The Theatre School at DePaul University, previously the Goodman School of Drama (also known as TTS and GSD, respectively) is the drama school of DePaul University. Founded when its first class was conducted at the Art Institute of Chicago on January 5, 1925, the Goodman School was associated with the Goodman Theatre company and officially became part of DePaul University on July 1, 1978, and was renamed The Theatre School at DePaul University in 1982. The Theatre School is the Midwest region's oldest theatre conservatory and is ranked as one of the top professional theatrical training programs in the United States, enrolling approximately 450 students from North America and abroad. The Theatre School's main performance spaces are the Merle Reskin Theatre (formerly Blackstone Theatre) in Downtown Chicago, the Healy BlackBox theatre, and the Watts Theater in the Lincoln Park Campus.

The Cortland Street Drawbridge (originally known as the Clybourn Place drawbridge) over the Chicago River is the original Chicago-style fixed-trunnion bascule bridge, designed by John Ericson and Edward Wilmann. When it opened in 1902, on Chicago's north side, it was the first such bridge built in the United States. The bridge was a major advance in American movable bridge engineering, and was the prototype for over 50 additional bridges in Chicago alone. The bridge was designated as an ASCE Civil Engineering Landmark in 1981, and a Chicago Landmark in 1991.

DePaul University is a private, Catholic research university in Chicago. Founded by the Vincentians in 1898, the university takes its name from the 17th-century French priest Saint Vincent de Paul. In 1998, it became the largest Catholic university by enrollment in North America. Following in the footsteps of its founders, DePaul places special emphasis on recruiting first-generation students and others from disadvantaged backgrounds.DePaul's two campuses are located in Lincoln Park and the Loop. The Lincoln Park Campus is home to the Colleges of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Science and Health, and Education. It also houses the School of Music, the Theatre School, and the John T. DePaul is classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity".The university enrolls around 14,500 undergraduates and about 7,900 graduate/law students. According to the Division of Student Affairs website, about 90% of DePaul's students commute or live off campus. The student body represents a wide array of religious, ethnic, and geographic backgrounds, including over 60 foreign countries.DePaul's intercollegiate athletic teams, known as the DePaul Blue Demons, compete in the Big East Conference. DePaul's men's basketball team has made 18 NCAA tournament appearances and appeared in two Final Fours. DePaul's softball team in 2019 had their third consecutive Big East Tournament title and 21st NCAA Tournament appearance in program history under head coach Tracie Adix-Zins.

West End was one of the early group of Chicago punk rock clubs that included La Mere Vipere and O'Banion's, operating in the late 1970s and 1980s. It was located at 1175 W. Armitage

University Auditorium or the College Theater Building and nicknamed "The Barn" was a multi-purpose arena and theater in Chicago on DePaul's Lincoln Park campus.

Lincoln Yards is a mixed-use development project located on the North Side of Chicago between the Lincoln Park and Bucktown neighborhoods. It consists of several high-rises that will include apartments, condos, office, retail, and entertainment. Lincoln Yards will occupy more than 50 acres of land located on both sides of the North Branch of the Chicago River. It will be bounded by Webster Avenue to the north, Clybourn Avenue to the east, North Avenue to the south, and the Kennedy Expressway to the west.

Clybourn is a railroad station in Chicago serving Metra's Union Pacific North Line and Union Pacific Northwest Line. It is located at 2001 North Ashland Avenue (at West Armitage Avenue) and is the first station north of Ogilvie Transportation Center. Clybourn is located at Clybourn Junction. The Union Pacific North Line’s Kenosha Subdivision begins here, separating from the Union Pacific Northwest Line’s Harvard Subdivision. Clybourn Junction was named for its location near Clybourn Place, the home of the Clybourn family, early settlers in the Chicago area. Clybourn is situated between the Bucktown and DePaul neighborhoods, several miles north of downtown Chicago. In Metra's zone-based fare schedule, Clybourn is in zone A. As of 2018, Clybourn is the 17th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 1,674 weekday boardings.North Line and Northwest Line trains stop on separate platforms, between which is a small parking lot. The Northwest Line section has an island platform for the bidirectional express track and the outbound local track, and a shared island platform that serves the inbound track. Outbound North Line trains use the other side of the island platform between the two lines. Inbound North Line trains use a side platform to the east. The busy Kennedy Expressway passes to the west of the Northwest Line tracks, and the north branch of the Chicago River is several blocks to the east. There is no ticket agent booth at the station; passengers must buy tickets on the train either online or after boarding. The station is in a mostly industrial neighborhood, though it is served by Chicago Transit Authority buses. The vast majority of trains that pass through the station make a scheduled stop there. On the North Line, on weekdays, as of April 25, 2022, all 35 trains in each direction stop at Clybourn Station. On the Northwest Line, on weekdays, as of April 25, 2022, 29 of 33 inbound trains stop at Clybourn, as do 30 of 33 outbound trains. On Saturdays, 11 of 13 North Line trains in each direction stop at Clybourn, with eight of nine trains in each direction stopping on Sundays. During the summer concert season, the extra weekend train to Ravinia Park also stops here. On Saturdays, 16 of 17 inbound Northwest Line trains and 15 of 17 outbound trains also stop. On Sundays, nine of 10 inbound Northwest Line trains stop at Clybourn, while 10 of 11 outbound trains also stop at Clybourn. From Clybourn station, it is possible to take a train as far north as Kenosha, Wisconsin and as far northwest as Harvard, Illinois. Clybourn is 2.9 miles (4.7 km) from Ogilvie Transportation Center, 48.7 miles (78.4 km) from Kenosha, and 60.2 miles (96.9 km) from Harvard.

Lincoln Yards Stadium was the working name for a planned 20,000-seat soccer stadium to house the future Chicago team in the USL Championship.Plans for the stadium, which was to sit on the west side of the North branch of the Chicago River, include a retractable roof in order to host other sporting, entertainment and cultural events. The stadium would be part of a massive $5 billion, 70-acre (28 ha) mixed-use development project, to include apartments, condos, office, retail and entertainment. The development was also a proposed site in Chicago's unsuccessful bid for Amazon's second headquarters.In January 2019, plans for the stadium were dropped after not receiving political support.

Alumni Hall was a 5,308-seat multi-purpose arena in Chicago on DePaul's Lincoln Park campus.

St. Vincent de Paul Church is a historic parish church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago located in Chicago, Illinois. The parish was founded by the Vincentians in 1875.

The Northwestern Terra Cotta Company Building is a historic building at 1701-1711 W. Terra Cotta Place in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Constructed in 1905, the building housed the offices for the Northwestern Terra Cotta Company's terra cotta production plant. In the early twentieth century, terra cotta was a popular decorative building material in both Chicago and the country as a whole; the newly developed Chicago school of architecture in particular used terra cotta extensively. The Northwestern Terra Cotta Company was one of the leading national producers of the material, and its terra cotta was used in Chicago architectural landmarks such as the Rookery Building, the Wrigley Building, and the Sullivan Center. The plant closed in 1932 and has been largely demolished, leaving the office building as its only major remnant.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 8, 1989.

Jonquil Park is a medium-sized public park of 3.25 acres located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood on the North Side of Chicago, Illinois. The park is situated at the intersection of West Wrightwood Avenue and North Sheffield Avenue, offering a green space and recreational area for local residents and visitors, including a public playground set with water toys for children, two tennis courts, a baseball field, and picnic tables with a chess board. The park sits at the northern end of Depaul University and is near the Fullerton "L" Station.
