Lebanon Borough School District

Lebanon is a borough in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 1,665, the highest ever in any decennial census and an increase of 307 (+22.6%) from the 2010 census count of 1,358, which in turn reflected an increase of 293 (+27.5%) from the 1,065 counted in the 2000 census.Lebanon was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 26, 1926, from portions of Clinton Township, based on the results of a referendum held on April 20, 1926. Additional portions of Clinton Township were annexed in 1962.The borough is located north of the Round Valley Reservoir. In the early part of the 19th century, before the separation of Clinton Township from Lebanon Township on April 12, 1841, the community was known as Jacksonville and later as Lebanonville, Lebanonville Depot and finally Lebanon, a station on the Central Railroad of New Jersey. The center of Lebanon has changed little in the past century. The Dutch Reformed Church is one of the oldest congregations in the County. Records of the church begin in 1769, however, the church is cited as early as 1747. The Lebanon Historic District was listed on the state and national registers of historic places in 2009.

PRR 4877, formerly nicknamed "Big Red", is a GG1-class electric locomotive owned by the United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey. It is stored at the West Boonton Yard in Boonton, New Jersey, United States. It is fully cosmetically restored to its original appearance.

Lebanon is a NJ Transit railroad station on the Raritan Valley Line in Lebanon, New Jersey. There is a station building on the north side of the tracks. It was designed in 1899 by New York City architect Bradford Gilbert for the Central Railroad of New Jersey. The southern track is no longer in use and the stop has no weekend service. The station was purchased by the town in 1978.

The Clinton Township School District is a comprehensive community public school district that serves children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade in Clinton Township, in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.As of the 2021–22 school year, the district, comprised of three schools, had an enrollment of 1,199 students and 134.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 8.9:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide, ostensibly to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.Public school students in ninth through twelfth grades attend North Hunterdon High School in Annandale, which also serves students from Bethlehem Township, Clinton Town, Franklin Township, Lebanon Borough and Union Township. As of the 2021–22 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 1,358 students and 119.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.4:1. The school is part of the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District, which also includes students from Califon, Glen Gardner, Hampton, High Bridge, Lebanon Township and Tewksbury Township, who attend Voorhees High School in Lebanon Township.

The Bray–Hoffman House is a historic Federal style brick house located at 39 Sand Hill Road near the community of Annandale in Clinton Township of Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. Built around 1800 by John Bray, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 25, 1973, for its significance in architecture and military history. The two and one-half story house has a gambrel roof. The brickwork on the east and north sides uses Flemish bond, the other sides use English bond. According to the nomination form, it is the third oldest brick house in the county. John Bray is noted for fighting alongside his father and his son at the Battle of Monmouth during the American Revolutionary War.

The Round Valley Reservoir in Clinton Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States, was formed in 1960 when the New Jersey Water Authority constructed two large dams and flooded a large valley. The reservoir is named after the naturally formed circular valley surrounded by Cushetunk Mountain. The deep valley was caused by erosion of the soft sedimentary rock. The surrounding ridges of Cushetunk Mountain endure because they were underlaid with dense and durable volcanic rock diabase that cooled slowly under the surface of the Earth. The reservoir covers what used to be a farming community, with remains of a school and a church on the lake floor among other buildings.Reaching depths of 180 feet (55 m), this 2,350 acres (9.5 km2) reservoir is best known for its pristine clear blue waters. The reservoir contains 55 billion US gallons (210,000,000 m3) of water for use in central New Jersey, making it the largest in the state. Its water is distributed during times of drought via the nearby south branch of the Raritan River. The New Jersey Division of Wildlife (a department of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection) claims the reservoir is the southernmost body of water that contains naturally reproducing lake trout. This is one of only two lakes in New Jersey with lake trout, the other being Merrill Creek Reservoir in Warren County. Some of the other species of fish in the lake include bass, pickerel, catfish, american eel, yellow perch, brown trout, and rainbow trout. The park also has a wilderness area for camping, swimming and SCUBA diving facilities, a boat ramp and nature hiking and biking trails. The reservoir has been called the Bermuda Triangle of New Jersey, and over 26 people have drowned there since 1971. Six of them have never been found.

William H. Fauver Youth Correctional Facility (formerly known as Mountainview Youth Correctional Facility) is a New Jersey Department of Corrections state prison for young adult offenders ages 18-30, located in the Annandale section of Clinton Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. The present-day facility has a maximum capacity of 808 juvenile inmates.The grounds encompass "747 acres of rolling hills", first used by the state in 1913 for a farm facility for the mentally ill. It was redesignated as a corrections site for males between 16 and 26, "Annandale Farms", in 1929. From at least 2008, the prison has had a difficult history. Two inmates have been murdered inside in recent years (Carl J. Epps, Jr. in August 2010, and Joshua Jones in August 2012), amid a long litany of assaults, drugs offenses, and inappropriate romantic relationships.In February 2021 it was revealed that the prison would close in the coming year, as part of the state's $44.8 billion spending proposal.

Potterstown is an unincorporated community along the border of Clinton and Readington townships in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.

Clinton Township is a township in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 13,505, an increase of 27 (+0.2%) from the 2010 census count of 13,478, which in turn reflected an increase of 521 (+4.0%) from the 12,957 counted in the 2000 census.Clinton Township was incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 12, 1841, from portions of Lebanon Township, based on the results of a referendum held that same day. Portions of the township have been taken to form Clinton town (April 5, 1865, within the township; became independent in 1895), High Bridge township (March 29, 1871) and Lebanon borough (March 26, 1926). The township was named for Governor of New York DeWitt Clinton.

Cokesbury, historically known as Cokesburg, is an unincorporated community located on the border of Clinton and Tewksbury townships in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was named after two Methodist bishops, Coke and Asbury. The Cokesbury Historic District was listed on the state and national registers of historic places in 1997.

Cushetunk Mountain (formerly Mount Ployden and Pickel's Mountain occasionally Mount Cushetunk or Coshanton) is a ring shaped mountain in the U.S. state of New Jersey, located in Readington and Clinton Township in Hunterdon County. The Lenape Native Americans called the mountain "Cushetunk" meaning "place of hogs" after the wild hogs found there. In the 1960s, the valley at the heart of the mountain was dammed and filled with water to create Round Valley Reservoir. Today, the mountain and its accompanying lake act as a vital water supply to Central New Jersey, while at the same time providing numerous recreational opportunities to the region.

Annandale is the penultimate station heading westbound on New Jersey Transit's Raritan Valley Line, located in the Annandale section of Clinton Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. The station is located just off interchange 18 of Interstate 78 at the junction of Main Street and East Street. The final stop before High Bridge, it has one low-level side platform, with a shelter, 77 parking spaces and bicycle racks.Train service through Annandale came in 1852, when the Central Railroad of New Jersey constructed tracks through Clinton Township. Known as Clinton, the railroad had four locals move westward from White House to help build the new village in the area. For a short time, Annandale was the terminus of the line. The station opened on July 4, 1852 with passenger service to Easton, Pennsylvania. The first depot was replaced in 1900, with a new structure that caught fire in September 1934. The freight station at Annandale, constructed c. 1865, was razed in 1960.Service at the Annandale depot ended in October 1970, as the station agent there and at nearby Hampton were eliminated in favor of warming shelters for passengers, who were commuting as far as Allentown, Pennsylvania to use the station. The station depot constructed in 1934 was razed in 1983.
