Port of Busan

Pusan Newport International Terminal (PNIT) is a new port constructed in Busan, in South Korea; it is a joint venture between PSA International and Hanjin.The port has three deepwater berths, 1.2 km of quay, and a capacity of 2 million TEU; it opened in March 2010.The port is positioning itself as a trans-pacific transshipment hub.

Naeho Naengmyeon (Korean: 내호냉면; Hanja: 內湖冷麵) is a historic restaurant in Uam-dong, Nam District, Busan, South Korea. It is named for and serves the cold noodle dish naengmyeon, but is reportedly most famous for its claim as being the first restaurant to serve milmyeon in South Korea. The restaurant is among the oldest active restaurants in South Korea, having been founded in 1919, during the Japanese colonial period. The restaurant was first founded in a small coastal village in what is now North Korea. In 1950, after the outbreak of the Korean War, the owning family fled to Busan as refugees. They reopened the business there in 1953. It has remained in the same location since then.

The National Memorial Museum of Forced Mobilization under Japanese Occupation (FoMo; Korean: 국립일제강제동원역사관; Hanja: 國立日帝强制動員歷史館) is a national history museum in Busan, South Korea. It first opened on December 10, 2015.It covers the Japanese colonial period (1910–1945), in particular when Koreans were forced to perform labor and moved to other places to support Japan. The museum was founded by the South Korean Ministry of the Interior and Safety, although jurisdiction was transferred to the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs in 2016.As of 2023, admission into the museum is free of charge. Its director is Park Cheolgyu.

The Korea National Maritime Museum (Korean: 국립해양박물관) is a Korean maritime museum and the third largest museum in the Republic of Korea. The museum was inaugurated on July 9, 2012, and is located in Dongsam-dong, Yeongdo-gu, Busan. The museum exhibits more than 12,000 maritime relics, including the ‘Joseon Missional Ship’ which is the largest replica in South Korea - half the size of the actual ship.

Yeongdo District (Korean: 영도구) is a gu (district) in Busan, South Korea. The gu itself is limited to Yeong-do (Yeong Island) located on the south edge of central Busan. It attained the status of gu in 1957.The Korea Maritime and Ocean University and the National Maritime Museum of Korea are located in Yeongdo-gu.

Kosin University is a private Christian university in Busan, South Korea. The name "Kosin" is derived from the name of a denomination of Presbyterian churches in Korea that had organized actions against the Empire of Japan. This university was established in 1946 at the end of Japanese rule in Korea.

The United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Korea (UNMCK; Korean: 재한유엔기념공원; RR: Jaehahn yuen ginyeomgongwon), located at Tanggok in the Nam District, City of Busan, Republic of Korea, is a burial ground for United Nations Command (UNC) casualties of the Korean War. It contains 2,300 graves and is the only United Nations cemetery in the world. Laid out over 14 hectares (35 acres), the graves are set out in 22 sites designated by the nationalities of the buried servicemembers.

Daeyeon High School is a high school in Nam-gu, Busan Metropolitan City, South Korea. It was established in 1988. The current principal is Kim Young Do (김영도). The school was established by edict of Yang Yong-chi on April 29, 1986, and opened its doors on March 5, 1988.
