Sunapee is a town in Sullivan County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 3,342 at the 2020 census. The town is home to part of Lake Sunapee and includes the village of Georges Mills.

Sunapee Middle–High School is a high school and middle school located in Sunapee, New Hampshire, United States. Established in 1974, the school had approximately 136 students in grades 9–12 and 109 students in grades 6–8 during the 2009–10 school year. There are approximately 37 staff and faculty members. They have Varsity and Junior Varsity baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, as well as track, golf and soccer teams, called the Sunapee Lakers. Winter sports include Alpine and Cross-country skiing, as well as ski jumping. SMHS has an unfunded, but comprehensive drama program, producing plays such Footloose, Godspell and Alice in Wonderland. Some of the clubs and groups within the school are the Art Club, French Club, Harvard Model Congress, National Honors Society, Mock trial, Chess Club, Writers' group, Athletic Leadership council, and various student government groups. There is a Middle and High School band and chorus, which performs in the winter and spring of each year, as well as at the senior graduation.

Georges Mills is an unincorporated community in the town of Sunapee in Sullivan County, New Hampshire, in the United States. It is located in the northeast corner of the town between the north end of Lake Sunapee and the south shore of Otter Pond. New Hampshire Route 11 runs through the village, leading east to New London and south to the center of Sunapee. It is also served by exit 12A on Interstate 89, 0.5 miles (0.8 km) north of the village. Georges Mills has a separate ZIP code (03751) from the rest of the town of Sunapee.

Lake Sunapee is located within Sullivan County and Merrimack County in western New Hampshire, the United States. It is the fifth-largest lake located entirely in New Hampshire. The lake is approximately 8.1 miles (13.0 km) long (north-south) and from 0.5 to 2.5 miles (0.8 to 4.0 km) wide (east-west), covering 6.5 square miles (17 km2), with a maximum depth of 105 feet (32 m). It contains eleven islands (Loon Island, Elizabeth Island, Twin Islands, Great Island, Minute Island, Little Island, Star Island, Emerald Island, Isle of Pines and Penny Island) and is indented by several peninsulas and lake fingers, a combination which yields a total shoreline of some 70 miles (110 km). There are seven sandy beach areas including Mount Sunapee State Park beach; some with restricted town access. There are six boat ramps to access the lake at Sunapee Harbor, Georges Mills, Newbury, Mount Sunapee State Park, Burkehaven Marina, and a private marina. The lake contains three lighthouses on the National Register of Historic Places. The driving distance around the lake is 25 miles (40 km) with many miles of lake water view. The lake is 1,093 feet (333 m) above sea level. The lake's outlet is in Sunapee Harbor, the headway for the Sugar River, which flows west through Newport and Claremont to the Connecticut River and then to the Atlantic Ocean. The lake discharges about 250 cubic feet per second (on average), and the Sugar River drops approximately 800 feet (240 m) on its 27-mile (43 km) journey to the Connecticut River.

Mud Pond, also known as Mud Lake, is a lake located near Sunapee in Sullivan County within the U.S. state of New Hampshire.

Guild (pronounced ) is an unincorporated community in the town of Newport in Sullivan County, New Hampshire, in the United States. It is located near the eastern boundary of Newport, along New Hampshire Routes 11 and 103. Route 11 proceeds east to Sunapee and New London, while Route 103 travels southeast to Newbury, Bradford, and Warner. Both routes travel west to the center of Newport and on to Claremont. The village is located along the Sugar River. Guild has a separate ZIP code (03754) from the rest of the town of Newport.

The Fells, also known as the Hay Estate, was originally the summer home of John Milton Hay, a 19th-century American statesman. It is located in Newbury, New Hampshire, on New Hampshire Route 103A, 2.2 mi (3.5 km) north of its junction with New Hampshire Route 103.

The Williamson House is a historic house on Messer Road in Goshen, New Hampshire. Built about 1850, it is one of a cluster of plank-frame houses in the town, and is unusual in that group for its framing style. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Knights-Morey House is a historic house on Province Road in Goshen, New Hampshire. Built about 1830, it is one of a regionally distinctive cluster of plank-frame house, with a number of features unusual within that cluster. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Little Sunapee Lake (or "Little Lake Sunapee", a frequent local usage) is a 486-acre (197 ha) water body located primarily in Merrimack County in central New Hampshire, United States, in the town of New London. A small portion of the lake crosses into neighboring Springfield in Sullivan County. The lake is sometimes referred to as "Twin Lakes" due to a long, narrow peninsula which nearly cuts the lake in half. Water flowing out of the lake passes through Goose Pond and Otter Pond before entering Lake Sunapee. Bucklin Beach is a Town of New London recreation area at the east end of the lake. The lake is classified as a warmwater fishery and contains rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, chain pickerel, and horned pout.
