Langweer

Dijken (West Frisian: Diken) is a small village in De Fryske Marren in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 65 in 2017.

De Sweachmermolen is a smock mill between Langweer and Boornzwaag, Friesland, Netherlands which was built in 1782. The mill has two functions: it is a drainage mill and a corn mill. It has been restored to working order as a drainage mill and is listed as a Rijksmonument, number 13241.

Boornzwaag (West Frisian: Boarnsweach) is a small village in De Fryske Marren in the province Friesland of the Netherlands and has around 105 citizens (2017). It is located east of Langweer on the south east shore of the lake called Langweerder Wielen. The name is derived from two words, boarn meaning water and sweach meaning pasture. A canal called Scharsterrijn lies to the north east of the village. A small ferry takes pedestrians and cyclists across the Scharsterrijn. There is a marina. To the south is a canal estate called De Woudfennen bungalowpark. At the furthest south end is the Scharsterrijn caravanpark, which is mostly full of cabins.

Teroele is a village in De Fryske Marren in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 20 in 2017.

Idskenhuizen (West Frisian: Jiskenhuzen) is a village in De Fryske Marren municipality in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 480 in 2017.

Uitwellingerga (West Frisian: Twellingea) is a village in Súdwest-Fryslân municipality in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 355 in January 2017.Along with Oppenhuizen, it is a twin-village also called Top and Twel.

The Geeuwpoldermolen (or Geau's Mole in West Frisian) is a drainage mill near the twin village of Oppenhuizen, Friesland, Netherlands. It is a hollow post windmill of the type called spinnenkop by the Dutch. The mill is listed as a Rijksmonument, number 39810 and it is still in use for draining the Geeuwpolder. It was almost completely renewed at a restoration in 1987, earlier restorations were in 1954 and 1965.

Oppenhuizen (West Frisian: Toppenhuzen) is a village in Súdwest-Fryslân municipality in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 1,065 in January 2017.

Doniawerstal was a municipality in southwest Friesland, south of Sneek. It consisted mainly of grassland and lakes. Its capital was Langweer. The municipality was dissolved in 1984; part went to Wymbritseradiel and part went to Skarsterlân. At the time of its dissolution it had its Dutch name; in West Frisian it was Doanjewerstal.
