Windsor Park, Calgary

Elboya is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by the Elbow River to the north, 4th Street SW / 45 Avenue SW / Macleod Trail to the east, 50 Avenue S to the south and Elbow Drive to the west. Stanley Park borders the community to the northeast. It was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1910, and was established as a neighbourhood in 1947, when most of the development occurred. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 11 councillor.

Chinook Centre (formally branded as "CF Chinook Centre") is the largest shopping mall in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is located near the geographic centre of the city on Macleod Trail, north of Glenmore Trail about 5 km (3.1 mi) south of downtown, and three blocks west of the Chinook C-Train station. The mall is operated by Cadillac Fairview. CF Chinook Centre covers (1,377,768 square feet (127,998.8 m2)) of space, and includes three major anchor stores (Hudson's Bay, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Avenue) and 250 stores and restaurants. As the largest shopping destination in Calgary, it offers a range of mid-priced retailers as well as higher-end offerings in a luxury wing anchored by Saks Fifth Avenue. Junior anchors include Sport Chek, H&M, Old Navy, and Chapters. The centre also includes a professional tower, bowling alley, 900-seat Dining Hall, and the 16-screen Scotiabank Theatre Chinook. The focal point of the mall is a four-storey-high rotunda, including a time capsule at the centre's axis, set to be opened on December 31, 2999.

Meadowlark Park is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located immediately west from the Chinook Centre, east of Elbow Drive and north of the Glenmore Trail. It is named for the Meadowlark bird. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 11 councillor.

South Calgary was a provincial electoral district in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta using the first past the post method of voting from 1913 to 1921.

Britannia is an affluent residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is bounded by Elbow Drive to the east, 50 Avenue S to the south, Elbow River and Riverdale Park to the west and Britannia Drive to the north. The area was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1910, and Britannia was established in 1956. Most of the development took place in the late 1950s. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 11 councillors.

Manchester is a residential neighborhood of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It straddles both the southeast and southwest quadrants of Calgary and neighbors the industrial community of Manchester Industrial to the east, south and north. Manchester is in Ward 9. The community is among one of Calgary's oldest, but has been one of the most affected by urban decay. Manchester is not to be confused with Manchester Industrial, an industrial and commercial community that surrounds Manchester. Manchester consists of mostly low-income housing and housing projects, with a significant portion of such being built in 2003 in the southern portion of the community. Manchester has the lowest income and highest percentage of residents classified as low-income of any Calgary community by a decent margin. Manchester additionally struggles with crime, urban blight, homelessness, and poverty.

Bel-Aire is a wealthy residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located east of the Glenmore Reservoir and the Elbow River and west of the community of Meadowlark Park and Chinook Center and north of the neighbourhood of Mayfair. The Calgary Country Club golf course makes up its northern boundary. Bel-Aire was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1954 and was established as a neighbourhood in 1960. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 11 councillor.

Chinook station is a CTrain light rail station in Manchester, Calgary, Alberta. The station opened on May 25, 1981, as part of the original South line on the Red Line. The station is located on the exclusive LRT right of way (adjacent to CPR ROW) at 61 Avenue SW, 5.7 km south of the City Hall Interlocking. It is a three-block walk from the Chinook Centre shopping centre. A 320-space parking facility is also available for park and ride commuters. The station consists of a center-loading platform with ramp access on the North end. Chinook is the only Public Transit Station named after a privately owned and operated business (the shopping mall) as there are no other landmarks or communities in the area with that title when the station opened in Calgary. Years later, Westbrook station opened and naming scheme like this station. As part of Calgary Transit's plan to operate four-car trains starting by the end of 2014, all three-car stations will need to be extended. Chinook Station however was completely rebuilt to a new design very similar to Somerset-Bridlewood, McKnight/Westwinds and Saddletowne Stations. Construction on the new bus terminal started in the summer of 2012. On January 14, 2013, the station and bus terminal closed for redevelopment and has re-opened on September 3, 2013. Bus service to Chinook passed through a temporary terminal at 3 Street SW with a bus shuttle connecting the terminal and the 39th Avenue CTrain station during the station's closure. In 2005, the station registered an average transit of 12,400 boardings per weekday.

CJLI (AM 700 The Light) is a Canadian radio station, that broadcasts a christian format at 700 kHz/AM in Calgary, Alberta. The station is licensed to broadcast at 50,000 watts during the day and 20,000 watts at night, with additional restrictions to protect Class A clear-channel stations WLW in Cincinnati, Ohio and KBYR in Anchorage, Alaska. Owned by Touch Canada Broadcasting, the station received CRTC approval on April 24, 2009. The station planned to broadcast from a transmitter site from the Black Diamond area southwest of Calgary, but was unable to secure a site, due to local opposition. In November 2013, the station acquired a site north of Black Diamond, in hopes of broadcasting from there.On June 29, 2015, Touch Canada Broadcasting launched CJLI, branded as AM 700, The Light.

Mayfair is a small residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded to the north by the community of Bel-Aire, to the east by Elbow Drive, to the south by Glenmore Trail and to the west by the Glenmore Reservoir. The land was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1956, and Mayfair was established one year later, in 1957. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 11 councillor.

Kingsland is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded to the north by Glenmore Trail, to the east by Macleod Trail, to the south by Heritage Drive and to the west by Elbow Drive. The area was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1956 and Kingsland was established in 1957. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 11 councillor.

Calgary-Elbow is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Canada. Its most recent MLA was Doug Schweitzer, who won the seat in the 2019 provincial election. Schweitzer stepped down on August 31, 2022 and the electoral district (often commonly referred to as “riding”) is currently unrepresented. The riding was created in 1971 from the southeast part of Calgary-Glenmore and the southwest Part of the old Calgary South riding. Includes the communities of: Altadore, Bel-Aire, Britannia, Elbow Park, Elboya, Erlton, Garrison Woods, Glamorgan, Lincoln Park, Mount Royal, Marda Loop, Mayfair, Meadowlark Park, North Glenmore, Parkhill, Rideau Park, Roxboro, South Calgary and Windsor Park.
