Đống Đa Mound (Vietnamese: Gò Đống Đa) or Đống Đa Hill is a historic tumulus-like mound in the Đống Đa Park (Công viên Đống Đa), in the Đống Đa District, Hanoi, Vietnam.

Đống Đa (literally Banyan Heap; Vietnamese pronunciation:[ɗəwŋ˧˥ ɗaː˧˧]) is one of the four original urban districts (quận) of Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. It is bordered by Ba Đình to the north, Hoàn Kiếm to the northeast, Hai Bà Trưng to the east, Thanh Xuân to the south, and Cầu Giấy to the west. The district currently has 21 wards, covering a total area of 9.95 square kilometers. It is the most populous district in Hanoi. As of 2017, there were 420900 people residing in the district, the population density is 42302 inhabitants per square kilometer, 18 times higher than the overall density of Hanoi. Dong Da district is home to various enterprises and many of Vietnam's most prestigious universities such as Hanoi Medical University, Foreign Trade University, University of Transport and Communications, Thuyloi University. Dong Da district has a large number of monuments and relics, including Temple of Literature (Văn Miếu), a cultural symbol of the city. The district is also where the Battle of Ngọc Hồi-Đống Đa between Tây Sơn dynasty and the Qing dynasty, one of the greatest victories in Vietnamese military history, ended.

Hanoi Medical University (HMU, Vietnamese: Trường Đại học Y Hà Nội) is the oldest university of Vietnam and is located in Hanoi. HMU was founded in 1902 by French during the French colonisation under the name Indochina Medical College. The first headmaster of HMU was Alexandre Yersin who was the co-discoverer of the bacillus responsible for the bubonic plague or pest, which was renamed in his honour (Yersinia pestis).

The Vietnam People's Air Force Museum, Hanoi or Bảo Tàng Phòng Không - Không Quân is located on Truong Chinh Street in the Bach Mai District of Hanoi. The museum is on the edge of the disused Bach Mai Airfield. The museum tells the history of the Vietnam People's Air Force (VPAF) from its formation in 1954 through to the present day. There is a heavy emphasis on its role in the Second Indochina War and the Cambodian-Vietnamese War. The museum comprises one main building with displays on the history of the VPAF, biographies of VPAF aces, uniforms and flightsuits, aircraft weaponry and engines, items from downed US aircraft and the forward fuselage of a MiG-21. Outside is a static park with aircraft of the VPAF and the Republic of Vietnam Air Force.The museum is open Mon.-Thurs. and Sat.-Sun. from 08:00 to 11:00 and 13:00 to 16:00. Entry fee is 20,000 VND

Bach Mai Airfield (Vietnamese: Sân bay Bach Mai) is a disused military airport in Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi, Vietnam, located along modern-day Le Trong Tan street. It was constructed by the French in 1917 and used by French forces until 1954; along with Gia Lam Airbase, it was one of the major logistics bases supporting French operations at Dien Bien Phu. After 1954, it was used by the Vietnamese People's Air Force and served as their air defense command and control center during the Second Indochina War, playing a part in the Cambodian–Vietnamese War as well. It is now the site of the Vietnam People's Air Force Museum, where a number of period military aircraft are on display.

It is located at 1 Phuong Mai, Dong Da, Hanoi. Its staff include French and Vietnamese doctors.

Bach Mai Hospital is a multi-field medical facility in Hanoi and is considered one of the largest in Vietnam. The hospital was established in 1911 during the French colonial rule. It has played an important role in the health system of Vietnam and is one of three high specialized medical centers, specializing in internal medicine. It is a big center of cadres training and scientific research in the country. The hospital has 3,500 beds and 4,300 staff.During Nixon's Christmas bombing, Operation Linebacker II, on December 22, 1972, American bombs struck the hospital, obliterating the building and killing 28 hospital staff members and an unconfirmed number of patients. A special rehabilitation unit was opened in 1998 for treating adults and children with disabling conditions (stroke and cerebral palsy). The unit sponsored by Veterans for America has seen more than 1,700 patients and has fitted more than 2,100 plastic braces since its establishment. In 2000, Bach Mai Hospital was partly reconstructed and supplied with up-to-date facilities and equipment under a grant aid project of the Government of Japan. When SARS broke out in Vietnam in 2003, Bach Mai Hospital substantially contributed to putting it under control by providing strict nosocomial infection control, which was implemented by Japanese experts.There is a small speech therapy unit at the hospital, headed by Dr. Vu Thi Bich Hanh.In May 2008, a spinal unit with 25 patient beds was established with the help of Handicap International.
