Munster High School (MHS) is a public high school in Munster, Indiana. It is part of the School Town of Munster. Munster High School serves as the only high school for the Munster School District.

The School Town of Munster is the school district that serves the town of Munster, Indiana. There are three elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school. There is also an early childhood educational center. Known for its excellence, all of the schools in this district are blue ribbon and four star rated schools. Munster High School, the district's only high school, is one of seven Indiana schools included in the Newsweek's 2006 Top Schools list at number 1,134. The school also made the list in 2008 (1257) and in 2010 (1151).

Stallbohm Barn-Kaske House, also known as Bieker Woods and Heritage Park, is a historic home and English barn located at Munster, Lake County, Indiana. The house was built in 1909, and is a two-story, American Foursquare frame dwelling. It has a jerkinhead roof and is sheathed in clapboard siding. The English barn was built about 1890, is a 1+1⁄2-story wood-frame building with horizontal siding on a brick foundation. The property is now a local public park.: 5–6 It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

Founded in 1991, Theatre at the Center is a year-round professional theater in Munster, Indiana, presenting a performing arts series, a children's theater program and serving as hosts for special programs that enhance cultural opportunities in Northwest Indiana. As part of the Ridgewood Arts Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit company, it is Northwest Indiana's only professional equity theater and is located 35 minutes from downtown Chicago.The mission of Ridgewood Arts Foundation, Inc.’s Theatre at the Center is to bring The Center for Visual and Performing Arts disciplines of the performing arts that are at once appealing, educational and accessible to the entire community.Theatre at the Center's main stage season offers five productions annually. Many of Theatre at the Center's productions have been recommended by the Jeff Awards, celebrating excellence in Chicago theatre. Theatre at the Center additionally offers Theatre for Young Audiences programming, presenting four productions annually.

The Calumet Shoreline is an ancient shoreline of Lake Michigan located in the Lake Michigan Basin. It can be clearly seen as a sand ridge along Ridge Road south of Chicago. Closer to the lake from the Calumet Shoreline, there are the Tolleston shorelines and farther from the lake are the Glenwood Shoreline, the Tinley Moraine, and the Valparaiso Moraine. The shoreline is named after the Calumet Region of Northern Indiana.

Ibach House is a historic home located at Munster, Lake County, Indiana. It was built in 1924, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, five bay, Colonial Revival style brick dwelling with a side-gable roof. It sits on a full basement of concrete block. It features a front portico supported by two Tuscan order columns and an attached sunroom.: 5–6 It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Munster Ridge Road is a planned South Shore Line rail station in Munster, Indiana. It is expected to open to revenue service in 2025. The station is located at Ridge Road and Manor Avenue adjacent to the Monon Trail.

Three Floyds Brewing is a brewery founded in 1996 by brothers Nick and Simon and their father Mike Floyd in Hammond, Indiana. Since 2000, the brewery has been located in Munster, Indiana. Three Floyds opened a brewpub adjacent to the brewery in 2005. They closed the brewpub in 2020.In 2011, an article in The Washington Post said that Three Floyds "has won over the beer geek elite", and "has been making the best beers on the planet for four of the past five years—at least according to the more than 1 million beer reviews logged each year on RateBeer.com. (In 2008, it slipped to second place.)"In 2018, Three Floyds cracked the top 50 list of Brewing companies by sales volume reaching the #39 spot in craft brewery sales and #49 spot in overall brewery sales.

Donald E. Gavit Jr./Sr. School (Gavit) was a public secondary school located in Hammond, Indiana. Part of the School City of Hammond district, it graduated its final class in the spring of 2021.

Munster/Dyer Main Street is a planned South Shore Line rail station located at the foot of Main Street on the border Munster and Dyer, Indiana. The station will be constructed adjacent to the CSX Monon Subdivision, but will utilize new tracks. Intended to serve as the southern terminus of the West Lake Corridor, it is expected to open to revenue service in 2025. Dyer Amtrak station is located about 1⁄2 mile (0.8 km) to the south.
