudbury Reservoir in Framingham to the Weston Reservoir in Weston. The 13.5-mile (21.7 km) aqueduct begins at the Sudbury Dam, and passes through the towns of Southborough, Framingham, Wayland, and Weston. In 1990, the route, buildings and bridges of the aqueduct were added to the National Register of Historic Places as the Weston Aqueduct Linear District.

The Hopestill Bent Tavern is a historic First Period tavern (now a private residence) in Wayland, Massachusetts, United States. The oldest portion of this 2+1⁄2-story building was built on this site c. 1710, and consisted of two rooms with a central chimney. Around 1800 a second First Period structure was moved to the site and attached to the first, giving the building most of its present form. The building is also unusual for the period in that some of its rooms have no fireplace, and that the upstairs exhibits evidence of significant reuse of older building materials, a practice that was generally restricted to the attic or basement. The building exhibits modest Federal styling, in keeping with the c. 1800 alterations. Its builder and first proprietor was Hopestill Bent (1672–1725). Hopestill Bent fought in King William's War (one of the French and Indian Wars). Hopestill Bent was the great-grandfather of Silas Bent Jr. and great-great-grandfather of Charles Bent, the trader and first territorial Governor of New Mexico during the Mexican-American WarThe building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Wayland High School is the public high school for the town of Wayland, Massachusetts, United States. During the 2022-2023 school year, there were 824 students enrolled at the high school. The Robert Jenison House is a historic house at 1 Frost Road in Natick, Massachusetts. It is a 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house, five bays wide, with a side-gable roof, large central chimney, and clapboard siding. The house was built c. 1738 by Robert Jenison. It is one of the town's oldest buildings, and its builder is known to have built a number of other houses in Sudbury and Sherborn. The house was originally part of a 200 acre tract of land that was sold by the Natick Indians despite protests from John Eliot. There is an outbuilding on the property that is marked as the site where Vice President Henry Wilson learned to make shoes.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, where it is listed at 470 Winter Street.

Reeves Tavern is a historic colonial tavern (now a private residence) in Wayland, Massachusetts. Built in 1762–63, it is one of the town's best preserved examples of an early tavern. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

The Lake Cochituate Dam is a historic dam on the southwestern side of Lake Cochituate in Framingham, Massachusetts. The 62-foot (19 m) dam was built in 1890, replacing two earlier wooden dams, dating back to the 1846 construction of the Cochituate Aqueduct. The core of the dam is granite rubble laid in concrete. Lake Cochituate was taken out of service as part of Boston's public water supply in the 1930s, and the lake and dam were eventually turned over to the state, which established Cochituate State Park.The dam was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Broomstones Curling Club is the largest curling club in the Boston area, with a membership of over 400 active curlers, four sheets, and curling leagues every day of the week during the winter curling season. Broomstones is affiliated with the Grand National Curling Club. A unique feature of the club is its origin by and separate maintenance of three separate curling clubs in the area that combined to share resources, but maintain individual identity for national competition purposes.
