The Tampa Street Circuit was a temporary street circuit located in Tampa, Florida, which hosted IMSA GT Championship races between 1989 and 1990.

The Florida State Fair is held annually at the Florida State Fairgrounds in East Lake-Orient Park, Florida. The official state fair of Florida, it includes indoor and outdoor exhibits, rides and shows. It is a chance for the state to showcase its agricultural industry. The Fair also offers competitions and food oddities such as chocolate covered bacon & Buffalo chicken chimichanga. The annual event is usually held in February and typically lasts for 11 days. It is the first state fair to be held in the United States each calendar year.

The Bob Thomas Equestrian Center is an equestrian center located on the Florida State Fairgrounds in East Lake-Orient Park, Florida. The center "includes exercise grounds, warm-up rings, two show rings, and a grand prix ring." In addition, the center has a "9,000 square foot indoor pavilion" that "can accommodate exhibitor banquet and festival seating overlooking the show rings, all in a climate-controlled environment." There's also 471 permanent stalls in five barns, plus plenty of parking and a full-service restaurant. Bob Thomas and his friend Olin Mott raised the money to build the facility.

Expo Hall is an indoor arena located at the Florida State Fairgrounds in East Lake-Orient Park, Florida. It is used primarily as an exhibition hall during the Florida State Fair, but has also hosted concerts and sporting events. The South Florida Bulls men's basketball team used Expo Hall as their main home arena for the 1979–80 season before the on campus USF Sun Dome opened. The Tampa Bay Rowdies of the defunct North American Soccer League used Expo Hall for 8 of their 16 home games during the 1983–84 indoor season. At that time the arena's capacity was 9,200. This would also prove to be the league's final indoor campaign before suspending operations following the 1984 outdoor season.The arena was more famously used by the National Hockey League's Tampa Bay Lightning during the team's inaugural season of 1992-1993. The facility's seating capacity of 10,425 proved too small for the Lightning, and the team relocated to the ThunderDome in St. Petersburg for three seasons, until their permanent home, Amalie Arena, was built in downtown Tampa. In 1994 the expansion Tampa Bay Tritons of Roller Hockey International played for one season at Expo Hall before folding. Mark Messier was the owner of the club.The facility currently hosts graduation ceremonies for Hillsborough County's public high schools. Noteworthy entertainers to perform in concert at Expo Hall include Robert Plant, REO Speedwagon, Cheap Trick, No Doubt, Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, Peter Frampton, Stone Temple Pilots, Yes, George Michael, Santana, Beastie Boys, Alabama, Motörhead, and The Smashing Pumpkins.

The Confederate Memorial Park is a monument located in Tampa, Florida. The monument, which stands close to the intersection of I-4 and I-75, featured a large Confederate battle flag, which can be seen from the intersection.

The MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre (originally Ford Amphitheatre and formerly 1-800-ASK-GARY Amphitheatre and Live Nation Amphitheatre) is an outdoor amphitheatre in East Lake-Orient Park, Florida. The venue is located on the Florida State Fairgrounds, adjacent to Interstate 4, in the eastern side of town. The Ice Sports Forum is the official practice facility of the National Hockey League's Tampa Bay Lightning, who won the Stanley Cup in 2004, 2020, 2021. The facility contains two NHL regulation rinks and a state-of-the-art laser tag arena. It is located in Brandon, Florida. The ISF opened in the fall of 1997. Apart from hosting many figure skating and high school hockey events, the Ice Sports Forum is also home to the USF Ice Bulls, an ACHA Division III hockey club. In 2001, the forum's No Bull adult ice hockey team won the USA Hockey Adult 30+ National Championship. A picture of the team can be found on practically every wall, a practice facilitated by the Hockey Director John Finnie. Finnie, as the locals call him, boasted a 5.98 GAA through 10 seasons as a bottom half back-up goaltender. On June 29, 2017, the Tampa Bay Lightning announced that Lightning owner and chairman Jeff Vinik will invest $6 million in the Ice Sports Forum to create a brand new locker room and training facilities for the team. The Ice Sports Forum will also be investing $500,000 into the project. The expansion will be an 18,000-square foot addition. This is an increase over the current 5,500-square foot facility there. The expansion is also larger than the facility at Amalie Arena, which is approximately 14,500 square feet. The new addition will feature all team spaces including locker room, weight room, training room, dedicated press room, and expanded player lounge and more. It also will feature amenities that are not currently available at the team's arena, including hydrotherapy facilities and a video room/theater. The upgrades will be adding a new rink dasher system for the North Rink. The team also announced that it had signed a new lease agreement with the Ice Sports Forum for 10-years, which will run through the 2026–27 season.

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa is a gaming complex and hotel that opened in 2004. It is located on the Tampa Reservation off of Interstate 4, just east of Tampa, Florida. The 190,000 square foot casino has been expanded multiple times since its opening. It is a 24-hour venue that permits smoking indoors. It includes many displays of rock and roll memorabilia, such as clothing and musical instruments. Rock videos and music play on multiple screens, including one displayed inside a waterfall. Many song lyrics are displayed on the walls. Among its many services are a food court and tour bus parking. Special membership cards entitled "Seminole Wild Cards" allow points accumulated by gambling to be redeemed for retail discounts, gambling playing credits, and other discounts and promotions.

Tampa Executive Airport (ICAO: KVDF, FAA LID: VDF), formerly known as Vandenberg Airport, is located in unincorporated Hillsborough County, Florida, six nautical miles (11 km) east of the central business district of Tampa. VDF covers 411 acres (166 ha) of land.The airport was renamed in January 2009 in order to better identify the facility with the Tampa Bay area, and to lessen confusion with Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.It is a general aviation airport servicing the downtown Tampa business traffic, as it is only 15 minutes from the heart of Tampa. Tampa Executive has two runways, one 3,264 feet and the other 5,000 feet. Tampa Executive is operated by Skyport Aviation, which is the only fixed-base operator on the field providing fuel and other services to general aviation aircraft. The airport is located near the intersection of I-4 and I-75. The airport is open 7:00 A.M. - 10:00 P.M. Monday- Friday and 7:00 A.M. -7:00 P.M. Saturday and Sunday, and after-hours service is available upon request. The airport's original name was Vandenberg Airport. Jules Vandenberghe immigrated to this country from Belgium, and started a vegetable farm at this location. His two sons, Julian and George, later learned to fly and decided to put in an airstrip on their father's farm. Son George took the airport development seriously, and grew the field into one of the most popular and busiest general aviation airports in Florida. Many pilots learned to fly there from Eddie Vandenberghe, George's son. Quite a few private aviation service businesses started and flourished there, including: Sun State Aviation, Gulf Coast Avionics, Jefferies Aviation, Baker Aircraft Service, Dodge Aviation, Hawk Aircraft Refinishing, and more. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department Aviation unit has been based there for over 40 years.
