Bagneaux-sur-Loing (French pronunciation: [baɲo syʁ lwɛ̃] , literally Bagneaux on Loing) is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. Bagneaux-sur-Loing station has rail connections to Montargis, Melun and Paris.

Souppes-sur-Loing (French pronunciation: [sup syʁ lwɛ̃] , literally Souppes on Loing) is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department at the southern edge of the Île-de-France region in north-central France. The town of Souppes-sur-Loing has 5,390 inhabitants (2017), and is located 86 miles (99.1 kilometers) south of Paris. It has a station, Souppes – Château-Landon, on the Transilien suburban railroad line between the Gare de Lyon railway station in Paris station and the city of Montargis, and many of the town's residents commute to work in Paris. The historic monuments of the town include a church and vestiges of monastery of the Cistercian Order from the 12th century. In the 19th and early 20th century the town was known for the creamy white limestone from the Souppes quarry, which was used to build the Basilica of Montmartre and several other monuments in Paris. The major economic enterprise of Souppes today is a large sugar mill and distillery which processes sugar beets from the surrounding farmlands.

The Communauté de communes Gâtinais-Val de Loing is a communauté de communes in the Seine-et-Marne département and in the Île-de-France région of France. It was formed on 1 January 2010, and also contains the communes of the former Communauté de communes de la Campagne Gâtinaise. Its seat is in Château-Landon. Its area is 338.0 km2, and its population was 18,662 in 2019.

The Tramway at Darvault (French La voie ferrée Sablières de Darvault au Canal du Loing) was an approximately 5.5 km (3.4 mi) long narrow-gauge railway with a gauge of 600 mm (1 ft 11+5⁄8 in) from the sand pits at Darvault to the Canal du Loing at Montcourt-Fromonville in France.

The Musée de Préhistoire d'Île-de-France (Ile-de-France Prehistory Museum), located in Nemours, in Seine-et-Marne, is a departmental museum with a regional vocation. It presents the Prehistory of the Paris Basin, from the first vestiges attesting to the presence of Man, more than 500,000 years ago, to the end of the Gallic period, in the last quarter of the 1st century BC. AD. Completed in 1980, the raw concrete and glass building is the work of architect and urban planner Roland Simounet.

The Château de Nemours is a castle in the town and commune of Nemours in the Seine-et-Marne département of France. Located in the extreme south of the Paris conurbation, it stands on the banks of the Loing river. Transformed into a museum between 1903 and 1999, it houses collections of pottery. The remains of the former chapel were added to the register of ancient monuments in 1926. The castle itself was made a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture in 1977.
