The Southeastern Livestock Pavilion is a 4,212-seat covered arena located in Ocala, Florida. It was one of the first new arenas to be completed after World War II, having been built in 1945, and, until the O'Connell Center was completed, served as the largest sports and entertainment venue north of Orlando, Florida. It is still used for rodeos, concerts, trade shows, and other special events. The Pavilion still boasts Florida's largest clear-span roof, which rises no higher than 37 feet, and has two separate grandstands, the Eastside and Westside Grandstands, as well as a 36,000-square-foot arena floor. Adjacent are an 800-seat air-conditioned auditorium used for auctions and a3,178-square-foot reception hall. There is parking for 1000 cars.

Vanguard High School is one of seven public high schools in Marion County, Florida. The school serves the northeast area of Ocala, Florida. Vanguard offers the International Baccalaureate program, which accepts students from across Marion County and from surrounding counties and accounts for approximately 25% of the student population. In addition to the IB Program, Vanguard High School is the home of the Future Educators Academy. Graduates of the Future Educators Academy have the opportunity to dual enroll and complete their AA degree upon high school graduation. Vanguard's mascot is a knight and the school colors are red, white, and blue. Notable alumni include NFL football player Daunte Culpepper and Dustin Moskovitz, co-founder of Facebook. The Vanguard Knight's cross-town rivals are the Forest High School Wildcats. Raney's Inc., Siva MD PA and AdventHealth are the school's business partners.The student population as of the 2021-2022 school year is 1,600 students. The school is staffed by 120 people.

Jumbolair Airport (FAA LID: 17FL) is a private-use airport. It is located in the unincorporated community of Anthony, which is seven miles (11 km) northeast of Ocala, Florida, United States. Frank Merschman owned and operated Jumbolair until 2019 when it was sold to Jumbolair Development LLC, managed by Robert and Debra Bull. The airport has two runways: 18/36 with an asphalt pavement measuring 7,550 x 210 ft (2,301 x 64 m) and 9/27 with a grass surface measuring 3,640 x 100 ft (1,109 x 30 m). According to FAA documents, 9/27 ""Greystone"" grass airstrip was once so degraded that only the smallest aircraft could use it.

The Coca-Cola Bottling Plant (also known as the Florida Coca-Cola Bottling Company) is an historic building located at 939 North Magnolia Avenue in Ocala, Florida, United States. Built in 1939, it was designed by Fort Lauderdale architect Courtney Stewart in the Mission/Spanish Revival style of architecture. On May 4, 1979, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Now owned and operated by Gartner Group, Inc. The building is the site of Grand Pointe Ocala, the cities premier event and conference center.

The E. C. Smith House (also known as the James Hall House) is a historic home in Ocala, Florida. It is located at 507 Northeast 8th Avenue. On May 24, 1990, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Evergreen Cemetery is a historic cemetery in Ocala, Marion County, Florida. Established July 8, 1850, it was Ocala's first public cemetery. A historical marker was placed at the site. Volunteer cleanup efforts have taken place.

The Ocala Union Station (also known as Union Station Plaza) is a bus station and former train station in Ocala, Florida, United States. It is located at 531 Northeast First Avenue, and was built in 1917 by both the Atlantic Coast Line and Seaboard Air Line Railroad. Prior to this, ACL and SAL had separate depots in Ocala. The former ACL station was originally built by the Florida Southern Railroad, while the former SAL station was built by the Florida Transit and Peninsular Railroad. On December 22, 1997, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Kendrick is an unincorporated community outside Ocala in Marion County, Florida, United States. It is named for former Florida State Senator, lecturer, and pioneer William H. Kendrick.

The Tuscawilla Park Historic District is a historic district in Ocala, Florida. It is bounded by Northeast 4th Street, Sanchez Avenue, 2nd Street, Tuscawilla Avenue, and Watula Street. It encompasses approximately 20 acres, and contains 37 historic buildings. On March 30, 1988, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The former United Hebrews of Ocala synagogue is a historic Carpenter Gothic building located at 729 N.E. 2nd Street, in the Tuscawilla Park Historic District of Ocala, Florida. Built in 1888, it was one of the first synagogues in Florida. It is listed in the Marion County section of A Guide to Florida's Historic Architecture, published in 1989 by the University of Florida Press in Gainesville. In 1963, the congregation adopted the name Temple B'nai Darom. The building is a contributing property to the historic district. It is among the oldest synagogue buildings still standing in the United States.

WOGK (93.7 FM), known as "K-Country", is a commercial radio station in Ocala, Florida, United States, broadcasting to the Gainesville-Ocala, Florida area on 93.7 MHz. The station can also be heard as far as Lakeland, Orlando and Jacksonville.

Howard High School was a segregated black school in Ocala, Florida. It closed in 1969, after the public schools were integrated in 1968. It is now a middle school.
