The Niers (German pronunciation: [niːɐ̯s], Dutch: [niːrs]) is a river in Germany and The Netherlands, a right tributary of the river Maas (Meuse). Its wellspring is near Erkelenz, south of Mönchengladbach, in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany).

Beugen is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is part of the municipality of Land van Cuijk. Beugen is located along the Maas and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) south of Nijmegen.

Milsbeek is a village in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is a part of the municipality of Gennep, and lies about 14 km southeast of Nijmegen. The village was first mentioned in 1329 as Milsbeec, and is named after a brook.Milsbeek was home to 520 people in 1840. The former pottery was turned into a pottery museum in 2016, and has to last remaining wood oven of the Netherlands.

Heikant is a hamlet in the municipality of Mook en Middelaar, in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is located about 1 km north of Middelaar.

Gennep (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɣɛnəp] ) is a municipality and a city in upper southeastern Netherlands. It lies in the very northern part of the province of Limburg, 18 km south of Nijmegen. Furthermore, it lies on the right bank of the Meuse river, and south of the forest of the Klever Reichswald. The municipality of Gennep has 17,277 inhabitants (2014). The Niers river flows into the Meuse in Gennep.

Beugen en Rijkevoort is a former municipality in the Netherlands, in the province of North Brabant. It covered the villages of Beugen and Rijkevoort. The municipality existed until 1942, when Beugen became part of Boxmeer and Rijkevoort of Wanroij

Cuijk en Sint Agatha is a former municipality in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It covered the villages of Cuijk and Sint Agatha. On September 4, 1315, a document mentioned a kapel van Sint Agatha onder Kuycbrockele. The Crosier Monastery was founded around 1371. Sint Agatha functioned as an independent village, until it was added to the municipality of Cuijk in 1810, after which the municipality was called Cuijk en Sint Agatha. Cuijk en Sint Agatha merged in 1994 with Beers and Haps, to form the new municipality "Cuijk". Since 2022 Cuijk has been part of the new municipality of Land van Cuijk. The Monastery of Saint Agatha was founded around 1371. Many missionaries were trained in this monastery, which is the oldest inhabited monastery in the Netherlands.In June 2006, after a renovation of the monastery, some rooms were taken into use by the Erfgoedcentrum Nederlands Kloosterleven (EDK) (Heritage Centre for Dutch Monastic Life), which houses the heritage collections of many monastic communities. The Centre chiefly houses monastic archive documents, but also preserves and provides access to related books and artefacts. The Order of the Holy Cross themselves also house their heritage collections in Saint Agatha.

Boxmeer ([bɔksˈmeːr] ) is a town and former municipality in upper southeastern Netherlands. Boxmeer as a municipality incorporated the former municipality of Beugen en Rijkevoort and that of Vierlingsbeek. In Overloon is the Overloon War Museum. Boxmeer, Cuijk, Grave, Mill en Sint Hubert, and Sint Anthonis merged into the new municipality of Land van Cuijk on 1 January 2022.

Boxmeer Castle is an originally 13th century castle in Boxmeer, North-Brabant, Netherlands. It is situated on a former island in the Meuse.

Cuijk (Dutch pronunciation: [kœyk] (listen)) is a former municipality in upper southeastern Netherlands. Cuijk, Boxmeer, Grave, Mill en Sint Hubert, and Sint Anthonis merged into the new municipality of Land van Cuijk on 1 January 2022. The former municipality of Cuijk was established by combining the municipalities of Cuijk en Sint Agatha, Beers and Haps in 1994.

Rijkevoort is a church village with more than 1600 inhabitants. Until 1942, Rijkevoort together with Beugen formed the municipality of Beugen en Rijkevoort. This municipality was then split and Rijkevoort joined the municipality of Wanroij. Since the municipal reorganization of 1 January 1994, most of Rijkevoort belonged to the municipality of Boxmeer. The neighbourhood Rijkevoort-De Walsert was then added to the municipality of Sint Anthonis. Since 2022 Boxmeer and Sint Anthonis have been part of the new municipality of Land van Cuijk.
