Atlantic LNG

Techier is a community in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. It is located in south-western Trinidad and is administered by the Point Fortin Borough Corporation.

Point Fortin, officially the Republic Borough of Point Fortin, the smallest Borough in Trinidad and Tobago is located in southwestern Trinidad, about 32 km (20 mi) southwest of San Fernando, in the historic county of Saint Patrick. After the discovery of petroleum in the area in 1906 the town grew into a major oil-producing centre. The town grew with the oil industry between the 1940s and 1980s, culminating in its elevation to borough status in 1980. After the end of the oil boom Point Fortin was hit hard by economic recession in the 1980s and the closure of its oil refinery. Construction of a Liquefied Natural Gas plant by Atlantic LNG in late 1990s boosted the economy.

The Pitch Lake is the largest natural deposit of asphalt in the world, estimated to contain 10 million tons. It is located in La Brea in southwest Trinidad, within the Siparia Regional Corporation. The lake covers about 100 acres (0.405 square kilometres) and is reported to be 250 feet (76.2 metres) deep.Pitch Lake is a popular tourist attraction, including a small museum, from where official tour guides can escort people across the lake. The lake is mined for asphalt by Lake Asphalt of Trinidad and Tobago.

Buenos Ayres is a town in Trinidad and Tobago. It is located in southwestern Trinidad, north of Erin and southeast of Point Fortin. Buenos Ayres is the hometown of the calypsonian Cro Cro. The Erin Savannas, one of the last remaining natural savannas in Trinidad and Tobago is located just east of Buenos Ayres.

The Lizard Springs Formation is a geologic formation in Trinidad and Tobago. It preserves fossils dating back to the Paleocene to Early Eocene period.

The Morne l'Enfer Formation is a geologic formation in Trinidad and Tobago. It preserves fossils dating back to the Miocene to Early Pliocene period.

South Oropouche is a community in Trinidad and Tobago. It is at sea level. There is an archaeological site at St John's Road, South Oropouche. Dow Village is in South Oropouche.

Dow Village is a village located within the borders of California, Couva in the region of Couva–Tabaquite–Talparo in Trinidad and Tobago. It is famous for its annual play based on the Ramayana called Ramleela. This live play chronicles the activity of Lord Rama (an incarnation of the Hindu God Vishnu) as he rescues his wife, Sita, from the clutches of Ravana. Dow Village is also known for the lighting of clay pots called deyas on Divali day. The diyas are lit along the street in bamboo arches. There is also a very old masjid and several churches, in addition to a mandir. It borders Esperanza Village. The village is sandwiched between the heavily industrialized Point Lisas Industrial estate and the now defunct Caroni (1975) Limited Brechin Castle Sugar Factory. The sugar factory was the source of the employment of many of the original inhabitants.

The Cipero Marl is a geologic formation in Trinidad and Tobago. It preserves fossils dating back to the Early Oligocene to Burdigalian period.

St. Benedict's College is a secondary school located in La Romaine, Trinidad and Tobago. The school was founded by Dom Basil Matthews and first opened on September 11, 1956.

The San Fernando Formation is a geologic formation in Trinidad and Tobago. The open marine claystones preserve fossils dating back to the Oligocene period.

The Soldado Formation is a geologic formation in Trinidad and Tobago. It preserves fossils dating back to the Thanetian to Bartonian period.
