Battle of Lindley's Mill

Spring Friends Meeting House is a historic Quaker meeting house located at Snow Camp, Alamance County, North Carolina. The fourth and current meeting house was built in 1907, and is a small rectangular frame one-story gable-front building. It features Gothic Revival style lancet windows and a short, plain rectangular cupola with pyramidal roof. Spring Friends Meeting is an active congregation of Quakers from the Alamance, Chatham, Orange, Guilford and Randolph County area of North Carolina. Members of the Religious Society of Friends first started "meeting at the spring" around 1761, with the congregation formally recognized by North Carolina Yearly Meeting in 1773. The adjacent contributing cemetery dates from the founding of the meeting, about 1761. It contains the graves of some of the earliest Quaker settlers in Alamance County, as well as the unmarked graves of approximately 25 American Revolutionary War soldiers killed in the 1781 Battle of Lindley's Mill. The battle itself was waged around the meeting house, with governor Thomas Burke and other officials held prisoner in the original meeting house during the battle.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Camilus McBane House is a historic home located near Snow Camp, Alamance County, North Carolina. The house consists of two log buildings: a one-story, single-room log kitchen and a one-story with loft hall-and-parlor plan log house built about 1850. It was expanded in 1892 by a one-room frame side addition.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Eli Whitney is an unincorporated community in southeastern Alamance County, North Carolina, United States. It is located at the intersection of North Carolina Highway 87, and Greensboro-Chapel Hill Road. To the south is Mandale and to the west is Snow Camp. The United States Postal Service considers Eli Whitney part of the Graham delivery area. Eli Whitney gained its name from the inventor of the cotton gin, Eli Whitney. The reasoning for this was because there was once a cotton gin located in the community, but has been gone for many years now. Eli Whitney was once home to a school as well, but it too closed and was later demolished. The school's gymnasium was left standing and now serves as a community center.

Former Saxapahaw Spinning Mill is a former textile mill building located at Saxapahaw, Alamance County, North Carolina. It was built between 1906 and 1938, and is a three-story, augmented L-shaped brick, heavy timber and steel building. It was later expanded in the 1940s and 1950s. The former power house was built about 1880, and is a small rectangular, brick, side-gabled building. The Saxapahaw Mill operated for almost 150 years until Dixie Yarns, owners from 1978 to 1995, closed its doors in 1994.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.The building is currently the home to The Eddy Pub, a restaurant; the Haw River Ballroom, a music venue; a coffee shop; and a brewery. The lower building has been converted into apartments and offices as well as a yoga studio.

Northwest District Park is a public park in Chatham County, North Carolina in the United States, operated by the Chatham County Parks and Recreation Department.Amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, lake with rental paddle boats, multipurpose field for soccer, ultimate, football, rugby, and other field sports, youth activity building, picnic pavilions, restrooms, outdoor basketball court, reception/meeting building with lake view, playground, 1 mile walking trail, and parking. The trail winds through mature hardwood forests. Events include a Summer Camp: A week-long, full-day summer camp for ages 5-14, and movies in the park.
