Rheinstetten

Kunzenbach is a small river of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is a branch of the Federbach near Durmersheim.

Neuburgweier is a part of the city Rheinstetten, which was first established as a municipality in the course of an administrative reform in 1975. In terms of inhabitants and area, it is the smallest of the three city parts - Neuburgweier, Forchheim and Mörsch. Following places border on Neuburgweier: Forchheim, Mörsch, Au am Rhein and on the other side of the Rhine, Neuburg am Rhein.

The Upper Rhine (German: Oberrhein [ˈoːbɐˌʁaɪn] ; French: Rhin Supérieur) is the section of the Rhine between Basel in Switzerland and Bingen in Germany, surrounded by the Upper Rhine Plain. The river is marked by Rhine-kilometres 170 to 529 (the scale beginning in Konstanz and ending in Rotterdam). The Upper Rhine is one of four sections of the river (the others being the High Rhine, Middle Rhine and Lower Rhine) between Lake Constance and the North Sea. The countries and states along the Upper Rhine are Switzerland, France (Alsace) and the German states of Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse. The largest cities along the river are Basel, Mulhouse, Strasbourg, Karlsruhe, Mannheim, Ludwigshafen and Mainz. The Upper Rhine was straightened between 1817 and 1876 by Johann Gottfried Tulla and made navigable between 1928 and 1977. The Treaty of Versailles allows France to use the Upper Rhine for hydroelectricity in the Grand Canal d'Alsace. On the left bank are the French region of Alsace and the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate; on the right bank are the German states of Baden-Württemberg and Hesse. The first few kilometres are in the Swiss city of Basel.

Durmersheim is a small town in the district of Rastatt, Baden-Württemberg, Southwest Germany and has a population of 12,112 (2020). Durmersheim is situated between Karlsruhe and Rastatt, in the valley of the river Rhine near the border to France. There is also a forest in the valley, named Hardtwald, c. 2 km east of the town.

The Lauter (in its upper course also: Wieslauter) is a river in Germany and France. The Lauter is a left tributary of the Rhine. Its length is 55 kilometres (34 mi), of which 39 km is in France and on the France–Germany border. It is formed by the confluence of two headstreams (Scheidbach and Wartenbach) north of Hinterweidenthal in the Palatine Forest in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It flows through Dahn, crosses the border with France, flows through Wissembourg, and then forms the French-German international boundary until its confluence with the Rhine near Lauterbourg and Neuburg am Rhein.

Dm-Arena is a multi-purpose hall in Rheinstetten near Karlsruhe, Germany. The indoor arena is one of four exhibition halls of the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre (Messe Karlsruhe). It opened in 2003 and holds 14,000 people. It hosts mainly trade shows and indoor sporting events like the Indoor Meeting Karlsruhe. While the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre is operated by a municipal company, the Dm-Arena carries the name of the sponsor dm-drogerie markt, a chain of retail stores headquartered in Karlsruhe.

Neuburg am Rhein is a municipality in the district of Germersheim, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is the southernmost municipality in the state.

Au am Rhein is a municipality in the district of Rastatt in Baden-Württemberg in Germany.

The Upper Rhine Plain, Rhine Rift Valley or Upper Rhine Graben (German: Oberrheinische Tiefebene, Oberrheinisches Tiefland or Oberrheingraben, French: Vallée du Rhin) is a major rift, about 350-kilometre-long (220 mi) and on average 50-kilometre-wide (31 mi), between Basel in the south and the cities of Frankfurt/Wiesbaden in the north. Its southern section straddles the France–Germany border. It forms part of the European Cenozoic Rift System, which extends across Central Europe. The Upper Rhine Graben formed during the Oligocene, as a response to the evolution of the Alps to the south. It remains active to the present day. Today, the Rhine Rift Valley forms a downfaulted trough through which the river Rhine flows.

The Ettlingen Line (German: Ettlinger Linie) or Lower Line (Untere Linie) was a defensive line built in 1707 during the War of the Spanish Succession from brushwood (Verhauen) and palisades, which replaced the 1701 Bühl-Stollhofen Line after that had been destroyed in May 1707 and levelled by French troops.

Bietigheim is a village in the district of Rastatt in Baden-Württemberg in Southwestern Germany. It is located east of the Rhine river and thus the border to France, west of the Black Forest (more precisely the Northern Black Forest), south of the city of Karlsruhe and north of the city of Rastatt.

Daxlanden is a borough of Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, in the southwest of Germany. This former fishing village lies west of the city centre of Karlsruhe, not far from the river Rhine on the river Alb and comprises about 11,500 inhabitants.
