Bidston Dock

Birkenhead Dock railway station was situated in Birkenhead, Wirral, England. The station opened as the eastern terminus of the Hoylake Railway in 1866. With the opening of the horse drawn Woodside and Birkenhead Dock Street Tramway in 1873, the station probably became the world's first tram to train interchange station. The station was closed to passengers in 1888 being superseded by Birkenhead Docks railway station which was later named Birkenhead North. The former passenger station was renamed Birkenhead Dock Goods, with the platforms still in existence in 1937, with the goods station closing the following year. The site was used as railway sidings until the 1990s.

Weatherhead High School is a single sex girls' academy school with mixed Sixth Form, located in Merseyside, England in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral. In 2003, the school relocated from three separate sites around the Wallasey area to a new purpose-built state of the art site on Breck Road. The school has over 1500 pupils on roll, ranging from 11 to 18. There is a mixed Sixth Form of up to 400 students. Birkenhead North TMD is a traction maintenance depot, which is owned by Network Rail and operated by Stadler. Located opposite Birkenhead North railway station, it is currently responsible for servicing and stabling Merseyrail's fleet of Class 507, 508 and class 777 electric multiple units. Birkenhead North's current depot code is BD, having been changed from BN in 1976.

It is located on the Wirral Peninsula and bordered by Liscard to the north, Egremont to the north east and Seacombe to the east. The West Float (part of the former Wallasey Pool which gave the area its name), is to the south.

Wallasey power station supplied electricity to the town of Wallasey and the surrounding area from 1897. It was owned and operated by Wallasey Corporation until the nationalisation of the British electricity supply industry in 1948. The power station was redeveloped several times: including the incorporation of new plant in the 1920s and 1950. The station was decommissioned in the late 1960s.

The Mosslands School is a comprehensive, community school for boys aged 11–18. It is situated in Wallasey Village, Wirral, England. It is a STEAM Centre of Excellence and became a specialist Technology College in 2004.The school has 1097 pupils of whom 159 are in the sixth form. The school is rare in that it is a single-sex comprehensive school. Whilst Mosslands is a boys school, it accepts girls in the sixth form. Ofsted rated the school as Good in 2016.

Liscard is an area of the town of Wallasey, in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, Merseyside, England. The most centrally located of Wallasey's townships, it is the main shopping area of the town, with many shops located in the Cherry Tree Shopping Centre. At the 2001 census the population of Liscard local government ward was recorded at 14,301, increasing to 15,574 at the 2011 census.

HMS Bronington was a Ton-class minesweeper of the Royal Navy, launched on 19 March 1953. This mahogany-hulled minesweeper was one of the last of the "wooden walls" (wooden-hulled naval vessels).
