Bel Forest Academy

The Ma and Pa Trail is a 6.25-mile (10.1 km) multi-purpose rail trail that follows the path of the old Ma and Pa Railroad through Harford County, Maryland. It contains three linked trails, one unconnected, with plans to bridge the gap in the middle, bringing the total length to 10 miles (16 km). Both links of the trail have a variety of trail surfaces (paved, larger gravel, finer gravel), have few steep hills or hazards, and contain overlooks and bridges when necessary. The Bel Air Trail is a 2.5-mile (4.0 km) trail that runs from Williams Street in downtown to the Equestrian Center on the other side of the bypass. It passes underneath of the Maryland Route 24 (MD 24) highway, the U.S. Route 1 (US 1) bypass, and crosses Tollgate Road, where it meets the Fallston Trail. Spurs off of it connect to the Harford Mall and Liriodendron mansion, and branches out to a dog park at the end. It serves as a shortcut across town, rather than walking along highways, and contains several bridges across branches of the creek while cutting through the forested Heavenly Waters Park. Bathrooms and parking are available at each end of the trail. Horses and dogs are permitted on the Bel Air link of the path. The Fallston Link is a 2-mile (3.2 km) segment dedicated on June 7, 2008, that runs from the Equestrian Center to the Edgeley Grove Farm area of Fallston.The Forest Hill Trail is a third, 1.75-mile (2.8 km) link of the trail running from the duckpond at Friends Park to Melrose Lane. A tunnel is located at MD 23, but passes over a development street on the north end. Bathrooms and parking are located at each end. Dogs are allowed on the Forest Hill link, but horses are not. As of late 2020, final preparations for construction to link the two routes into one continuous trail is underway. At the time of the original constructions, a tunnel was built underneath of US 1 in preparation, but it is unconnected to any path system. Construction for an extension from Bel Air to the Edgeley Grove area in Fallston is planned, and a 4.1-mile (6.6 km) northern link at Dooley Road, near the state line in Cardiff is under study.

Liriodendron is a historic home and estate located at Bel Air, Harford County, Maryland, United States. It was the summer home of Laetitia and Dr Howard Kelly, a successful surgeon and founding member of the Johns Hopkins Medical College, and comprises the mansion named Liriodendron; the Graybeal-Kelly House; a c. 1835 bank barn; a c. 1898 carriage house; a c. 1850 board-and-batten cottage; and five other outbuildings including a corn crib, a smokehouse, two ice houses, and a shed. The 2+1⁄2-story, stuccoed brick mansion was designed by the Baltimore architectural firm of Wyatt and Nolting in the Georgian Revival style and constructed about 1898. The 2+1⁄2-story Georgian-style Graybeal-Kelly House, built about 1835, was the manor house for the farm until the mansion was constructed. It is used as a wedding, conference, and arts facility. Liriodendron was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Joshua's Meadows is a historic home located at Bel Air, Harford County, Maryland, United States. It is a three-part house: the two oldest sections are Flemish bond brick, T-shaped, gable roofed, built about 1750; and the third section is of native fieldstone and dates to 1937. The original house consists of two parts; a main 2+1⁄2-story 20-by-40-foot (6.1 by 12.2 m) house and a 1+1⁄2-story 16-by-20-foot (4.9 by 6.1 m) kitchen wing.Joshua's Meadows was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Proctor House, also known as the Cassandra Gilbert House, is an historic home located at Bel Air, Harford County, Maryland, United States. It is a two-story detached Carpenter Gothic style cottage with board and batten siding, constructed between 1860 and 1873 and enlarged about 1884. The interior features an arched slate mantel painted to resemble several colors of inlaid marble.Proctor House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The Harford Mall is a shopping mall owned by CBL & Associates Properties that is located near the junction of Maryland Route 24 and U.S. Route 1, about 32 miles (51 km) north of Baltimore, in Bel Air, Maryland, United States. Its anchor is Macy's. It is the only shopping mall in Harford County, Maryland. The mall was built on the previous site of the Bel Air Racetrack.

Bel Air Racetrack was a horse racing facility located one mile north of Baltimore Pike and east of Tollgate Road in Bel Air, Maryland. The 100-acre site was originally plotted in 1870 but was later improved and expanded in 1936 by new owner Ray Bryson to include a 3/4-mile race track, new starting gate, and larger grandstands. The track flourished until the 1940s when the owners became embroiled in political efforts to close the track.After Bryson died in 1958, the state legislature eventually prevailed and the track closed in 1962. The property is now the site of Harford Mall.

Bel Air Armory is a historic National Guard armory located at Bel Air, Harford County, Maryland. It was constructed in 1915 of Port Deposit granite. The building consists of the main block, five bays by three, two stories over a raised basement, and the "drill hall" to the rear of the main block. The front elevation is detailed to recall Medieval fortifications and features two projecting hexagonal towers which rise to three stories and are topped by crenelated battlements finished in stone coping.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Graham-Crocker House is a historic home located at 30 North Main Street, Bel Air, Harford County, Maryland, United States. It is a 2+1⁄2-story frame dwelling with a shed addition to the south and an ell to the west, and dating to about 1825.The Graham-Crocker House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Bel Air Courthouse Historic District is a national historic district at Bel Air, Harford County, Maryland, US. It consists of a small cohesive group of buildings, mostly two or three stories of brick or frame construction that were erected or renovated in the 19th to early 20th century period. It borders the Harford County Courthouse which is a grand scale brick structure.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Harford National Bank is a historic bank building located at Bel Air, Harford County, Maryland. It is a one-story, with day-light basement built in a modified Richardson Romanesque style of glazed red brick and rusticated brownstone. It was designed by architect George Archer in 1889.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Odd Fellows Lodge, also known as Old First Presbyterian Church, is a historic building in Bel Air, Maryland, United States. It was built in 1852, and is a one-story, temple-form, Greek Revival style brick building above a high basement. The front facade features a projecting portico supported by four Doric order columns. It was originally built for the First Presbyterian Church, who moved to a new church in 1881 and leased it to the Odd Fellows Lodge.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The Bel Air Police Department (BAPD) is a full-service agency servicing the incorporated Municipality of Bel Air, Maryland. The department is located in the Harford county seat of Bel Air at 39 North Hickory Avenue, Bel Air, Maryland 21014. BAPD is Bel Air's primary law enforcement agency which was established in 1874.
