The DePaul University College of Law is the professional graduate law school of DePaul University in Chicago. The College of Law’s facilities encompass nine floors across two buildings, with features such as the Vincent G. Rinn Law Library and Leonard M. Ring Courtroom. The law school is located within two blocks of state and federal courts, as well as numerous law firms, corporations and government agencies. The 2021 edition of U.S. News & World Report ranked DePaul Law 118 among U.S. law schools and placed its health law and intellectual property programs among the top 25% of all U.S. law schools.

The McClurg Building is a historic skyscraper in the Loop community area of Chicago, Illinois. The building was built in 1899 and designed by Chicago school architects Holabird & Roche. At nine stories tall and 80 feet (24 m) by 150 feet (46 m) at its base, the building is one of the smallest skyscrapers in Chicago. The building's Wabash Street facade has 9,000 square feet (840 m2) of windows bordered by terra cotta piers and spandrels; the amount of window space was necessitated by the absence of windows on the sides of the building. The A.C. McClurg publishing company was the building's main occupant and gave the building its name.The McClurg Building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 17, 1970.

The A. M. Rothschild & Company Store, also known as the Goldblatt's Building, is a historic department store building located at 333 South State Street in the Loop neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The store was built in 1912 for the Rothschild & Company department store, which was founded in the late 1800s by Abram M. Rothschild. Prominent Chicago School architects Holabird & Roche designed the store; while the firm had also designed the company's previous, smaller store, the 1912 building was their first and only full-block department store design. The building's skeletal frame and large windows are typical of Chicago School buildings, while its extensive terra cotta ornamentation reflects the then-popular Beaux-Arts style. Rothschild & Company occupied the building until 1923, when Marshall Field & Company purchased it; it was sold again in 1936 to Goldblatt's, who ran their flagship store in the building until 1981. The building is now owned by DePaul University and is primarily used for classrooms, though the building also contains the university's downtown library, cafeteria, and student union. A Barnes & Noble store utilizes most of the first level retail space. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 27, 1989.

The Charles H. Kellstadt Graduate School of Business is part of the DePaul University Driehaus College of Business, a business school located in the Chicago Loop, Illinois, United States. The Driehaus College of Business (called the College of Commerce until 2012) was founded in 1912 and is one of the ten oldest business schools in the U.S. The school is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business-International. In the fall of 2012, Kellstadt enrolled 2,107 students.

Jackson (also Jackson/State) is an "L" station on the CTA's Red Line in the Loop. Free transfers to Blue Line trains are available at this station via a lower level transfer tunnel to the Jackson/Dearborn subway station and farecard transfers to Purple, Orange, Brown and Pink Line trains are available via the Harold Washington Library – State/Van Buren Loop Elevated station. Like the Washington station, the northern extension of which was reconfigured as the Lake station, Jackson was originally double-length, with a third station mezzanine at Van Buren Street and Congress Parkway. The Van Buren-Congress mezzanine was closed on January 6, 1984, following the closure of the South Loop's main anchor, Sears, which had a direct entrance from the mezzanine. At the same time, the south end of the Jackson platform beyond the Jackson-Van Buren mezzanine was closed off with a plywood wall and both the platform area and mezzanine now remain, but abandoned. The street level entrances to the Van Buren-Congress mezzanine were removed when State Street was remodeled in 1997, replaced with access through grates, which can be seen on the sidewalks between Van Buren Street and Ida B. Wells Drive.

333 South Wabash (formerly CNA Center, nicknamed "Big Red") is a 600-ft (183 m), 44-story skyscraper located at 333 South Wabash Avenue in the central business district of Chicago, Illinois.

Friar's Inn (also called New Friar's Inn) was a nightclub and speakeasy in Chicago, Illinois, a famed jazz music venue in the 1920s. Though some sources refer to it casually as "Friar's Club", it was not related to the New York Friars Club. Located in a basement at 60 East Van Buren or 343 South Wabash in the Chicago Loop, the establishment was owned by Mike Fritzel and attracted gangsters as well as fans of jazz music. Among the notable bands associated with Friar's Inn were the New Orleans Rhythm Kings (originally the Friar's Society Orchestra) and the Austin High Gang (also known as the Blue Friars). Noted musicians who played at Friar's Inn included Frank Teschemacher, Bud Freeman, Steve Brown, George Brunies, Merritt Brunies, Emmett Hardy, Paul Mares, Leon Roppolo, Bee Palmer, Louis 'Lou' Black, and Mel Stitzel. Joan Crawford worked as a dancer at the Friar's Inn early in her career.

Adams/Wabash is an 'L' station serving the CTA's Brown, Green, Orange, Pink, and Purple Lines. Until 1963, it also served interurban trains of the Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee Railroad. It is the closest CTA station to Symphony Center, home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the Art Institute of Chicago.

The Benson & Rixon Building is a Streamline Moderne building in Chicago's Loop. It was designed by Alfred S. Alschuler, and was built in 1937.

The Chapin and Gore Building is a historic building located at 63 East Adams Street in downtown Chicago, Illinois. The distilling company of Chapin and Gore had the building constructed in 1904 for their business; the original building consisted a first-floor bar and store and offices and warehouse space in the remainder of the building. Architectural partners Richard E. Schmidt and Hugh M. G. Garden designed the building, which has a functional plan but includes substantial ornamentation such as terra cotta and brickwork. The building's ornamental capitals and cornice were removed in the 1950s. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 27, 1979, and later designated as a Chicago Landmark on January 21, 1982. The Chapin and Gore Building is currently the home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra administration. It is part of the Symphony Center campus, attached in 1997 to Orchestra Hall. The Opus restaurant and café is on the ground floor, serving orchestra patrons and the public.

Grace Episcopal Church (founded in 1851) is the second oldest Episcopal congregation in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Since December 1985 it has occupied its 6th location, in a former printing works located at 637 South Dearborn Street in the Printer's Row neighborhood. Now also called Grace Place, the historic 3-story redbrick late 19th century Arts and Crafts building is a contributing property in the South Dearborn Street-Printing House Row North Historic District. Grace Place is also listed in the City of Chicago's Chicago Landmarks Historic Resources Survey.

The Printing House Row District is a National Historic Landmark District encompassing four architecturally important buildings on the 300 through 500 blocks of South Dearborn, South Federal and South Plymouth streets in the Loop community area of Chicago, Illinois. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as South Dearborn Street – Printing House Row Historic District and listed as a National Historic Landmark as South Dearborn Street – Printing House Row North Historic District on January 7, 1976. The district was designated a Chicago Landmark on May 9, 1996. The district includes the Monadnock Building, the Manhattan Building, the Fisher Building, and the Old Colony Building. The district overlaps significantly with the Printers Row neighborhood, and is not the same as South Loop Printing House District.
