Raynham Center, Massachusetts

Alexandra Nicole Zapp (August 24, 1971 – July 18, 2002) was an American woman who was murdered in the women's room of a Burger King rest stop in Bridgewater, Massachusetts on July 18, 2002. Section 121 of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act (P.L. 109-248) is named the "Megan Nicole Kanka and Alexandra Nicole Zapp Community Notification Program" after her and another victim. Massachusetts' Sexually Dangerous Persons Law is informally called the "Ally Zapp" Law.

The Taunton Iron Works (also known as Leonard Iron Works) was located on the banks of the Forge River in what is now Raynham, Massachusetts. It was the first iron works established in Plymouth Colony, and only the third in New England. Much more successful than earlier works at Saugus, and Braintree, it operated for a remarkable period of two hundred and twenty years, from 1656 (1656) to 1876 (1876).

The Forge River is a 5.1-mile-long (8.2 km) river in the town of Raynham in southeastern Massachusetts. It is a tributary of the Taunton River. It rises from Gushee Pond near Interstate 495 and flows northwest through Titicut Swamp, then turns southwest for the rest of its course. It flows through Hewitt Pond, passes the neighborhood of Tracy Corner, then continues through Johnson Pond and the village of Raynham Center to its junction with the Taunton River.

Raynham () is a town in Bristol County, Massachusetts, United States, located approximately 32 miles (51 km) south of Boston and 22 miles (35 km) northeast of Providence, Rhode Island. The population was 15,082 at the 2020 census. It has one village, Raynham Center.

The Jonathan Dean House was a historic colonial American house located at 175 Dean Street in Taunton, Massachusetts, near the Raynham town line. It was a 1+1⁄2-story Cape style house, five bays wide, whose entry was flanked by fluted pilasters, and cornice had a festooned frieze. It was built in 1766 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. At the time, it was considered to be the most highly detailed 18th century house in the city. However, the house was demolished in the mid-1990s for a pharmacy (now Rite Aid).

The Lloyd Dean House is a historic house located at 164 Dean Street in Taunton, Massachusetts.

The Harris Street Bridge is a historic truss bridge that spans the Taunton River off Dean Street in Taunton, Massachusetts. Built in 1887, it is the oldest surviving bridge in the city, and was built as part of one of the city's earliest public works projects after incorporation as a city. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is closed to traffic, and is in disrepair.

Wat Nawamintararachutis (Thai: วัดนวมินทรราชูทิศ) is a working Thai Theravada Buddhist temple or "wat" in Raynham, Massachusetts, which is about 45 minutes south of Boston, Massachusetts, USA. It is one of only a handful of Thai Buddhist temples in the United States with actual Thai Buddhist monks in residence. Constructed on 35 acres (140,000 m2) previously occupied by a farm, it opened its doors to the public in June 2014. It is one of two Thai temples in Massachusetts; the other one is Wat Boston Buddha Vararam.

Lake Nippenicket, known locally as The Nip, is a freshwater pond in the town of Bridgewater, Massachusetts, and immediately adjacent to Raynham, Massachusetts. The lake borders a tiny portion of Route 104, and is near the junction of I-495 and Route 24. Lake Nippenicket is part of the Taunton River Watershed, emptying into the Town River and into the Taunton River, and a good-size portion of it is included with the Hockomock Swamp Wildlife Management Area. The lake is named after a Native American tribe from that area.

Taunton High School (often abbreviated THS) is located within a large, three-floor, interconnected, multi-block complex in the eastern section of Taunton, Massachusetts, United States. It is an urban public high school with an estimated average student enrollment of 3,000 students. It offers many student-oriented services, specialty academic programs, extra-curricular clubs, various after-school programs and a wide array of scholastic sports. Taunton High School is one of the largest high schools in New England, and is the 4th largest in Massachusetts, behind Brockton, Lowell, and New Bedford. The main section of the building is divided into four different "houses" in which different classes are held, along with an associate headmaster's office in each, and the main headmaster's office in the middle. One of the houses in the main building complex once contained a public middle school, John F. Parker Middle School, until 2009 where, during a total renovation of the entire school, a fifth, exterior wing was added to the front of the school to house the displaced middle school students. Adjacent to school is the fine arts house, Robert H. Park Auditorium, which currently holds seating capacities up to 1,500 people, and beneath that the music rooms, dressing rooms, and storage. The school also shares a two-leveled gymnasium with Parker Middle School, where most of the indoor sports teams perform and a "pep rally" is held in the fall. The school's field house is one of the largest gymnasiums in New England, capable of holding both indoor track meets and basketball tournaments.

The Bridgewater Triangle is an area of about 200 square miles (520 km2) within southeastern Massachusetts in the United States, claimed to be a site of alleged paranormal phenomena, ranging from UFOs to poltergeists, and other spectral phenomena, various bigfoot-like sightings, giant snakes and thunderbirds. The term was coined by New England based cryptozoologist Loren Coleman.
