Đống Đa Mound (Vietnamese: Gò Đống Đa) or Đống Đa Hill is a historic tumulus-like mound in the Đống Đa Park (Công viên Đống Đa), in the Đống Đa District, Hanoi, Vietnam.

Đống Đa (literally Banyan Heap; Vietnamese pronunciation:[ɗəwŋ˧˥ ɗaː˧˧]) is one of the four original urban districts (quận) of Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. It is bordered by Ba Đình to the north, Hoàn Kiếm to the northeast, Hai Bà Trưng to the east, Thanh Xuân to the south, and Cầu Giấy to the west. The district currently has 21 wards, covering a total area of 9.95 square kilometers. It is the most populous district in Hanoi. As of 2017, there were 420900 people residing in the district, the population density is 42302 inhabitants per square kilometer, 18 times higher than the overall density of Hanoi. Dong Da district is home to various enterprises and many of Vietnam's most prestigious universities such as Hanoi Medical University, Foreign Trade University, University of Transport and Communications, Thuyloi University. Dong Da district has a large number of monuments and relics, including Temple of Literature (Văn Miếu), a cultural symbol of the city. The district is also where the Battle of Ngọc Hồi-Đống Đa between Tây Sơn dynasty and the Qing dynasty, one of the greatest victories in Vietnamese military history, ended.

It was established in 1959 as the Electricity Water Resources Academy, spun off from the Hanoi University of Technology. Thuy Loi University has three campuses in Hanoi (main campus) with a large campus in Ho Chi Minh City and one in Phan Rang–Tháp Chàm, Ninh Thuận Province. The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in water resources management, dam construction, irrigation, flood control, environmental management, civil construction, and hydroelectricity.

Vietnam National Children's Hospital (VNCH) is a medical facility in Hanoi. Initially established in 1969 as Institute for the Protection of Children's Health. It was also known as Vietnam-Sweden Children’s Hospital, Olof Palme Pediatric Institute, and National Hospital of Pediatrics (NHP) before adopting its present name in 2016.The facility was designated to follow the model of pediatric department in Bach Mai Hospital of Hanoi and became the leading pediatric center in all Vietnam. The Hospital provide treatment in neurology, respiratory diseases, malnutrition, oncology, nephrology, endocrinology, hematology, cardiology, gastroenterology, surgery, neonatology, intensive care, emergency, infectious diseases, psychiatry, anaesthesiology, surgical recovery, traditional East Asian medicine, out-patient examination, physiotherapy rehabilitation. Each year VNCH organize services for nearly 40,000 in-patients and 350,000 out-patients and performs about 30,000 surgical operations. It also regularly conducts scientific research and training in pediatrics field. There is an active cooperation with international organizations and hospitals from other countries of the world, including Japan International Cooperation Agency, the Royal Children's Hospital of Melbourne, the TRAC (training and research collaboration Sweden-Vietnam, where Swedish universities work together with 3 Vietnamese partners),the Friendship Organization ICPH of Sweden, the American Veterans Association, REI association of the USA, Atlantic Philanthropies, Project Vietnam (based in United States), Dartmouth College, Samsung Medical center of Korea, Babino Gesú Hospital of Italia etc.

Foreign Trade University (FTU; Vietnamese: Trường Đại học Ngoại thương) is a public university established in 1960, located in Hanoi, Vietnam, with satellite campuses in Ho Chi Minh City and Quảng Ninh. FTU is regarded as one of the most prestigious universities in Vietnam, offering a wide range of business courses - from economics, business administration, and finance to economic law and business languages. The annual admission to FTU is the most competitive in Vietnam and applicants are required to have very high test scores. The core major of the university is International Business Economics, which attracts the most elite students in the country. Hanoi Medical University (HMU, Vietnamese: Trường Đại học Y Hà Nội) is the oldest university of Vietnam and is located in Hanoi. HMU was founded in 1902 by French during the French colonisation under the name Indochina Medical College. The first headmaster of HMU was Alexandre Yersin who was the co-discoverer of the bacillus responsible for the bubonic plague or pest, which was renamed in his honour (Yersinia pestis).
