The Mission district is an inner city neighbourhood of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, that originated as Notre Dame de la Paix, a Catholic mission, and was for a time the incorporated Village of Rouleauville. Mission is bordered by 4th Street SW with restaurants and shops, and it hosts the Lilac Festival in June. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 8 councillor. The community has an area redevelopment plan in place.

Parkhill/Stanley Park is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by Mission Road to the north, Macleod Trail to the east, Crescent Boulevard to the south and the Elbow River to the west. The Roxboro Park borders the community to the north and Stanley Park is established in the Elbow River valley. This is one of Calgary's oldest neighbourhoods, being established in 1910. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 9 councillor. The community has an area redevelopment plan in place.

Cliff Bungalow is an inner city residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. Centered along 5 Street SW, it is bordered by Elbow River to the south, by Uptown 17th Avenue to the north and by Fourth Street to the east. Cliff Bungalow was developed on land owned by the Canadian Pacific Railway in the 1870s. It was mainly populated by CPR employees, due to the convenient distance from the district to CPR headquarters and railyards. The area was gradually annexed to the City of Calgary between 1906 and 1912. Cliff Bungalow was established in 1907 although the name "Cliff Bungalow" would not be applied until the 1970s. It was re-zoned in 1935 to allow for denser residential buildings. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 8 councillor. The community has an area redevelopment plan in place.

Erlton is an inner city residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by the Elbow River to the north and west, by Spiller Road to the east and by Mission Road to the south. Macleod Trail bisects the neighbourhood from north to south. The neighbourhood is represented by the Erlton Community Association. Erlton was established in 1906. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 8 councillor. The community is served by the Erlton/Stampede station of the C-Train LRT system. The MNP Community & Sport Centre and Lindsay Park border the community to the north, and the Stampede Grounds are located immediately northwest.

Calgary-Elbow is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Canada. Its most recent MLA was Doug Schweitzer, who won the seat in the 2019 provincial election. Schweitzer stepped down on August 31, 2022 and the electoral district (often commonly referred to as “riding”) is currently unrepresented. The riding was created in 1971 from the southeast part of Calgary-Glenmore and the southwest Part of the old Calgary South riding. Includes the communities of: Altadore, Bel-Aire, Britannia, Elbow Park, Elboya, Erlton, Garrison Woods, Glamorgan, Lincoln Park, Mount Royal, Marda Loop, Mayfair, Meadowlark Park, North Glenmore, Parkhill, Rideau Park, Roxboro, South Calgary and Windsor Park.

St. Mary's Parish Hall is a historic sandstone building in the Mission District of Calgary. It was built in 1905 to be used as a Roman Catholic parish hall, but starting in 1913 was adaptively reused as a railway station by the Canadian Northern Railway (CNoR), during which time it was known as Calgary Southwest Railway Station. It was then operated as a railway station by the CNoR's successor, the Canadian National Railway (CN) until 1971. In 1981 the building was named a Provincial Historic Resource of Alberta. In 1985 a fire gutted most of the interior and it was restored in 1987.

St. Mary's High School is a secondary school in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is operated by the Calgary Catholic School District (CCSD). The school is well known in Calgary for its historical significance. It attracts significant numbers of students from throughout the city, even those closer to other Catholic high schools, who wish to take advantage of programs not offered in their local high school. Also, for some, it is a tradition to attend the same school as their parents and grandparents.

Western Canada High School is a public high school in Calgary, Alberta that has operated since 1929. The high school was antedated by Western Canada College, a boys' preparatory school in the style of a British public school that opened in 1903. The College existed until the end of the 1926 academic year when it closed due to financial problems. The Calgary Board of Education purchased the property that year, and by September 1929 completed a group of new school buildings on the site. From 1929 to 1935 academic and technical schools operated independently on the Western property, until which time they merged under a single administration. Western Canada is one of Calgary's oldest and most prestigious educational institutions. Given its proximity to the historic upper-class neighbourhoods of Mount Royal, Elbow Park, Roxboro, and Rideau Park, it has long been associated with the city's elite and establishment. Elbow Park is an affluent residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is one of the oldest and wealthiest communities in the city. It is bordered to the south and east by Elbow River, to the east by Elbow Drive, to the north by Council Way and to the west by 14 Street W. Elbow Park was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1907 and developed after 1910, when it was established as a neighbourhood. Beltline is a region of central Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The area is located immediately to the south of Calgary's downtown (south of 9th Avenue and the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks), and is sometimes considered part of downtown. The neighbourhood is bounded on the south by 17th Avenue, on the west by 14th Street West and on the east by the Elbow River. Beltline is one of Calgary's most densely populated neighbourhoods as well as the most urban, featuring many apartments, condominiums and offices. It has the reputation of being one of Calgary's primary areas for eclectic night-life, restaurants and urban culture.The first established district in the neighbourhood was Connaught in 1905, followed by Victoria Park in 1914. When the region and its redevelopment plan were formally established in 2003, it amalgamated the inner city neighbourhoods of Victoria Park and Connaught. The community is named for an early 20th-century streetcar route.
