It was built about 1828, and is a one-story, log structure measuring 18 feet, 6 inches, by 16 feet, 6 inches. It has a gable roof and exterior end chimney. It is typical of cabins built during this period. The building is owned by the Sheridan Historical Society and located in the Sheridan's Veterans Park.: 5, 7 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Thistlethwaite Building (1886), Carnegie library, First Christian Church (1910-1911), Higbee Buggy Company, American State Bank (1914), Stanley Brothers Building (c. 1895), Slliot's Drugstore (c. 1913), Indiana Telephone Company building (c. 1910), and U.S. Post Office (1939-1940).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
