The swearing-in ceremony of Imran Khan, the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan, was held at the President House in Islamabad on 18 August 2018. Following the conclusion of the ceremony, Khan proceeded to the Prime Minister's Office, where he was presented a guard of honour by contingents of all three armed forces of Pakistan.

The Ministry of Justice (Urdu: وزارتِ قانون و انصاف); abbreviated as MoJ) is a cabinet-level ministry of Pakistan, responsible for the enforcement of law and administration of justice. The ministry's political executive figure is known as the Minister for Law, Justice and Human Rights, who must be an elected legislator and Parliamentarian. The Minister for Justice is associated with enforcing laws and administration of government judicial departments, and is a public face of the government in legal services required by the state. The ministry's administration is headed by the Law Secretary of Pakistan. The ministry is also represented by the Attorney General as the chief law enforcement officer of the federal government, representing it in civilian Supreme Court cases, and assisting the Minister for Justice and the government in legal cases. Both the Minister for Justice and Attorney General are nominated by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and are members of the Cabinet. It is currently headed by Ahmed Irfan Aslam as of 17 August 2023.

The Parliament House (Urdu: پارلیمنٹ ہاؤس) in the Red Zone, Islamabad is the seat of the Parliament of Pakistan. It houses the National Assembly and the Senate which are lower and upper houses respectively in Pakistan's bicameral parliament.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan (Urdu: عدالتِ عظمیٰ پاکستان; Adālat-e-Uzma Pākistān) is the apex court in the judicial hierarchy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.Established in accordance with Part VII of the Constitution of Pakistan, it has ultimate and extensive appellate, original, and advisory jurisdictions on all courts (including the high courts, district, special and Shariat court), involving issues of laws and may act on the verdicts rendered on the cases in context in which it enjoys jurisdiction. In the court system of Pakistan, the Supreme Court is the final arbiter of legal and constitutional disputes as well as final interpreter of constitutional law, and the highest court of appeal in Pakistan. In its modern composition, the Supreme Court is incorporated of Chief Justice of Pakistan, sixteen justices and two ad hoc who are confirmed to their appointment by the President upon their nominations from the Prime Minister's selection based on their merited qualifications. Once appointed, justices are expected to completed a designated term and then retire at 65 years old, unless their term is terminated through resignation or impeachment by the Supreme Judicial Council resulted in a presidential reference in regards to the misconduct of judge(s). In their discourse judgement, the justices are often categorized as having the conservative, textual, moderate, and liberal philosophies of law in their judicial interpretation of law and judgements.: 1915 : 436 The Supreme Court has a permanent seat in Islamabad and meets at the Supreme Court Building at the Red Zone.

D-Chowk, also referred to as Democracy Chowk, is a large town square located on the junction of Jinnah Avenue and Constitution Avenue in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is located in the government district, close to several important government buildings: the Presidency, the Prime Minister’s Office, the Parliament, and the Supreme Court.The square used to be a popular recreational area for the local people. After the shift of venue from Rawalpindi's Race Course, the Pakistan Day Parade used to be here for several years. It has now been moved to the Shakarparian Parade Ground.The square is a frequent venue for political rallies and other public gatherings, and has been likened to Egypt's Tahrir Square. Since the square is a junction on two major roads, such meetings have repeatedly paralyzed traffic in Islamabad. In April 2016, the government decreed that the square should be rebuilt to make it a no-go area for protesters. However, political rallies continue to be held there.

The Ministry of Communications (Urdu: وزارت مواصلات; reporting name: MoCom), is a Cabinet-level ministry of the Pakistani Government responsible for analysing, formulating and implementing central policy on communications and transportation. It is one of the oldest ministries, created on 14 August 1947. The Ministry of Communications has jurisdiction over telegraph and telephone communications as well as public radio, technical means of radio and television broadcasting and the distribution of periodicals. The Ministry and its political executive, the Communications Minister, are headquartered in the Cabinet Secretariat, Islamabad Capital Venue. The Communications Minister is a public appointee who must be a member of Parliament.

The National Library of Pakistan (Urdu:قومى کتب خانہ پاکستان) is located in the vicinity of the Red Zone, Islamabad, Pakistan. Argued to be the country's oldest cultural institution, the library is a leading resource for information— ancient and new. The National Library collection includes approximately 66% of all serial and 50-55% of all books publications in the country. Designed with Eastern architecture, the library includes space for 500 readers, has 15 research rooms, a 450-seat auditorium, and provides computer and microfilm services. At its opening in 1993, the library owned a collection of 130,000 volumes and 600 manuscripts. The National Library's mission is to promote literacy and serve as a dynamic cultural and educational center for the state's capital Islamabad.

Prime Minister House is the official residence of Prime Minister of Pakistan. Previously, it was purposed as a think tank in 2018 which will provide policy advice to the government of Pakistan. It is located in Islamabad, Pakistan. The think tank shall provide research on governance, development, technology, and climate change. It will give policy advice to the federal cabinet and research advice for the Higher Education Commission.Previously, it was the Secretariat of the Prime Minister of Pakistan from its establishment in 1968 until 2018.In December 2018, it was proposed to convert the residence of the Prime Minister of Pakistan into a research university. In first phase, the Institute of Advanced Studies for the research would be established. In any case, it would not provide degree programs to students but may offer doctorates to promote research in the future.The space consists of 800 Kanals and additional 300 Kanals for Prime Minister's Office and had over 500 servants. It was established during the reign of General Ayub Khan.

Diplomatic Enclave (Urdu: سفارتی محصور علاقہ) is a secure zone in Islamabad, Pakistan which contains diplomatic missions. The enclave is located in Sector G-5 and houses 43 embassies and high commissions. The secure zone is not accessible to the general public without a pass.

Pakistan Secretariat (Urdu: ‎دفترِمتعمد پاکستان) serves as the headquarters for the Cabinet and Government of Pakistan. It is located on Red Zone in Islamabad, Capital Territory, Pakistan.

The Library of the Supreme Court of Pakistan is an official and principal research as well as reference library of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. It is located in the judicial complex of the Supreme Court, and is listed as a repute of national legal Library.Since its establishment, it has become one of the noted and reliable law libraries in the country, with resources that span the ages and cover virtually every jurisdiction and history of law. Currently the Library has a collection of ~80,000 volumes on a variety of topics including general books, legal textbooks, law reports and research journals. Almost all the local law reports are available from the date of their publication.The All India Reports (AIR) as well as All England Law Reports and Halsbury's Laws of England are also some of the important documents available in the Library. The Library also contains reference books such as the encyclopaedias, maps, and dictionaries.

The Supreme Court Building is the official and principal site for the Supreme Court of Pakistan, located on the Constitution Avenue in Islamabad, Pakistan. Completed in 1993, it is flanked by the Prime Minister's Office to the south and the Presidential House and the Parliament House to the north. Designed by famous Japanese architect, Kenzō Tange, under the consultation of the EPA, the complex was engineered and built by the CDA Engineering and Siemens Engineering. The building was part of an effort by the government of Pakistan to incorporate modernism into the architecture of important government buildings, for which several world-renowned architects were invited; Tange, after initially rejecting the invitation, ultimately agreed to participate.
