Riverview School is a private boarding/day school for students, ages 11–22, with complex language, learning and cognitive challenges located on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Students hail from every region of the United States and from many foreign countries. Riverview is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC) and approved by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).

The Benjamin Nye Homestead is a historic house museum in Sandwich, Massachusetts. The earliest portion of the 2.5-story timber-frame house was built c. 1680 by Benjamin Nye, and has remained in the hands of his descendants for most of the time since then. It was apparently originally built as a saltbox style house with an integral leanto section, with the rear of the house being raise to a full two stories, probably in the 19th century. The house was sold out of the Nye family to the state of Massachusetts in 1924, but was poorly maintained by the state. With the house threatened with demolition in 1962, the Nye Family Association acquired the property and restored the house. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.The Nye Family Association now operates the property as a historic house museum, featuring 18th century furnishings, and is open for tours from June through October.

East Sandwich station is a former train station located in East Sandwich, Massachusetts. The station was built by the Cape Cod Branch Railroad when the line was extended beyond Sandwich. A new station building was constructed in 1893. The station building still exists as a private residence at 404 Old Kings Highway (Massachusetts 6A), although it is much changed from its original appearance. It was moved back from the tracks, rotated almost 90 degrees, and had several additions made.

The Barzillai Weeks House is a historic house located at 313 High Street in the West Barnstable section of Barnstable, Massachusetts.

Sandwich Middle High School is a public high school located in East Sandwich, Massachusetts, United States. The school serves the students of Sandwich, Massachusetts. Enrollment at the school is about 900 students in grades 7–12, and employs 85 faculty members. Sandwich's school mascot is the Blue Knight and the school colors are Navy, Sky Blue & White. The school was formerly known as Sandwich High School (grades 9-12) with the attached S.T.E.M Academy (grades 7-8). Rebranding to Sandwich Middle High School took place in fall of 2022 due to a lack of S.T.E.M based courses being offered to 7th and 8th grade students.

The Matthias Smith House is a historic house at 375 Cedar Street in Barnstable, Massachusetts. The 1+1⁄2-story Cape style wood-frame house was built c. 1760 by Matthias Smith, and was the center of a working farm for two centuries. It is five bays wide, with a central entry and central chimney, with two single-story ells added to its left. The entry is topped by a small transom window with two bullseye lights. The house is a well-preserved example of a mid-18th century farmhouse; the property includes a number of agricultural outbuildings, including a barn, toolshed, and chicken houses.The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Wing Fort House is a historic house at Spring Hill Road in East Sandwich, Massachusetts, located within the Spring Hill Historic District. The house was built in 1641 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. The Wing Fort House is recognized as the oldest home in New England continuously owned by the same family. Stephen Wing either purchased the homestead from the town of Sandwich, or the town granted him the property, around the time of his first marriage in 1646. His descendants continued to live in the home until 1942, when the last resident (Miss Cora M. Wing) sold the home to the Wing Family of America, Inc. Tradition states the home was at one time a fort to protect the earliest settlers from the Native Americans. The exterior of the "Old Fort" Room (which is the oldest part of the current structure) is composed of a double wall, which may have been filled in at one time. As the Cape Indians were found to be friendly, the town did not need any fort for protection. In 2007, dendrochronological dating of the building was attempted, but was unsuccessful due to "many of the samples having too many narrow rings, some having too few rings, and to the lack of reference chronologies from the south-eastern part of Massachusetts."The Fort House is now a museum, privately operated by the Wing Family of America, Inc. It is located at 69 Spring Hill Road (off of Route 6a), East Sandwich, Massachusetts. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from June 15 to September 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and by appointment during the remainder of the year. There is a small admission fee.

The Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cape Cod (SRHCC) is a rehabilitation hospital located in Sandwich, Massachusetts that serves both Cape Cod and the Islands. It was founded in 1995 and is part of the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network.It was previously known as the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape and Islands (RHCI), and still operates under that name. The hospital is owned by Partners HealthCare, a non-profit organization that owns several hospitals in Massachusetts.

The Adams-Crocker-Fish House is an historic house in Barnstable, Massachusetts. Built about 1830, this half-Cape is a rare surviving example of a small farmstead with period outbuildings. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Spectacle Pond is a 91-acre (370,000 m2) kettle pond in Sandwich, Massachusetts. It has a small, forested island called Pinkham Island accessible by wading from its west shoreline. The pond has been stocked for years by MassWildlife. As of 2018 it is being stocked spring and fall with trout. Access is provided by a town landing which consists of a rutted unimproved gravel ramp on the southwestern end of the pond, suitable for launching small boats and canoes. To reach the site take Quaker Meetinghouse Road to a right onto Pinkham Road. The access is at the end of a dirt road on the left (the first left after the entrance to Camp Hayward). Spectacle Pond was sampled most recently on September 12, 1994, and seven species were collected: yellow perch, smallmouth bass, banded killifish, pumpkinseed sunfish, largemouth bass, brook trout and brown bullhead. In addition to brook trout, it is also stocked with rainbow trout and brown trout.
