Wood Green (Old Bescot) railway station

Bescot Hall is a former manor house in the area of Walsall in England that is known as Bescot. Only partial earthworks remain, including the moat, which is a shallow depression for most of its circuit.

Stuart Bathurst Catholic High School is a co-educational Roman Catholic secondary school and sixth form, located in Wednesbury in the West Midlands of England. The school opened in the 1960s and is named after 19th century Catholic cleric Stuart Bathurst, and is under the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham. The school is a specialist Arts College.Stuart Bathurst Catholic High School offers GCSEs, BTECs and Cambridge Nationals as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A Levels and further BTECs.

St Paul's Church is an Anglican church in the Wood Green district of Wednesbury, West Midlands, England. The parish of Wood Green is part of the Wednesbury Deanery in the Diocese of Lichfield. The building is Grade II listed.

Pleck railway station was a station built on the London and North Western Railway in 1881, on the connecting line between the Grand Junction Railway and the South Staffordshire Line. It served the Pleck area of Walsall, and was located just off Bescot Road, between the Slaney Road and Slaters Lane junctions. The station closed in 1917, only to reopen in 1924. It was closed permanently in 1958. The lines through the station are in use today as part of the Walsall-Wolverhampton Line for freight only.

The Oval was a cricket and football ground in Wednesbury, England. It was the home ground of Wednesbury Old Athletic, and also hosted two Walsall matches at the start of the 1893–94 season.

Fellows Park was a football stadium in Walsall, England. It was the home ground of Walsall F.C. from 1896 until 1990, when the team moved to the Bescot Stadium. Fellows Park was situated about a quarter of a mile away from the club's present ground, The Bescot Stadium, at the junction of Hilary Street and Wallows Lane. The club moved to the ground from West Bromwich Road in 1896. Until 1930 it was named Hilary Street, at which point it was renamed after H.L. Fellows, a club director. Walsall's record home attendance was at Fellows Park, when 25,453 spectators were present for the team's Second Division match against Newcastle United on 29 August 1961.By March 1988, the club was planning to build a new stadium at nearby Bescot Crescent. Within two years, construction work was underway at the new stadium site and the last league game at Fellows Park was played on 1 May 1990, when Walsall, in the process of their second successive relegation which took them into the Football League Fourth Division, drew 1–1 at home to Rotherham United, with Andy Dornan scoring the last league goal at the ground – his only goal in his time at Walsall.The final game played at the ground was on 11 May 1990, when retiring defender Peter Hart's testimonial was held there with local rivals West Bromwich Albion providing the opposition. This game also ended in a 1–1 draw, with Gary Shaw scoring an equaliser for Walsall in the 37th minute, thus going down in history as the last player to score at the stadium, in its 94-year history. The new Bescot Stadium was ready for the 1990–91 season. A reminder of Fellows Park remains in the new stadium, in the name of the H.L. Fellows Stand. The old stadium was demolished in early 1991 and a Morrisons supermarket built on the site.In December 1990, several weeks before the stadium's demolition, heavy snow caused the roof of the "cowshed" section of the stadium to collapse.

Pleck, in the borough of Walsall, neighbours Palfrey and stretches from the bridge on Wednesbury Road to Junction 9 of the M6 motorway. It consists of a large green space called Pleck Park and housing estates. Pleck is close to Walsall Manor Hospital and Bescot Stadium, home of Walsall F.C. The population of this Walsall ward taken at the 2011 Census was 15,014.The neighbourhood has a primary school. Most of the houses on the estate were built by the local authority during the 1950s. The Walsall-Wolverhampton Line runs alongside Pleck Park, and once included Pleck railway station.

Brunswick Park is a public park in Wednesbury, in West Midlands, England, about 1 kilometre (0.6 mi) east of the town centre. It is owned and operated by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council. It was opened in 1887, and is listed Grade II in Historic England's Register of Parks and Gardens.

Palfrey is a neighbourhood in the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall, in the West Midlands. It covers 3.68 sq km, which accounts for 3.5% of the area of the Walsall borough.

The James Bridge Copper Works was a copper refining plant in Walsall, Staffordshire, England. It was established as a smelting plant in 1917 on a site formerly used for ironstone and coal mining and as a brickworks. From 1920 it was owned by the Wolverhampton Metal Company who expanded the works. It was temporarily closed in 1931–2 because of local pollution issues and during the Second World War due to blackout regulations. After the war the plant specialised in reclamation of copper from waste materials and became a leader in that field, helping to alleviate a national shortage of copper; by 1964 the plant had electrowinning facilities. The works were purchased by Imperial Metal Industries Limited in 1967 and the electrowinning facilities were greatly expanded over the following decades. The site closed in 1999. The site had been heavily contaminated by its industrial use and came into the ownership of Walsall Council, who proposed remediation works by 2011, and Homes England. The site, known as Phoenix 10, was proposed for redevelopment into commercial units and permission for this was granted in April 2021. Henry Boot plc commenced remediation works in May 2021.

Bescot TMD is a locomotive traction maintenance depot in Bescot, a suburb of Walsall in the West Midlands, England. Situated adjacent to Bescot Stadium railway station, the depot with code BS is currently operated by DB Schenker Rail (UK). Bescot Yard is to the south-east of the depot. This entire complex of track is clearly visible from the northern end of the M6 and M5 motorway junction. The Depot is Located on the Chase Line.
