Fawn Island

The Belle River is a 73.5-mile-long (118.3 km) river in the U.S. state of Michigan, flowing into the St. Clair River in Marine City at 42°42′25″N 82°29′50″W. The North Branch Belle River rises out of Long Lake at 43°00′50″N 83°08′41″W in section 22 of Attica Township in southeast Lapeer County. Long Lake is fed by the Long Lake Drain, which drains marshy areas to the south of the lake. From Long Lake, the river flows eastward around the north side of Imlay City. It is fed by the Hunt, Pennell, and Clark Corner drains on the northeast of Imlay City and turns southward, where it joins the main branch of the river at 42°59′31″N 83°03′57″W, now near the intersection of Interstate 69 and M-53. The main branch of the Belle River rises in the south of Dryden Township at 42°53′54″N 83°07′50″W, in a marshy area near the boundary between Lapeer and Oakland counties. It flows mostly north and east until joined by the north branch, after which it flows mostly south and east into St. Clair County. It passes the north side of Memphis, then turns southeast and passes through the northeast corner of Macomb County. Interstate 94 crosses the river in the northeast corner of Casco Township. The river continues east by southeast through China Township and into East China Township, where it turns south less than a half mile from the St. Clair River and parallels the St. Clair for a few miles before its mouth in downtown Marine City. The river's watershed drains portions of Lapeer, Macomb, Oakland, and St. Clair counties.

Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School is a private, Catholic high school in Marine City, Michigan. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit.

The Sombra – Marine City (Bluewater) Ferry was a ferry service that crossed the St. Clair River, connecting Sombra, Ontario in Canada on the eastern bank with Marine City, Michigan in the United States on the western bank. Vehicles accessed the ferry from Lambton County Road 33/St. Clair Parkway (a former alignment of Highway 40) in Sombra or from Highway M-29 in Marine City. In Sombra on the Ontario/Canadian side, the dock was on King Street. On the Michigan/American side, the dock was on South Water Street. In July, 2013 the ferry was charging a toll of $7.00 (CAN or US) for an automobile. The first departure from Sombra was 6:40 AM, and from Marine City was 7:00 AM.

The Marine City Water Works is a public works building located at 229 South Main Street in Marine City, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

The village is now home to mostly permanent residences and commuters supported by larger cities and towns such as Sarnia, Corunna, and Wallaceburg. Each year, in July, the town hosts Sombra Days. This community is served by two elementary schools, several churches and a small service industry. The public school is Riverview Central School. In the recent past, Sombra served as a registered port of entry into Canada by means of a ferry crossing, the Bluewater Ferry from nearby Marine City, Michigan, United States.

Marine City is a city in St. Clair County in the U.S. state of Michigan. Located on the west bank of the St. Clair River, it is one of the cities in the River District north of Detroit and south of Lake Huron. In the late 19th century, it was a major center of wooden shipbuilding and lumber processing. The population was 4,079 at the 2020 census. The city formerly featured an international auto ferry service, The Bluewater Ferry to Sombra, Ontario, Canada across the river.

The Marine City City Hall is a former government building located at 300 Broadway Street in Marine City, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. City government offices moved out of the building in 2005.

The Ward-Holland House is a private house located at 433 North Main Street in Marine City, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

WHLX (1590 AM) was an Americana radio station licensed to Marine City, Michigan, with a power output of 1,000 watts day and 102 watts at night. The station was owned by Radio First and broadcast from studios on Huron Avenue in Downtown Port Huron. Its programming was simulcast on FM translator W224DT, licensed to Port Huron at 92.7 MHz, with an effective radiated power of 125 watts. The station branded itself as Country, Rock, and Folk 92.7 WHLX The Hills. WHLX ceased broadcasting on 1590 AM and 92.7 FM on April 6, 2026, with the Americana format moving to a reinvented WPHM. The license was cancelled on April 13.

Port Lambton is an unincorporated community in St. Clair Township, Lambton County, Ontario, Canada. According to the latest census, 1084 people live within this community. In its early days, the village developed out of local transport and agricultural trade via rail and ship and evolved mainly into a summer resort community, serving seasonal residences and summer cottagers through much of its history. The village is now home to mostly permanent residences and commuters supported by larger cities and towns such as Sarnia and Wallaceburg. Every Civic Holiday weekend in August the town hosts its annual Gala Days. This community is served by two elementary schools, several churches, and a small service industry. The public school is Riverview Central School and the Catholic school is Sacred Heart. Until the mid-1980s Port Lambton served as a registered port of entry into Canada by utilizing a ferry crossing from nearby Roberts Landing, Michigan, and docking facilities on much of the village's waterfront. Following the ending of ferry operations at Port Lambton, the former port facility and Customs office located at the foot of Stoddard Street on the St. Clair River was transferred to the Department of Fisheries and Oceans. The federal government through the Canadian Coast Guard continues to operate the facility as a seasonal Inshore Rescue Boat Station.

Cottrellville Township is a civil township of St. Clair County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 3,406 at the 2020 Census.

Algonac State Park is a public recreation area covering 1,550 acres (630 ha) along the St. Clair River, two miles north of the city of Algonac in St. Clair County, Michigan, United States. The state park's half mile of river frontage offers a view of passing international freighters.
