Butler National Golf Club is a private golf club located in Oak Brook, Illinois.

The Graue Mill is a water-powered grist mill that was originally erected in 1852. Now a museum, it is one of two operating water-powered gristmills in Illinois (the other is the Franklin Creek Grist Mill). It is located on Salt Creek in Oak Brook, Illinois, owned by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County and operated by a nonprofit preservationist group.

Butler School is a historic building in Oak Brook, Illinois. Frank Osgood Butler donated the land for the two-room schoolhouse in the late 1910s. The building became a meeting place for locals, and hosted the first club to use the term "Oak Brook" to refer to the surrounding settlement. The former school was briefly used as the village hall, police station, and library, until new buildings were constructed for those purposes in the 1970s. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

Fullersburg is a former village in Downers Grove Township and York Township, DuPage County, Illinois near the Cook County border. Though never incorporated in its own name, the area is historically important to the development of Hinsdale and Oak Brook, Illinois.The area was originally called Brush Hill and was claimed by Orente Grant when the Indian land in Illinois was ceded to the United States government in the 1833 Treaty of Chicago. Benjamin Fuller, of Broome County, New York, arrived in 1835 with his parents Jacob and Candace Fuller and some other relatives, and settled at Ginger Creek at what later became Spring Road in Oak Brook. Ben Fuller built a house in 1840 on what is now York Road. (By 1985, this Fuller House had moved into the Fullersburg Woods Forest Preserve from its original location.) By 1851, he owned most of the area, and in 1851 subdivided and platted; the name changed from Brush Hill to Fullersburg.

The Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art is a museum dedicated to the lapidary arts with displays of gemstones, jewelry and bejeweled objects, and exhibits on earth science. The museum was founded in Elmhurst, Illinois, United States, in 1962, but moved to Oak Brook, Illinois in 2019.

Mammoth Spring: 46  or Mammoth Springs is a water spring in York Township, DuPage County, Illinois, United States. It was used from 1861 to the early 20th century; the spot is now on the property of the DoubleTree hotel in Oak Brook near Elmhurst, Illinois.It opened suddenly in 1861 on the Talmadge family farm, and was used until 1889 for irrigation. Around 1874, Mammoth Spring was described as "located in the highway, between lands owned by G.H. Talmadge and Robert Reed": VI  and a drawing of the George H. Talmage farm, with a portion of the spring shown and labeled, appears in the same book.: 46  The road is named Spring Road because of the wooden conduit extended along it from the spring; a wooden conduit was constructed in 1889, and from 1889 to 1916, before being depleted, the spring supplied all of the water for nearby Elmhurst (including supplying the source water for the Elmhurst Spring Water Company) and some of the water for Oak Brook (including supplying the source water for the Mammoth Spring Ice Company).Eventually artificial ice replaced natural ice, after which the Mammoth Spring Ice Company was sold in 1910. The City of Elmhurst took over the water supply from the Elmhurst Spring Water Company in 1916, and drilled its own wells as well; Mammoth Spring was abandoned as a water source for Elmhurst sometime between 1918 and 1927. The spring's original trough was destroyed when Spring Road was widened in 1979.

Highlands station is one of three commuter railroad stations along Metra's BNSF Line in Hinsdale, Illinois. The station is 16.3 miles (26.2 km) from Union Station, the east end of the line. As of 2018, Highlands is the 163rd busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 202 weekday boardings. While Metra give the address as "1/4 mile north of the Intersection of County Line Road & 47th Street," it is actually opposite the corner of County Line Road and Highland Road. Parking is available at the station, as well as across the tracks on the south side of Hillgrove Avenue between Oak Street and County Line Road. The station is a small stone-faced structure used only during rush hour and is near Hinsdale Hospital, and three local parks, Highland Park, Veeck Park, and Pierce Park. There are no connections to buses at this stop.

Oakbrook Center is a shopping center located near Interstate 88 and Route 83 in Oak Brook, Illinois. It was originally opened in 1962. It is the second largest shopping center in the Chicago metropolitan area by gross leasable area, only surpassed by Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois. Current anchor stores include Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Macy's. The upscale stores featured at the mall are a collection slightly beneath the boutique-style, exorbitant stores at malls such as South Coast Plaza in Orange County, California, and the traditional mix of mall stores found at other larger malls like Woodfield Mall and the Mall of America.

Hinsdale is one of three stations on Metra's BNSF Line in Hinsdale, Illinois, and the only one open daily (the other two are only served during rush hours). The station is 16.9 miles (27.2 km) from Union Station, the east end of the line. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Hinsdale is in zone D. As of 2018, Hinsdale is the 35th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 1,155 weekday boardings. There is a historic staffed station and commercial use building. Originally known as the Brush Hill Train Station, the depot was designed for the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad by staff architect Walter Theodore Krausch, built by Grace & Hyde Company in 1899, and is listed as a contributing building in the Downtown Hinsdale Historic District.
