The Church of the Holy Family is attached to the service wing of Ince Blundell Hall, near the village of Ince Blundell, Sefton, Merseyside, England. It is both an estate church and an active Roman Catholic parish church in the Archdiocese of Liverpool. The church was built in 1858–60, it was designed by J. J. Scoles, and it contains paintings by Gebhard Flatz. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.

Ince Blundell Hall is a former country house near the village of Ince Blundell, in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, Merseyside, England. It was built between 1720 and 1750 for Robert Blundell, the lord of the manor, and was designed by Henry Sephton, a local mason-architect. Robert's son, Henry, was a collector of paintings and antiquities, and he built impressive structures in the grounds of the hall in which to house them. In the 19th century the estate passed to the Weld family. Thomas Weld Blundell modernised and expanded the house, and built an adjoining chapel. In the 1960s the house and estate were sold again, and have since been run as a nursing home by the Canonesses of St. Augustine of the Mercy of Jesus. The hall is Georgian in style, and consists of a main block with a service block linked at a right-angle to its rear. The hall is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. Some of the buildings associated with the hall are also designated at this grade; these are the Pantheon and the Garden Temple, both of which were built by Henry Blundell for his collection of statues, the chapel, and a building known as the Old Hall. In the garden and grounds of the hall are nine structures listed at Grade II; these include the stables, a monument, a sundial, gateways and a lodge, and the base of a medieval wayside cross.

St Mary's Church, Presbytery and Convent are in Back Lane, Little Crosby, Sefton, Merseyside, England. The church is an active Roman Catholic parish church in the diocese of Liverpool which was built in 1845–47. The presbytery and convent were both built in the 18th century, and altered in the 19th century. The convent originated as a chapel, and has since been converted into a private dwelling. Both the church and the former convent with its attached presbytery are recorded in the National Heritage List for England as designated Grade II listed buildings.

Crosby Hall is situated in the ancient manor of Little Crosby, formerly in Lancashire. Close to the city of Liverpool in the modern county of Merseyside, it is a Grade II* listed building.The existing hall was constructed circa 1785 in place of the previous Elizabethan manor house, some of which still remains. Almost square in layout it is a three-storey structure built of sandstone ashlar with a 3-span hipped roof of green slate.

Little Crosby is a small village in Merseyside, North West England. Despite being a suburb within 8 miles of Liverpool it has retained its rural character by, for example, opting not to have street lights. As part of Lancashire the village was an urban district in its own right until annexed to the Great Crosby urban district in 1932. This urban district was combined with other districts to form the municipal borough of Crosby in 1937. This in turn was absorbed into the new Metropolitan Borough of Sefton in 1974. The village is perhaps the oldest extant Roman Catholic village in England, the squires being the notable recusant Blundell family. The village character has changed little from a 17th-century description that "it had not a beggar, ... an alehouse ... Opposite the church is St. Mary's Roman Catholic School, a single storey 1960s building. The first school for the village was established by the Squire, William Blundell, at Boundary Cottage in 1843, next to the brook that then ran between Great Crosby and Little Crosby. In 1859 the school moved to a new building next to the presbytery of the church, opposite the current site. The current school building replaced that in 1964. The school takes pupils from the village and neighbouring villages of Hightown and Ince Blundell.

St Michael's Church of England High School (formerly known as Manor High School) is a secondary school and sixth form located in Crosby, Merseyside, England. The school's missionary statement is: We will ensure that each individual is valued and achieves success within a caring Christian community. Facilities at the school include five computer rooms (350 computers in total), 42 interactive whiteboards, a science department, a sports hall, a 3D learning center and a gym. There is also a sixth form for students wishing to study A-Levels.

Great Altcar is a village and civil parish in West Lancashire, England, close to Formby on the West Lancashire Coastal Plain. The population as taken at the 2011 census was 213. The name Altcar is Norse meaning "marsh by the Alt". The church of St Michael and All Angels is a timber framed structure dating from 1879. The area is now intensively farmed. An area called The Moss is situated to the north, and is characterized by drainage dykes. Altcar hosted hare coursing's Waterloo Cup from 1836 to 2005, originally with the patronage of William Philip Molyneux, 2nd Earl of Sefton. Altcar Training Camp, established in 1860, is actually in Hightown.

Moor Park is a residential area of Crosby in Merseyside. Initially developed in the early years of the twentieth century, it is situated on the northern side of Moor Lane, the main A565 road out of Crosby to the north, encompassing Moor Close, Moor Coppice and the northern tip of Forefield Lane. It includes the tree-lined Poplar Avenue, Elm Avenue and Chestnut Avenue, and the Tithebarn, a masonic residential home set in its own grounds. Chestnut Avenue, as its name suggests, is lined on both sides by many conker trees. At its northerly end is a public footpath, which leads between agricultural fields, and around the walls of Crosby Hall to Little Crosby. Moor Park is also home to the Northern Club, situated in Elm Avenue, who moved there in 1907 while the residential site was in its infancy. The club has continued to evolve, and has facilities for cricket, hockey, crown green bowling and squash.

St Michael and All Angels Church stands to the west of the village of Great Altcar, West Lancashire, England. The church is timber-framed and is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. It is an active Anglican parish church in the diocese of Liverpool, the archdeaconry of Liverpool and the deanery of Sefton. Its benefice is combined with that of Holy Trinity, Formby. In the Buildings of England series it is described as "an utterly charming church".

Downholland Brook is a 4.3-kilometre-long (2.7 mi) river (brook) in Merseyside, England, that is a tributary to the River Alt in the Alt catchment. Rising from Barton Brook in the Metropolitan Borough of Knowsley, the river flows a westerly course until reaching Moss Side, when it turns north towards Little Altcar in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton. There, it flows into the River Alt.
