National Wool Museum

Dre-fach Felindre is a village in Carmarthenshire, West Wales. It is located four miles south-east of Newcastle Emlyn. It lies at the confluence of three fast-flowing streams, the Nant Bargod, Nant Esgair and Nant Brân, where their steep-sided valleys open out into the Teifi Valley. In the 19th and early 20th century it was an important centre for the woollen industry and was given the epithet, "the Huddersfield of Wales". As the population increased, the villages of Dre-fach (Welsh language, small town) and Felindre (Welsh language, mill town) extended and merged to form the present community. The Museum of the Welsh Woollen Industry, now the National Woollen Museum, was opened in 1976 in the Cambrian Mill.

Capel Eidalwyr is a Roman Catholic chapel located on the site of a prisoner-of-war camp at Henllan, Ceredigion, Wales. The chapel was established in a former dormitory by Italian prisoners of war, and was decorated mainly by Mario Felito. Now disused, and in some disrepair, the chapel is a Grade II* listed building, described in its Cadw record as "an unique and unusually elaborate example".

Henllan is a village in Ceredigion, Wales. Henllan is situated along minor roads off the A484 Cardigan to Carmarthen road, some 3 miles (5 km) east of Newcastle Emlyn and now merges as a result of infill development with the small settlement of Trebedw. The settlement lies to the south of the Teifi Valley Railway amidst steep, attractive woodland areas (many of which are subject to Tree Preservation Orders) in the Teifi Valley. The name is Old Welsh, Hên-llan, meaning "old church-enclosure". Henllan comprises over 90 dwellings. It has a post office and local community facilities, is served by the new 'Super School' at Llandysul and by Newcastle Emlyn for other shops and services. The Welsh language is in every day use. Henllan is served by a bus route between Carmarthen and Newcastle Emlyn, serviced on a daily basis. Several enterprises are located in the settlement, including the old railway station at Henllan, which is the centre for the Vale of Teifi Railway Preservation Society, and an important tourist facility for the area. There used to be auction rooms where there is now a garden centre; and there is an artist's studio (Diane Matthias). In the settlement and to the south lies a former prisoner of war camp, which is currently used for light industrial and storage purposes. There is a Catholic chapel, Capel Eidalwyr, built by prisoners of war. To the southeast of the village at Pen-ffynnon on the A484 is the West Wales Museum of Childhood, displaying a collection of toys, many of which were made in Wales by companies that have closed, such as Corgi Toys.The walk from the bridge to Henllan Falls is owned by the National Trust

Henllan was a railway station near the village of Henllan, Ceredigion, West Wales, serving the hamlet and the rural locale.

The Teifi Valley Railway (Welsh: Rheilffordd Dyffryn Teifi) is a 2 ft (610 mm) narrow gauge railway occupying a section of the former standard gauge Great Western Railway line between Llandysul and Newcastle Emlyn. After the closure of the former line by British Rail in 1973, a preservation group built and periodically extended a narrow-gauge railway along the route, westwards from Henllan, eventually operating a 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) long line as a tourist attraction. In 2014, the railway closed and much of the track was lifted. It re-opened in 2016, running along about 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) of relaid track.

Llangeler () is a hamlet and community located in north Carmarthenshire, Wales. The name is believed to refer to St. Gelert. Llangeler parish covers a wide area including to the west, the textile village of Drefach Felindre, Waungilwen, Cwmpengraig and to the east, Pont Tyweli which adjoins Llandysul on the Carmarthenshire side of the River Teifi. The population of the parish was 3,222 at the Census of 2001, increasing to 3,427 at the 2011 census. The community is bordered by the communities of: Llanfihangel-ar-Arth; Cynwyl Elfed; Cenarth; and Newcastle Emlyn, all being in Carmarthenshire; and by Llandyfriog and Llandysul in Ceredigion.

Glyncaled is a hamlet in the community of Llandyfriog, Ceredigion, Wales, which is 64.8 miles (104.3 km) from Cardiff and 185.8 miles (299 km) from London. Glyncaled is represented in the Senedd by Elin Jones (Plaid Cymru) and is part of the Ceredigion constituency in the House of Commons.

The Llandyfriog transmitting station is a broadcasting and telecommunications facility located on high ground several kilometres east of the town of Newcastle Emlyn, Ceredigion, South Wales. It was built in 1980 to relay VHF radio and UHF television to Newcastle Emlyn and the area in general. The site has a 25 m self-standing lattice mast erected on land that is itself about 105 m above sea level and acts as an off-air television relay of Preseli, about 20 km to the west. Since Winter 1981 Llandyfriog has transmitted FM radio, acting as an off-air relay of Blaenplwyf about 50 km to the north. In Spring 1983 the radio services were upgraded to stereo. Currently, Llandyfriog transmitter provides DVB-T digital television to the area, along with FM radio.

Cwmpengraig is a rural hamlet in Carmarthenshire, Wales, located in the Teifi Valley approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) from the village of Dre-fach Felindre.

Aber-banc is a village in the Welsh county of Ceredigion. Aber-banc is situated on a sharp bend on the A475 approximately 4 miles east of Newcastle Emlyn. Nant Gwylan and the River Cwerchyr join the River Cynllo here and there are a number of Tree Preservation Orders along the north eastern bank of the River Cynllo. The historic core of the settlement consists of distinctive, stone-built individual and terraced properties. More recent development forms an elongated cluster on the hill rising westwards out of the valley along the A475. The settlement comprises over 25 dwellings. The Methodist Chapel is a listed building. In 1848, a co-educational national school was built, which had an average attendance of 68 in 1904. The settlement has a primary school which serves adjacent communities at Penrhiw-llan and Henllan. The school was closed in 2016 due to opening of new super school in Llandysul. The Welsh language is in every day use. Aber-banc relies for both every day and major facilities on Newcastle Emlyn, and lies on a bus route serviced on Tuesday only between Llandysul and Newcastle Emlyn.
