Brennan & Carr is a roast beef sandwich shop in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn open since 1938. It appeared on Man v. Food (season 2).Their Roast Beef sandwich has been named one of the “23 Iconic Dishes to Try in New York” and is the city’s answer to “LA’s fabled French dipped sandwiches.”One of the signatures of Brennan & Carr is their beef broth, which consists of the leftover drippings from the oven-roasted beef, poured into a heated vat, and is then used as part of the sandwich-making process. Regular customers know of 3 separate varieties of broth to use with their ordered sandwich: The "Dingle-Dangle", which is just the beef of the sandwich dipped into the broth, leaving the roll dry; the "Double Dip", where the entire sandwich is dipped into the broth; and the "K.F.J.", or "Knife and Fork Job", where an entire ladleful of broth is poured onto the entire sandwich, making the result so messy, customers have to use a knife and fork to eat it.

Gerretsen's Mill is an 18th century tide mill, at Gravesend, Long Island, also known as Johannes Gerritsen's Mill and the Whitney mill, derived its name from a 1750s Dutch miller in the area of Marine park, Brooklyn. The mill was situated near what is now known as Garritson's Creek and Mill Pond, formerly referred to as the Strome Kil. The origin of the name can be traced back to historical references, including an Indian deed mentioning land belonging to Hugh Garretson, likely referring to the same location. The farm was parceled to Dutch settler Wolfert Gerritse van Couwenhoven (1 May 1579 – 1662),an original patentee, director of bouweries (farms), and a founder of the New Netherland colony. The three-hundred-year-old mill was destroyed by fire in 1935 by arson.

It is bounded by Ocean Parkway to the west; Avenue T and Kings Highway to the north; Nostrand Avenue and Gerritsen Avenue to the east; and the Atlantic Ocean to the south. The Leon M. Goldstein High School for the Sciences at Kingsborough Community College, CUNY, formerly Kingsborough High School for the Sciences at Kingsborough Community College, CUNY from 1993 to 1999) is a four-year high school (grades 9-12), located in Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn, New York. Leon M. Goldstein High School is screened-admission public school under the administration of the New York City Department of Education. LMGHS is located on the northern part of the campus of Kingsborough Community College of the City University of New York; it overlooks Sheepshead Bay. LMGHS was opened in September 1993 by Mayor David Dinkins and President of Kingsborough Community College Leon M. Goldstein. Goldstein supported the idea for starting a high school at Kingsborough Community College and the high school was later renamed in Goldstein's honor. The high school's first class graduated in June 1997. The high school has a partnership with Kingsborough Community College, and is able to use many of its facilities including the gymnasium, auditorium, and some laboratories. Like many high schools in New York City, LMGHS offers College Now programs and a Bridge Program, enabling high school students to take some college courses and earn college credits from CUNY.

The Waldbaum's Supermarket Fire was a major American fire on 2 August 1978 in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, New York that killed six FDNY firefighters. The Waldbaum's store at 2892 Ocean Avenue was undergoing extensive renovations, but was open for customers when the fire broke out.

Randazzo's Clam Bar is an Italian Restaurant, opened in 1959, in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. It was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy in 2012 but was able to reopen 6 months later.The restaurant appeared on Man v. Food (season 9) where host Casey Webb had the linguine with white clam sauce. Randazzo's was one of Anthony Bourdain's five favorite under-the-radar NYC restaurants. He is favorite dish is the lobster fra diavolo and he also enjoyed the chicken parmigiana, and broiled salmon. He said "portions that could have once fed an entire block on the Lower East Side."

Shore Boulevard Mall is a waterfront promenade extending for nearly a mile along the southern bank of Sheepshead Bay in the Manhattan Beach neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. Residential development began in the area in 1907, following the decline of local racetracks and hotels. Along the northern side of the Manhattan Beach peninsula, Shore Boulevard was constructed in 1907 in a manner resembling a parkway, with a wide shoulder along the water's edge containing rows of trees and a pedestrian path with benches overlooking Sheephead Bay.At the eastern tip of Manhattan Beach, Kingsborough Community College occupies the former site of a United States Coast Guard station; while the western end of Shore Boulevard contains Holocaust Memorial Park, which contains a monument completed in 1997 to commemorate victims of Nazi persecution. Between these two sites, the Ocean Avenue Footbridge connects Shore Boulevard Mall to mainland Brooklyn.

Lundy's Restaurant, also known as Lundy Brothers Restaurant, was an American seafood restaurant in the Sheepshead Bay neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City, along the bay of the same name. Lundy's was founded in 1926 by Irving Lundy as a restaurant on the waterfront of Sheepshead Bay; five years later, the original building was condemned to make way for a redevelopment of the bay. The present building opened in 1934 or 1935, and closed in 1979. Another restaurant operated in the Lundy's building from 1997 to early 2007, after which the building was converted into a shopping center. Lundy's, the last of the many seafood restaurants that once lined Sheepshead Bay, was well known for its cuisine and was among the largest restaurants in the United States upon its completion, with between 2,400 and 2,800 seats. At its peak, Lundy's served a million patrons annually. The building, designated by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission as an official city landmark, was designed by architects Bloch & Hesse in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. The building's distinguishing features include its multiple tiers of red-tile roofs, its leadlight windows, and decorative ironwork, a style of architecture that is used on few other buildings in the New York metropolitan area.
