Annandale station

Annandale is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Clinton Township, in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 1,695. The Annandale Historic District was listed on the state and national registers of historic places in 1994.

William H. Fauver Youth Correctional Facility (formerly known as Mountainview Youth Correctional Facility) is a New Jersey Department of Corrections state prison for young adult offenders ages 18-30, located in the Annandale section of Clinton Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. The present-day facility has a maximum capacity of 808 juvenile inmates.The grounds encompass "747 acres of rolling hills", first used by the state in 1913 for a farm facility for the mentally ill. It was redesignated as a corrections site for males between 16 and 26, "Annandale Farms", in 1929. From at least 2008, the prison has had a difficult history. Two inmates have been murdered inside in recent years (Carl J. Epps, Jr. in August 2010, and Joshua Jones in August 2012), amid a long litany of assaults, drugs offenses, and inappropriate romantic relationships.In February 2021 it was revealed that the prison would close in the coming year, as part of the state's $44.8 billion spending proposal.

North Hunterdon High School is a four-year regional public high school serving students from seven municipalities in northern Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is one of two high schools in the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District. The school serves students from Bethlehem Township, Clinton Township, Franklin Township, Lebanon Borough and Union Township; the school is located in the Annandale section of Clinton Township. Clinton Town and Glen Gardner residents can select either North Hunterdon or Vorhees High.The school is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,358 students and 119.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.4:1. There were 21 students (1.5% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 8 (0.6% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.The school's team nickname is the Lions and its mascot's name is Reggie, in recognition of the early days, when the school was known as Regional. In the 1968–69 school year, an actual lion cub was used as a mascot.

The North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District is a regional, four-year public high school district, that serves students in ninth through twelfth grades from twelve municipalities in northern Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. Students in the district are from Bethlehem Township, Califon Borough, Clinton Town, Clinton Township, Franklin Township, Glen Gardner Borough, Hampton Borough, High Bridge Borough, Lebanon Borough, Lebanon Township, Tewksbury Township and Union Township.As of the 2021–22 school year, the district, comprised of two schools, had an enrollment of 2,164 students and 195.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.1:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second-highest of eight groupings. Clinton Township is a township in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 13,505, an increase of 27 (+0.2%) from the 2010 census count of 13,478, which in turn reflected an increase of 521 (+4.0%) from the 12,957 counted in the 2000 census.Clinton Township was incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 12, 1841, from portions of Lebanon Township, based on the results of a referendum held that same day. Portions of the township have been taken to form Clinton town (April 5, 1865, within the township; became independent in 1895), High Bridge township (March 29, 1871) and Lebanon borough (March 26, 1926). The township was named for Governor of New York DeWitt Clinton.

Christoffel Vought Farmstead, commonly known as the 1759 Vought House, is located near Annandale in Clinton Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. Built in 1759, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 16, 2008, for its significance in agriculture, archaeology, architecture, exploration/settlement and military history. The building is on Preservation New Jersey's 2010 10 Most Endangered Historic Sites list. The building is located on the grounds of the Clinton Township Middle School and is owned by the Clinton Township Board of Education.

The Bray–Hoffman House is a historic Federal style brick house located at 39 Sand Hill Road near the community of Annandale in Clinton Township of Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. Built around 1800 by John Bray, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 25, 1973, for its significance in architecture and military history. The two and one-half story house has a gambrel roof. The brickwork on the east and north sides uses Flemish bond, the other sides use English bond. According to the nomination form, it is the third oldest brick house in the county. John Bray is noted for fighting alongside his father and his son at the Battle of Monmouth during the American Revolutionary War.

The High Bridge School District is a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from High Bridge, in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprised of two schools, had an enrollment of 370 students and 38.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.7:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "GH", the third-highest of eight groupings. The school is part of the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District, which also includes students from Bethlehem Township, Clinton Town, Clinton Township, Franklin Township, Lebanon Borough and Union Township who attend North Hunterdon High School in Annandale.

High Bridge is a borough in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 3,546, a decrease of 102 (−2.8%) from the 2010 census count of 3,648, which in turn reflected a decline of 128 (−3.4%) from the 3,776 counted in the 2000 census.

High Bridge is a railway station in High Bridge, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. The station is the western terminus of the New Jersey Transit's Raritan Valley Line. The next station eastward is Annandale. The parking lot for the station is located one block to the west. The station only uses the southern track for inbound and outbound trains. The former Central Railroad of New Jersey station house, constructed in 1913, is currently used for storage and there is a covered waiting area under the building canopy. This station has no weekend service. The railroad, and the moniker of High Bridge, was constructed in 1852 through the valley. Despite causing a boom to a local iron works, the railroad did not establish a station in the area until 1856. Until 1983, Raritan Valley service continued westward to Phillipsburg. Limited service and low ridership led NJ Transit to discontinue all service west of High Bridge. Since service ended, there have been repeated investigations and requests for daily service to be extended back to Phillipsburg.

High Bridge Reformed Church is a historic church located at Church Street and County Route 513 in High Bridge in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The church, built in 1870, is part of the Reformed Church in America. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 21, 1980, for its significance in architecture and religion.

The Clinton-Glen Gardner School District is a community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from the Town of Clinton and the Borough of Glen Gardner, in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Before Glen Gardner, a non-operating district, was consolidated into the district, students from the borough had attended the district's school as part of a sending/receiving relationship. Other students attend the school on a tuition basis. Formerly known as the Town of Clinton School District, the district's board of education voted in November 2009 to revise the name to Clinton-Glen Gardner School District to reflect the merger.As of the 2021–22 school year, the district, comprised of one school, had an enrollment of 427 students and 38.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.1:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second-highest of eight groupings.
