The Radnorshire Arms is a well-preserved Jacobean building in the Welsh border town of Presteigne, in Powys. The building has the date 1616 over its door but it is claimed it dates to the 16th century, once owned by Sir Christopher Hatton, a lawyer and politician, Lord Chancellor of England and rumoured lover of Queen Elizabeth I. In 1616 it became home to a local man, John Bradshaw. The building became an inn in 1792 and had several additions around 1875. There are also many anomalies inside the Hotel itself, caused by the large number of changes and additions to the original structure. In 1875 a secret chamber was discovered off of what is now the Resident's Lounge, which turned out to be a Priest Hole. Behind one of the panels was the diary of a Catholic Priest who had been hiding there for two years. Originally a private residence, the hotel is a Grade II* listed building. The hotel was sold out of administration to Allworks Properties in 2020.

The Assembly Rooms in Presteigne (Welsh: Ystafelloedd Cynnull Llanandras), formerly Presteigne Town Hall (Welsh: Neuadd y Dref Llanandras), is a municipal building in Broad Street, Presteigne, Powys, Wales. The structure, which accommodates a public library on the ground floor and as an arts centre on the first floor, is a Grade II listed building.

Presteigne (; Welsh: Llanandras: the church of St. Andrew) is a town and community in Radnorshire, Powys, Wales on the south bank of the River Lugg. Formerly the county town of the historic county of Radnorshire, the town has, in common with several other towns close to the Wales-England border, assumed the motto, "Gateway to Wales". The border wraps around three sides of the town (north, east and south). Nearby towns are Kington, Herefordshire to the south and Knighton to the north, and surrounding villages include Norton (within the community) and Stapleton. The town falls within the Diocese of Hereford. The community has a population of 2,710; the built-up area had a population of 2,056.

The Shire Hall is a municipal structure in Broad Street, Presteigne, Powys, Wales. The building incorporates a well-preserved courtroom and a museum known as "the Judge's Lodging". Once the judicial centre for Radnorshire, is a Grade II* listed building.

Presteign Railway Station was a railway station serving the town of Presteigne, Radnorshire, Wales. It was a terminus on the Leominster and Kington Railway. The Kington & Presteigne Railway opened on 9 September 1875. Commencing at Titley Junction, through Staunton on Arrow, in front of the Rodd farm at Roddhurst, via Corton into Presteigne. By 1929 it was possible to join one of the three steam trains a day – each way – and make the 6 hour journey to London. The passenger service on this line ended in 1951, but a freight service continued to run every other day until the line was finally closed for good in September 1964.

John Beddoes School is a secondary or comprehensive school for boys and girls. The school is based on one site in the town of Presteigne.It has a largely rural catchment area in east Radnorshire including the towns and villages of Presteigne, Knighton, Beguildy, New Radnor, Knucklas, Gladestry, Whitton and Norton. It is situated 1/2 mile away from the Welsh/English border and also educated pupils from Herefordshire and Shropshire. During 2013 the school was incorrectly placed in Estyn's Special Measures category. With the support of Newtown High School the school underwent numerous changes, however under Powys County Council plans, approved by Welsh Government, John Beddoes High School closed on 10 April 2014 to be reopened as a campus of Newtown High School on 11 April 2014. The two campuses both operate as part of one school with a single Senior Leadership Team. But to all the local residents it is still known as John Beddoes School, and always will be.

Norton is a village in Presteigne community, Powys, within the historic boundaries of Radnorshire, Wales. In 1086, Norton was recorded as a settlement within the hundred of Leintwardine and in the county of Shropshire in the Domesday Book. Norton is approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Presteigne. Norton was a civil parish, at the 1971 census (the last before the abolition of the parish), Norton had a population of 250. In 1974 Norton became a community, on 1 April 1983 the community was abolished.

St Andrew's Church is a Church of England parish church in Presteigne, Powys, Wales. It was first constructed in the 9th century by the Anglo-Saxons and retains elements of the original Anglo-Saxon church within a Norman renovation and later Victorian restoration. It is a Grade I listed building.

Rodd, Nash and Little Brampton is a civil parish in the county of Herefordshire, England, and is 18 miles (29 km) north-west from the city and county town of Hereford. The parish borders Powys in Wales at its north-west. Within the parish is the final home and studio of the 20th-century Australian artist Sydney Nolan.

Stapleton is a small village and civil parish in Herefordshire near the border town of Presteigne in Wales. The parish borders on Willey, Kinsham and Presteigne. Stapleton is surrounded by farmland. Bryan's Ground gardens are open to the public.

Burfa Castle (also known as Burfa Hillfort, Burfa Bank Hillfort, or Burfa Camp) is an Iron Age hillfort near the tiny town of Old Radnor, Radnorshire in Powys, Wales. The site is a scheduled monument described as a prehistoric defensive hillfort, and was included in an inventory of monuments by 1913. The site is near Offa's Dyke which passes near the bottom of Burfa Bank.The site is an important multivallate site and measures 579 metres by 187 metres. Little of the hillfort is visible today and the site has been badly damaged by forestry. On the side of the hillfort's likely entrance are three or four banks and ditches, "incorporating a torturous entrance approach".Material dating from the 1st and 2nd century CE has been found at the site. Further, the Radnor Valley was at the edge of known Roman settlements; though the valley is not thought to have been home to any permanent Roman settlements, traces of an auxiliary fort and troop camps have been found in the area, including one at Burfa.
