Snelshall Priory

Oxley Mead is a 3.7 hectares (9.1 acres) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in the Oxley Park district of Shenley Church End in Milton Keynes, (ceremonial) Buckinghamshire.The site is an ancient hay meadow which has a nationally rare plant community, due to its traditional management, with a hay cut followed by cattle grazing, and no use of fertilisers or herbicides. A stream, which runs through the middle of the field, regularly floods. The main plants are herbs such as great burnet and meadow sweet, and grasses include meadow foxtail and sweet vernal-grass. The meadow is surrounded by hedgerows which have a wide variety of trees and shrubs.There is access from the end of Raft Way.

Oxley Woods is a housing development in Oxley Park, a district of Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England. The development was designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and built by Newton Woods, who were subcontracted by Taylor Wimpey after winning the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister's Design for Manufacture Competition, which was run by English Partnerships in 2005.

Whaddon Hall is a country house in Whaddon, Buckinghamshire. It is a Grade II listed building.

Whaddon is a village and also a civil parish in Buckinghamshire, England, within the Buckinghamshire Council unitary authority area. It is situated just outside of Bletchley, a constituent town of Milton Keynes. The village name is Anglo Saxon in origin, and means 'hill where wheat is grown'. The village is referred to several times in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle generally in the form of Hwætædun. The village is at the centre of the ancient Whaddon Chase, the site for many centuries of royal hunting lands. Whaddon Chase is designated an area of 'Special Landscape Interest'. The Church of St Mary is a grade I listed building.Whaddon Church of England School is a mixed Church of England primary school. It is a voluntary controlled school, which takes children from the age of four through to the age of eleven. The school has approximately 50 pupils. Richard Cox (ca.1500 – 1581), an English clergyman, who was Dean of Westminster and Bishop of Ely, was born at Whaddon.Whaddon Hall, the village manor, was once home to the Selby family (also known as Selby-Lowndes), whose ancestor William Lowndes (1652–1724) built the larger and grander Winslow Hall. Both mansions are still private houses. During the Second World War Whaddon Hall served as headquarters of Section VIII (Communications) of MI6, as an outpost of Bletchley Park.

Westcroft is a district in the western part of Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England, in the civil parish of Shenley Brook End. Westcroft District Centre is a large retail development that serves this side of Milton Keynes (Tattenhoe, Emerson Valley, Furzton, Kingsmead, Shenley Brook End, Shenley Lodge, Oakhill, Shenley Wood, Shenley Church End and western West Bletchley). The District Centre includes a branch of Morrisons and other UK high street names, such as Boots, Costa Coffee, Greggs, Tim Hortons, KFC, McDonalds, B&M, Aldi along with a dental surgery, car wash, pet store and Renault dealership. The centre also has a small local library, community shop and a meeting place. A health centre is located adjacent to the district centre. According to Milton Keynes City Council, Westcroft, Wolverton, Bletchley and Kingston form the second tier in the retail hierarchy of the city, below Central Milton Keynes.Westcroft is in the catchment area for Oxley Park Combined School and Shenley Brook End Secondary School. The rest of Westcroft consists of mainly housing, located around a large, formally planted park and a large sports field. At the southern end of the park there is a car park and the sports pavilion.

Shenley is an area of Buckinghamshire consisting of the villages and areas Shenley Brook End, Shenley Church End, Shenley Dens, Shenley Grounds, Shenley Lodge and Shenley Wood. It is one of the parts of the region that went to make up the new city of Milton Keynes in the 1960s. Shenley is located to the west of the city centre, on the Roman road Watling Street between Stony Stratford and Fenny Stratford. The name Shenley is an Old English language word meaning "bright clearing". In the Domesday Book of 1086 the area was collectively known as Senelai. The distinction between the Brook End and the Church End happened in the 12th century when a new manor house was constructed in Shenley Brook End by the Mansell family. However, by 1426 the two manors were owned by the same person and the distinction between the two places was in name only.

Tattenhoe and Tattenhoe Park are adjacent neighbourhoods of Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England, in the ancient ecclesiastic parish of Tattenhoe. They are located at the south-western edge of the city, next to Whaddon in Aylesbury Vale, not far from the ruins of Snelshall Priory.

Shenley Brook End School is a modern secondary academy school on the western flank of Milton Keynes (Buckinghamshire) in the civil parish of Shenley Brook End. The school opened in September 1997 with a small student body and currently has over 1700 pupils. In 2014, the school planned to make a major extension costing £7 million to accommodate 300 extra 2015 entries. The extension started in late April 2015 and finished in the Easter holidays of April 2016. The project was managed by Morgan Sindall, and included the extension of the old main theatre, Sports Hall, and the library. The extension of the school also includes a new building called Phase 4, which includes additional Science laboratories and English classrooms.

Shenley Brook End is a village, district and wider civil parish in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England, located about 2 miles (3.2 km) north-west of Bletchley, and 2.5 miles (4.0 km) south-west of Central Milton Keynes. Together with its neighbouring districts of Shenley Church End, Shenley Wood and Shenley Lodge, the districts are collectively known as "The Shenleys". Today, the historic village is the core of the new district that bears its name. The district is bounded by V2 Tattenhoe Street, V3 Fulmer Street, H6 Childs Way and H7 Chaffron Way. The mathematician and logician Alan Turing was billeted here during his time at Bletchley Park.

Howe Park Wood is a 21.4-hectare (53-acre) Site of Special Scientific Interest in Tattenhoe, a district of Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire. It is owned by Milton Keynes City Council and managed by Milton Keynes Parks Trust.The site is semi-natural woodland which is recorded in the thirteenth century, and possibly the eleventh century. Ancient large oak trees may reflect a medieval past as a deer park. It is poorly drained on clay, causing seasonal waterlogging, with some areas which are drier. Loughton Brook runs along the boundary. There is a wide variety of trees and shrubs, and almost three hundred species of moths have been recorded. Butterflies include the nationally rare black hairstreak.The park is between Chaffron Way and Tattenhoe Street.
