The Maine School Administrative District 51 (RSU51/MSAD51) operates three public schools for students in Cumberland, Maine, and North Yarmouth, Maine. The district has 163 teachers (FTEs) serving 2,320 students. Note: North Yarmouth Memorial School closed in 2014. Chebeauge is no longer attached to MSAD 51. Drowne Road School was closed by the residents of Cumberland and North Yarmouth in 2011 due to budget cuts. North Yarmouth Memorial School was closed in 2014, and Greely Middle School was expanded to fit the students formerly in the North Yarmouth Memorial School. Greely Middle School was opened in 2005 to replace the Greely Junior High School.

Pineland Farms is a 5,000-acre farm and recreational property in the eastern part of New Gloucester, Maine. It is partly on the site of the former Pineland Hospital and Training Center.

Greely High School is a public high school for grades 9 to 12 located in Cumberland, Maine, United States. The enrollment is approximately 715 students. It also has a professional teaching staff of 64 and 50% of the teachers have advanced degrees. Greely High School is a part of Maine School Administrative District 51, which serves the towns of Cumberland and North Yarmouth. Renovated and added onto over the years, the building originally opened in 1868. The school completed a 10-million-dollar addition/renovation in 2009. Another addition completed in 2018 added a new auditorium to the school. It adopted the International Baccalaureate (IB) program in 2009.

Cumberland Center is a census-designated place (CDP) within the town of Cumberland in Cumberland County, Maine, United States. The population was 2,499 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Portland – South Portland – Biddeford, Maine, Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The Captain Reuben Merrill House is an historic house at 233 West Main Street in Yarmouth, Maine. Built in 1858, it is one of the town's largest and most elaborate 19th-century houses, and is one of three known surviving works of Portland architect Thomas J. Sparrow. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. It is now home to Maine Preservation, a statewide architectural preservation organization.

Yarmouth Junction station was a passenger rail station in Yarmouth, Maine, United States. It stood to the west of East Elm Street at Depot Road, at the junction of the former Grand Trunk Railway (now the St. Lawrence and Atlantic Railroad) and the Maine Central Railroad (now Guilford Rail System's Kennebec & Portland), around 0.9 miles (1.4 km) north of the town's Railroad Square, where today's 1906-built Grand Trunk station stands. The Amtrak Downeaster utilizes the former Maine Central Railroad line, which passes to the northwest of town. The Yarmouth Junction station building is now gone, but the junction itself is still active. There have been discussions about developing the line between Yarmouth Junction and Brunswick, Maine.

The Universalist Meeting House is a historic church on Maine State Route 231 in the Intervale area of New Gloucester, Maine. Built in 1839, it is a fine example of a Greek Revival church in a rural context. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Mallett Hall is the town hall of Pownal, Maine. It is an architecturally distinctive Colonial Revival building, constructed in 1886 in the crossroads village of Pownal Center. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991 for its architecture.

The Cumberland Fair is an annual farmers' fair held in Cumberland, Maine, United States, at the Cumberland Fairgrounds. It is put on by the Cumberland Farmers' Club and is usually held the last week in September.

Old Baptist Cemetery is a historic cemetery in Yarmouth, Maine, United States. Dating to the late 17th century, it stands on Hillside Street (formerly named Brimstone Hill or Byram's Hill), adjoining the North Yarmouth and Freeport Baptist Meetinghouse, a National Register of Historic Places property, on its southern side. It is the only burial site in the town attached to an extant church building. The meetinghouse was completed in 1796, but there are burials in the cemetery dating to the late 17th century and early 18th century. The earliest discovered burial is that of Jacob Mitchell Sr. (1643–1675).In 2011, the previously unmarked 1870 grave site of Private William Johnson was formally dedicated at the cemetery. Johnson, of Saco, Maine, served in the 1st Regiment Maine Cavalry. The location of his grave remained unknown until a descendant of his, 91-year-old Dick Johnson, of McMinnville, Oregon, discovered via research that his great-grandfather was a Civil War veteran.In October 2021, the gravestone of Mary Pratt (wife of David), who died in 1810, was found in the middle of Methodist Road in Westbrook, Maine, and was turned over to the local police department. It had been removed from Old Baptist Cemetery.
